Can't Even Look At It... Metal Detecting a 1720's Homesite Leaves Him CRUSHED By the Unthinkable!

- When you get permission to metal detect a house that goes back 300 years the anticipation is overwhelming. You have a chance to find coins, buttons, buckles, or really anything that our earliest ancestors had in this newly formed country. Now over the years we’ve all found a ton of amazing things from places like this, but even still, we each have our own ‘bucket list’ of very specific items that we’ve never found and by all accounts should have but they’ve somehow managed to elude us. Well this particular location has already given up some remarkable things already; everything from colonial copper coins, old large cents, bells, buttons, silver, heck even gold! But on this last trip one of those specific Bucket List items surfaces and surprises us all, but it may not found by the person wanting it the most!

I think it’s very cool that once in awhile you stop your hunt to appreciate nature! Love you guys!
I’ll be 70 soon and it’s great to see Doug still metal detecting and I hope too keep metal detecting too
My friend Mark Kus, his dad was out with us last year and he’s 90 🏋🏻♂️
I will be 71 next February. My trick is to take a Motrin in the morning before detecting. No age limit on this hobby. And like Dog Tag Doug, good knee pads.
Great hunt ! Jessica makes a nice addition to your crew
What a beautiful addition, Indeed! More please!
Welcoming Jessica to the crew, I can tell she's a natural. Really nice job everyone, exceptional recoveries!
This show is the best metal detecting show I have seen so far. Keep up the good work!!!
What a great day,
Thanks to everyone, especially the homeowners,
for sharing
these exciting digs!!
Rich has a real talent, I suspect he really takes a lot of time
no matter the alleged signal.
Cheers,
Rik Spector
former Joisey boy
You guys rock!! The interaction between you all , i love the humor and enthousiasme. Enjoy it every time again .
Thanks .
Let’s go, let’s go treasure and Adventure💕🌺🇺🇸✌️🎉👵
Exciting news! Rose number [114] is my contribution to your garden. 🌹 I hope it blooms with the essence of your creativity. Can't wait to see our collaborative garden filled with unique flowers! 🌷😊
Great finds everyone, awesome old house!!!
Congrats Jessica!
What a killer spot! Y’all have topped yourselves again! Congratulations on a great hunt! Sweet coin finds! You rock!
One day can you do a video on some before and after clips on finds after you clean them?
Nice find Rich !!!!!!!!
Awesome hunt and finds. Spectacular Antiques. 👊
Don't sweat it, Doug! You'll pull out the best looking first year Flying Eagle ever seen to mankind! Or at least I'm hoping for ya!
Always catch myself holding my breath waiting for the reveal. Wonderful site!😊
I really enjoy watching you old codgers (I’m one myself) but it’s fun to have the energy of a young woman involved as well. Nice video.
That dog tag is from the same year my grandpa was born and my house was built. I consider that a very good year!
To me, a broken Crotal bell is just as good as a whole one. They display nicely all lined up from best to worst condition. 💥💥💥
Love your 1795 liberty cap large cent awesome hunt guys thanks for sharing!!!!
Clicked the button and heard the story where the 'owner' lived in a cave for two years (0:12)... the question that popped to mind was... "Did you detect the CAVE?"
Very pretty young lady 🎉
Nice job y'all 👍🤓👍❣️thanks for sharing
This show is great. Love the camerawork and calm interesting information.
Awesome video and finds!
Jason, you just kill it being the host (namesake)! You ARE the best. Your knowledge has grown since the beginning and even though I’m in the Midwest, learning about the coinage in your area is fascinating! Thx, Steve
Awesome hunt guys and gals....Sweet finds for everyone...👍
Nicely done guys, good hunt I enjoyed the video. 🇺🇸
Love the 108 year old dog tag as well as all of the other great finds. Super interesting seeing and learning about the homeowners antiques too. Nice hunt my friends. 💥
Great video, as always.Jessica makes a nice addition. Keep it going, y'all .
Doug..what's up with the cane! Love the praying mantis! Great work folks!

Another great hunt guys, thats been a real hit of a permission, scott was cool letting you dig his property, see you next week fellas
Cool finds ❤🔥❤️
What an incredible history that home holds. Fantastic!
12:22 Looks like a William Barton crotal bell to me with a B.
Just got permission for my son and I at a 1780 homestead. Going for the first time Saturday. We're all excited as what could be..
@@dogtagdoug6751 Went for 2hrs. Was invited back whenever we want. Snagged a 1787 Half Penny nearly 10inches down under a piece of red brick, A sterling medal, some wheats, some spoons, an 1800s period letter opener. Watched your video again, I'm certain something good will come out of BOTH places...
Awesome group, you all did great! Also very cool old house! This place produced really good finds! 😮
Great video. I love you add such a personal touch to your videos.
Great history yet again , much to research!
What a great day. Jess is so awesome! She was there when I dug my GW at COS
Love watching you guys love the old history houses and the relics you guys find so awesome a special shout out to Doug!!!
Great crew. Great finds. Great watch. Many thanks
Another good day's hunting. Great vibrancy. Nice carrier pigeon one cent coin Rich! Thanks for this video. All my best, from me, 'in the sticks,' in the UK.
I’ve met you a few times now, and always enjoy your adventures. I feel like part of the group when I see what you explore and find.
Awesome! The foot warmer was cool. I had never seen one. We heated flat irons on top of the wood/coal stove, wrapped them in towels, and put them under the covers at our feet. It made those cold beds tolerable. 😉♥
Awesome finds and cool antiques! I recently found a watch fob from the odd fellowship. Very interesting! Nice liberty cap and blow hole button, I'm still searching for both! What an amazing house, great finds, and even better detectorists!! Wicked happy hunting!
Thanks Chris. I caught the replay of your Treasure Talk show. You guys are doing Nokta proud man!
@@QuarterHoarder thank you, I appreciate that very much!!
Congratulations on all the cool finds this week! And congratulations to Jessica on the bucket list V nickel..I love to see when people find something they never found before, always fun to see their excitement! Good job everyone, see you on the next one...😎
Very nice guys thanks for sharing this six stars
Awesome fines
Great hunt and awesome finds really liked the antique game yas played very cool history God Bless and happy dirt fishin
Fantastic finds👌🏻 Thank you for sharing.
Great video. All those cool finds, the liberty cap largie and vintage dog tag Jason found, the awesome flying eagle cent and classic head, the buttons Rich found, Jessica's V nickel, Charley's cool relic. And of course Doug, i have a nick name for him ( the praying mantis whisperer) lol. God bless you all.
That was a great video! I especially enjoyed the praying mantis and antique segments! Everyone did well with the coin and relic finds, but the funniest part for me was early on when you showed Rich's "fattie" and then brought Doug in, I knew it was an FE cent right then. Nicely done all!
Hysterical 🤣😂
Thanks Team Hoarder. have a great Christmas and Let's all hope for a better New Year.
I just ordered my first metal detector by Kellyco I got a LEGEND WROOOHA
Nice choice. That’s what I swing, when the ground isn’t frozen that is. 😩
@vix1960 yeah frozen lol 😆 I don't think I'm that committed 😅 but I'll give it a shot lol
Another awesome hunt gang, cool antiques too. 🏋🏻♂️
What a beautiful house.
Hey! I have that same exact Costa hat as Jessica! Awesome dig with some great friends!
Nice work kids!!
You sure find those nice liberty caped bust large cents nice find
Great bit of Diggin all around
In one of your episodes I would love to hear your advice and reflection on experiences gaining permission to detection private property. I think it’s a huge hurdle for most of us.
Absolutely amazing finds
Very good finds this was a good day
Great finds guys!
Great digs! Wow, I would love to dig stuff like that. I usually find nails or modern junk. Lol
Love your shirt Doug!
Rich might have the Flying Eagle Eye but Doug takes the shirt for the day!
This is an awesome site! Way to go guys! Love the history lesson too.
Diggng the flying eagle and old dog tag out of Doug's hands...:-( . Nice button and coin finds today...
Great Hunt Jason. Doug I'm pulling for you with the Flying Eagle Cent. It will happen. I had amazing day today once in a lifetime spill. Love the praying mantis and Butter Knife. Jess Congrats on that awesome lock and your first V Nickle. Rich Congrats on the Flying Eagle Buttons and Bells. Jason love the 1915 Dog Tag and Coppers. Take Care all of you
21st like, good tuesday afternoon, your videos are so cool, i love digging up old history
You and Charlie have 1/2 of one good eye. LOL!!!
really enjoyed the "guess the antique" segment....**hint hint** if Lynn ever thought of her own youtube show
If you guys dig here again, you should show the cave the home builder lived in. that would be neat.
Great finds especially the British Crotal Bell, because I am British.. I got both of the puzzle objects. The third left hole in the ballot box was for the ball you didn't use. The wood on the carriage foot warmer didn't burn because the inside was lined with zinc sheet.
Rich's bell looks more like a hand bell than a Conestoga bell. Handles were wood so they rot away. I've found a few of them at older properties. Great hunt!
Another amazing property!! I hunt alone and it starts to get boring after awhile. My husband & son have come with me a cpl times and its always more fun having someone to share your cool finds with or lack of 😆 Im curious how you all met one another?
I dig alot and would love to dig with you guys just once. You guys have so much fun and I love the way you explain everything so many videos don't do that. Member of ddpa .
Ha! I knew a flying eagle just from the title. Darn thumbnail had me thinking Doug finally got one.
Yay! Kwottah hodduh!
Saludos 🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖✌️✌️✌️👍👍👍👍
Doug's shirt is hilarious!
Rich is on the great finds. Congrats to him. ..:Like Rich’s newish sling bag. What’s the brand and where he got it? Ask please. I want one.
Awesome video and finds as usual! 👍🏼
1915 dog tag is amazing!
Nothing better than finding a U.S. Flying Turkey cent!! Congrats team quarter hoarder!!
Hello Quarter Hoarder,Dog Tag Doug ,Rich and Matt
Great Show Guys, where can a fellow get one of those lanyards? Thanks
You make great videos
Dang , someone on the crew must have gotten distracted after they dug that hole then came back and just filled it in without retrieving the target 😂 lucky liberty cap Jason !!!
The buckle almost looks like a confederate clipped corner buckle... just a tad different on the reverse. Awesome find!
Hey guys you have great videos
Jessica! Movie star smile!
👍👍
Can you make a video on how you clean the coins after you get home with them?
I thought you said scrotum bell instead crotal bell 😂
Digging those 18th century coin flubs...in legal tender corrosive currency and the wonder of the diggers at their finds!, history has commercial revelations.😀
we all learn something new every day.
