Saw Elvis Presley live in 1975. When he walked onto the stage pandemonium broke out. During the show when he looked one side of the auditorium to the music, you can feel like a vibe of energy when he looked in your direction. The guy just had something!
Funny Sullivan didn't like Elvis and didn't want him on his show until Milton Berle had him on his show and took all the ratings. You guys are the best. I lived those years I am 80 and he was a hurricane that swept into our lives. He had it all, and in the mist of all of his talent, he was a good man, he was a humanitarian and a generous soul. Sometime if you could check out "Elvis Presley the king of Kindness" or "Elvis Presley a Generous Heart", all on youtube, it gives you insight into his true believe in God and helping people. He was so dirt poor, raised in a black ghetto and never forgot it. thank you for keeping his memory alive, thanks and be Blessed.
The picture at 25 seconds wasn't from this performance. He first did this song on the Milton Berle Show Lune 2, 1956. That performance was wilder than what he did on Ed's show.
See him on the Milton Berle Show too. That was when the censorship kicked off. Out of and audience of 40 million , there was 200,000 complaints about Elvis’s “ vulgar” movements on stage. Milton Berle loved Elvis and said “ they’ve got a star on their hands”. It was Steve Allen who didn’t actually like Elvis, but knew his viewers wanted to see Elvis so he insisted he’d only be filmed from the waist up on his next show. But even Elvis’s shoulders shaking caused the girls to scream!!! More Elvis please!! 🙏👌💕🕺
Hey John & Lulu, Elvis was so much more than a singer? Great Humor, Entertainer just an Amazing Human!! As a Singer he's Unmatched, he inspired me and thousands of others and he still is RIP Elvis🙏😇
I love watching these live versions of Elvis back in the early days. Hound Dog is a great song! It was first recorded by Big Mama Thornton in 1952. Elvis made it famous & performed it on the "Ed Sullivan" show in 1956. Many times you will see the backup quartet singers called "The Jordanaires" with him. They performed with Elvis in live appearances, on his recordings & in his films in the 50's-70's. Elvis' movements were considered scandalous to show on TV. Some shows only filmed him from the waist up.
This always makes me proud as well as sad....EP had come so far and yet, his time was limited. Love all his early TV appearances....so sweet and ahead of his time. Bless his beautiful soul 💯⚡❤
Elvis brought me to your channel... I loved your reaction. Wasn't he just the coolest and most adorable superstar around!!! He will never be forgotten. More Elvis please... 👍🤗⚡🎵🎧🇿🇦
ANOTHER AWESOME REACT from y'all.... Christmas is around the corner and he had a lot of Christmas songs as well. You would love Blue Christmas and would be great for this time of year.
I was 12 years old in 1977 when he died. I saw this (or another Ed Sullivan clip) on the news. My jaw dropped (as well as my first egg 😅 ). I’ve been obsessed with him ever since.
Elvis Presley’s dance moves were inspired by James ‘Big Chief’ Wetherington. The ‘Big Chief’ was the bass singer for the Statesmen Quartet. If I could see Elvis Presley perform it wouldn’t be with him on stage. I would have loved to been there when he would come off stage and with his friends sing gospel. Those all night gospel sings would have been something. My favourite Elvis Presley song is “Without Him”.
Like no other, Elvis had issues with stage fright from the beginning to the end of his career. But once he broke the ice, he forgot all about it :) Back then, many families had no TV and not even a record player. Most people have listened to music on the radio. Teenagers had to wait for the time Elvis was played on the radio again. Nowadays, that`s hard to imagine. Imagine the girls who finally got a ticket for one of Elvis`s concerts, or like in this case, a ticket for the Ed Sullivan Show. Of course, they were screaming their heads off. They probably haven`t been sleeping for days. All the anticipation and suspense, and then BOOM and he is standing some feet away from you. It must have been crazy to feel that amount of electricity going through your whole body :)))
There are many great Elvis performances you can listen and react to from his 1968 comeback special as well as from his Las Vegas concerts from 1969-70.
Ed Sullivan wouldn't show them, but the moves your speaking of can be seen on The MILTON BERLE Show, when Elvis does "Hound Dog". This is one of the earlier performances when they still broadcast his whole body, and his provocative dance Elvis also does a comedy skit with Uncle Milty. It's better than this video.
Elvis Elvis Elvis es irresistible irritablemente hermoso sensual y su carisma es insuperable más Elvis por favor sugiero " Blue Christmas " especial del 68 comeback special Please thanks thanks very much 😏🫶
I see many reacting to this song, but most chose the Ed sullivan show, which is a shame as the version from The Milton Bearle show are much better, and is the version that started all the "trouble" for him. He really let go in that one, without his guitar, slowing it down in the end, catching his musicians of guard, and al.ost makes love to the microphone. Make sure to get the uncut version as the other cut the best parts out .

The acual performance which caused all the outrage was on The Milton Berle show in 1956
Elvis had the whole package, voice, moves, looks charisma, that's why he is the king of rock n roll. ❤
You can feel a tidal wave of charisma coming off him, but you can't point to whatever he's doing to make you feel it.
the only Goat! please do more Elvis!
The King!!! 🙌

Elvis was incredible. His charisma never will be matched.
Elvis's Hound Dog performance on the Milton Berle show is the version that was copied in the movie. Love the slo-mo

While watching his 68 special I heard a girl cry out, " oh my god, i can't believe this is happening!"
❤️🌹💋❤️🌹💋❤️
Lmao, all elvis had to do is smile or wave and the girls was screaming. Lol... he got into the music.
He is gone, but women are still falling in love with him. Lol
Elvis is so Cool !!!

Love Me Tender in Vegas.
There are many great Elvis performances you can listen and react to from his 1968 comeback special as well as from his Las Vegas concerts from 1969-70.
Same song on Milton betel gf l show has a bit different ending. Truly great. Thank you.

Please do “love me tender”. 1970. It was in the movie , where he was kissing girls. Tyvm for your reaction

The movie shows his performance on The Milton Berle Show.
Watch SRV…Stevie Ray Vaughan and no, nobody rejected ELVIS THE PELVIS…😆
He's the king! The queen = Ann Margret, the female Elvis!
Forrest Gump taught him the moves
The "Elvis" movie was about Baz Luhrmanns ego, not Elvis Presley.
The Milton Berle show he did on the song is way better👍
