Kixstar was the reason I watched pro league, when he passed not only did I stop watching, I stopped playing all together. Just picked it back up a around a month ago.
I never cried about any strangers death until KiXstar's. If his voice was around the game today it would literally change the way casual players see pro league. Also, a lot of people don't know but that Pojoman clutch popularized typing "gn" after a good shot.
I first met Kix in 2017 at the ESL studio in Katowice, Poland. It was my third week on the job at Ubi. I got to know him to a friendly degree over the next few years working together. Kix was warm beyond belief, charming, and so full of energy (when he got enough sleep, haha). He was a good guy to be around, just radiated positivity. The last time I saw him was in 2021 at the Mexico Major. I'm sad to say that my last interaction with him wasn't the one I want to remember as our last, that's something I will always regret. Rest In Peace.
I stopped playing R6S in 2017, I would still watch videos of Serenity and MacieJay, but occasionally would tune into the R6S live streams and KiX made me stay even though I had no idea who he was and I didn't want to play Seige anymore. He kept me engaged enough to watch. RIP dude. 🕊 Thank you for the video. 🙌
He half assed a video from theScore Esports from 2 years ago and changed a few lines in some takes, because even the footage when he was talking some stuff is the same. lmao
I played a counter strike match with Kixstar about 6 years ago. He mentioned in the game that he had recently retired from being a pro siege player. We 5 stacked with the pug we were in and ran a few games. I would watch his stream from time to time over the next year or 2 and then completely forgot about the guy. Just came across this video and couldn't believe it. Its really great to see what an impact he had on siege and how far he got with casting and its incredibly sad that his life was cut short.
what got me into seige initially. rip kix had such entertaining casting n I enjoyed watchin his fast aggressive style of playin the game in early days 🕊️ gr vid
RIP. I didn’t even know he passed until this video popped up in my feed… I used to watch pL all the time and spent countless hours of my middle and high school years playing siege, but about halfway through high school I stopped gaming and having really been into it for the past 3 or so years. Kix’s voice is for sure a core memory of that time and watching this video brought me back about 5 or so years. I hate that he passed so soon, would’ve loved to see him commentating in this era of siege, now that theres a new wave of players jynxi and these other siege influencers brought in today, I know he would’ve smashed it.
Damn man, I started playing seige year one and KiX was THE MAN. I've been so out of the loop I had no idea he passed. A true legend of the community. What a kick in the gut.
This shit made me sad. Great video man it gave me nostalgia like almost nothing before. I was there, this was my prime time Siege. And it kinda died for me when Kix passes. I watched tons of esports this duo was so fun to watch and the game was so fun. Thanks for that nostalgia hit man.
It's been 3 years, goddamn. I remember when I first started playing R6S back in 2019, it was Kixstar and Beaulo's playstyle that influenced how I play the game but mostly KiX tho, his insights and game sense in his vids and clips helped a lot in solo ranked cause I didn't have a duo or party back then unlike now. To add for last, I haven't watched any recent R6S esports since the year he passed, it just don't feel the same without him, nothing against the other casters and so on. Rest in peace KiXstar, god rest your soul.
Just wanted to compliment your editing. I really liked how you spliced in like video clips/examples too accompany the specific points in your narration. Good storyteller, nice vid 👍
He half assed a video from theScore Esports from 2 years ago and changed a few lines in some takes, because even the footage when he was talking some stuff is the same.
Thank god i got a picture with him and his signature in 2019 during invitationals in Montreal. he was def my fave caster and siege streamer back when i played.
Kix was one of my favorite things about siege that got me into he game and community. Full of excitement and knowledge at all times just made the game click in those "what's even happening" moments.
Seemed like a great guy Rip kix, I haven't played siege in a while but and never watched pro league to intensely however some of the clips you showed I was brought back and I think they were made so memorable because of kix's talent.
Great video, playing SIEGE early on and almost breaking past Top 12 in ESL was fun memories. KIXSTAR was such an inspiration.......greatly missed, RIP Legend!
I got to meet Kix and Interro at the first invitational. Both were so pleasant to speak with and beyond friendly. We really lost one of the most integral components of not just R6 Esports but R6 as a whole. RIP KIX, we will never forget such a loveable and knowledgeable player/caster. You single handly got me invested in the game.
i remember watching him stream on new years 2018 when he was in Poland, him showing the stream the fireworks out of his kitchen window is a core memory for me, i still can believe hes gone, when kix died my love for siege died, i miss you kixstar, rest in peace.
Man, I remember this day clearly. I remember where I was and what I was doing at the time. I still have a video of him in my phone where he goes "OH you need some ice for that burn"
i've never really like watching any pro league comp game, but how he casting the game its really different, giving me the real vibe like i playing the game while i'm just watching pros playing, he really the GOAT of R6S communty RIP my GOAT
He’s quite literally why I started playing the game back in 2015, such an unreal experience how someone who didn’t know you existed had such an impact on your life.
Wow this gives me flashbacks.. Kix was the one who got me into R6 Pro Play. He was my idol and when I attended at Dreamhack Austin 2018 as a player myself I met Kix in person for the first time. Still surreal to me that he is gone..
Props to him. Hes only 2 years older than me and I couldn’t imagine doing what he did for the game. I’m just now feeling grown enough to deserve my family I created, let alone moving far away from home in hopes that your life path is one worth creating.
He had just gotten his license and was so stoked about his first car. That last stream he called it, said he was gonna go drive with a friend, we all said "drive safely" and have a good night. He had such insight into the world, I'll miss our convos.
I remember watching him back in 2015-2016 when i first started playing r6, Kix and MacieJay were the reason i always strived to get better at the game. rest up homie
My buddy back in high school use to play with him and he told me all about him and his time playing with R6 pro, even showed me some clips with him back in the day, Rip kick, fly high bro bro.
I don't know much about the siege community and i just kinda clicked on this video to see how some guy just messed up in his commentating career but the video just took a turn that I was not expecting good on you for letting people know about this never played siege but I bet his commentating was great
Man it’s such a shame I didn’t watch siege esports when I was younger I only recently found out about KiX and as a half deaf gamer he instantly became a motivation for me.
Back in the day I had met KiX in a ranked game and played with him on the same team, exceptional player and he was very kind to us too, I was quite shocked when I eard he had passed. Hopefully he knew Christ in his life
I played Siege heavily at launch for the first few years but I don't really play anymore. I still have my Kixstar charm on every gun. It's the only one I use.
I’m so what’s newer to siege staring out in 2022 and recently started actually playing more so I’m just first hearing about him and his passing. Bad things really do happen to good people. Man seemed great, may he rest in peace
There is a reason why many claim that they only started watching pro league cause of him. His knowledge of the game at high levels coupled with his ability to break things down for the viewers makes siege much more interesting to watch.
Kixstar wasnt better when R6 came out because he had so much experience. There is probably several thousand people who logged in that day with about 10 thousand more hours on CS2 and performed mechanically the exact same on day 1.
i havent seen kix in years and then i saw that he was live so i joined his stream but he was just about to end the stream... the next day he streamt again but i missed it and now we all know this was his last stream... R.I.P fucking legend!
It annoys me that all Ubisoft did was add a little sign for him on plane (a map most people wont play) I know it was because of his famous ace but I feel like they could have done so much more for his contributions to the game
Kixstarr will forever be a legend. Broke my heart when i found out about his passing. It was hard hearing Interro break down explaining what happened. He will forever be remembered as the greatest caster of R6 of all time.
yeah i havent watched pro league or events after kix left. therefore even missed beaulo winning, which i always wanted to see it happen but listening to games being casted without kix was just too different. it just felt awkward, hopefully it got better now tho. i also stopped watching streams in general as well. used to casually watch kix kinggeorge and such but after the event i just stopped all together. now i just watch maciejays youtube vid only.
Kixstar was the reason I watched pro league, when he passed not only did I stop watching, I stopped playing all together. Just picked it back up a around a month ago.
Grand final matches have never been the same without Kix and Interro casting
me too brother.
You simply cannot name a better casting duo than Interro and KiX
Interro and Jesse
OMG MOTH
Ollie and demo. For the comedy.

I really hope Siege and Ubisoft honor KiX just like they did to BostonBearJew. I know they gave him a plaque, but he deserves way more than that imo.
True!
There is a sign where he got 5 kills in I think 10 seconds on the wall on the plane map with his name on it
@@666kavanaghthat is the plaque he was talking about
I use the Kixstar charm on every single gun and operator. Miss you so much Kix. Siege isn’t the same without you
Kix charm is best charm
I use icy cats too.
Lol no while I play I either see jynxzi charm or the waffle charm
i will never use any other charm but that one

I used to watch him years ago like in 2018 where he would sometimes take breaks from siege and play Tarkov before it blew up
I havent played seige in years and only just found this out spent hundreds of hours watching him and pro league years ago
I genuinely stopped watching twitch streams as a whole after he left. He consoled me when I was struggling very hard with mental health.
just imagine if he was still here today R6 would be in a different level
