Why change it? Forrest is known as one of the best tacticians in battle. Dang, those who rewrite history is bound to lose it, or repeat it.

This all started in the 1990s when a group of MTSU students were (as they later told a reporter) talking about how college students in the 1960s accomplished a lot with the civil rights movement and other causes, then started asking themselves if there was anything they could do. They eventually settled on changing the university mascot and any names that they felt were somehow offensive. ...just so they could feel like they had also done something meaningful with their college years.
Repeating past mistakes is easier to do, once you erase the history of those mistakes and prevent people from learning from them.

Postmodern military success isn't measured on the battlefield but by the amount of DEI standards beared. Strategy and survival are irrelevant; your soul will invariably be wisped away to rainbow-colored Valhalla by a blue-haired, septum-pierced, androgenous Valkyrie.
