I think you forgot to mention that there's two main zippers on this jacket. The inner, smaller zipper acts as additional ventiliation. Great idea from rev'it

By the way - if you have access to Revit did you by any chance try the new Defender 3? It's a step up from Sand 4, but I can't find any reviews on that

Agree about the pockets. I've solved this by using a shoulder security bag which I wear under any jacket. It's also waterproof and very tough. And stays with me if I remove the jacket when I eat etc etc.
I like my jacket cut a bit longer to help stop water pooling in my crotch area. A bit heavier but keeps the important areas drier longer.
    But that is good kit.
    Safe,happy travels 👍

It's a great suit and I like mine. But I really would have liked to have at least one of the big outside pockets to be waterproof. It's quite annoying to not have a waterproof pocket.

Rev'it is the first motorcycle clothing brand that I tried since getting my licence (about 4 years now). I just stick with it because of the nice quality, fit and function. When I want to make a choice for gear I come back to Rev'it almost each and every time. Now after couple of years I have thousands of euros worth of Rev'it gear😅

I have the exact jacket love the colour but I was disappointed in paying 500 euros and no back protector
I'm also not a big fan of the colour of the inside water proofing it's a good Idea to wear it on the outside but the problem is black in summer is just far to hot
I hope they improve the pockets and consider ventilation around the neck area I summer this is a very big problem I found .

I know one thing. Those Oxford Heated Grips are the cat's meow. Much better than the factory equipment. I don't give a shit who pays for them, very worth it.
RevIt has really come a long way in the last seven or so years. Much improved and it works. Noraly (Itchy Boots) went to the HQ in Holland. The design and testing centers were top notch modern facilities with people who ride and know the difference between good and make believe. Those wet pockets are certainly of issue. I have some jackets which have totally waterproof separate zippered pockets deep/large enough to get your credentials and other items in and out. I am particular as hell about where I store my items. I have a certain way/routine with each one. I like to know where in the hell everything is at. You can't backtrack and hunt items there generally is not time for it and language barriers do exist. It is of big issue. Pants pockets need to be for each hand with zippers and waterproof as well. Big enough to get your hands in deep. I keep my spending money and as we say out folding money in different places. You can't be pulling different moneys out all the time. Big security issue in crowds. Get messed up bad that way. I've worn my clothes that way all my life and I don't want to change now at this later age. So easy to forget and loose important items. The pants, do they feel comfortable against your hide? Do you have to wear long undergarmets because of texture of materials? Hey, good report Pavlin. Much enjoyed. RTW

I bought my Revit Sand 4 H20 at the end of November 2023 for ca. 760 euro in Poland. Before I had Revit Sand 2 which I bought in Germany for ca 500 euro or less if I remember correctly and I rode with it for 10 years !!! I had only couple problems with it during that time. Some reflective parts fall off, I burned a little my pants from exhaust and waterproof layer started to have holes and abrasions, so they started to leak especially on the crotch. The quality of the rest was supreme. All zippers, velcos worked perfectly till the end. So for me this was enough to buy Revit again. I hope this new gear also will last at least the same time. Good job Rev'it :) Regards

I am about to start a longer trip and would like to take my PC with me. Since I am using soft lugage as well, I am a bit concernd to damage my PC in the case I crash the bike. What do you think its the best way to protect a PC, respectevely how to store it on the bike in the case of dropping the bike.

Well no doubt that Revit it is a big name on this field !
But i have to be honest that for approx that price or even less, you have fiew brands which ofers way better proction than this modele.
Personally i have to mention this following brands: Modeka Panamericana, Rebelhorn Patrol and RST Adventure X are literally one of the best mid-level brands, which thay ofers ton of quality protection, and which is pretty hard to find any cons on tham.
Any way everything will be fine, if this jacket would cost no more than 400€ and pants no more than 300€ 👍

The thing with waterproof liners is that non gore tex lines will probably start leaking in a couple years use, these lines slowly degrade over time. Gore tex liners will stay good for much longer but the key for waterproof liners is to wash it!!!!!! washing waterproof liners will clean the little pores in the membrane and keep it functional, washing waterproof membranes is very important!!!!!! (PS dont wash with regular detergent)

  • @martyn_g

I have this jacket. I junked the liners after a month. Why? On a long trip, drying out the jacket when it gets wet is a pain in the arse. So I replaced it with a waterproof outer. The inner was too bulky, so I use wool base layers instead. Otherwise, it’s really good!

I have the jacket and pants. With all liners in I have ridden down to freezing and been comfortable in the areas they covered (hands and face were freezing with what I was wearing though) they will also fit jeans and a sweatshirt underneath for commuting. In high 80s, around town riding felt as if I was wearing nothing with the airflow at speed (even with back and chest protectors) I’ve only had a few dirt spills with it on and have no injuries to report. Speaking of dirt, although it is a little tight at first, they can fit over my fox dirt boots with both liners in. One little nugget I want to share is that with my earplugs contained in a cylindrical aluminum tube, I am able to clip it to the tab on the chest and put it in the nylon loop keeping it completely still while riding. It’s nice having that out of the way but always on me. I am completely satisfied with the jacket on the road, however it should be noted that I’m coming from dirt and this is my first jacket. My only point of comparison is dirt gear including roost guards and over-leg knee guards.

I really like my Sand4. The pants can be a bit heavy, especially with the liners so adding the suspenders was helpful. I originally kept the jacket zipped to the pants to keep my pants from sliding down, but doing up that zipper while wearing them was a huge pain. I wish they had made that zipper with the toggle reversible to make doing it up easier.
