Honestly, that simple "misunderstanding" turned into a sweet combination with the red exterior. The only thing missing, although you can't get it from the factory, would be a CAT C-16 625hp. Overall, a fantastic truck! Well done!

Beautiful truck Andy. The only thing that I would have ordered different is the visor and window shades in chrome, just to break up the red a little.
9 month waiting list for a new W900 from the Chillicothe, Ohio plant where they're made.
Western Star Transportation had antire fleet of KW studio trucks domiciled in Carson Calif and I drove a number of them for a couple years.
Pros : The couch was best thing about it with sunken floor 86" sleeper and a beautiful dashboard - overall a great looking truck very picturesque - very roomy - I literally lived out of it for 8 months - took me 2 hours and 9 duffle bags to move out of it when I was done with it
Cons : same size compressor as smaller bunk trucks so bunk AC wasn't very accommodating. Need a football field to turn it around. I've had to drive up a sidewalk in Queens NY to back into a dock on the other side of the street - weight issues on the drives are fairly common place with reefer loads and fuel mileage gets real sucky above 68mph and on hills and all of them were 10 speed Eaton Fuller only
The turn radius has always been an issue with the W9L and Pete 359,379 and 389s due to wheel base and front axle placement. You just learn to compensate. Never had an issue with the compressor as I don't idle my trucks. Put an APU on it or with a midroof an aftermarket heating and cooling system with an Onin generator and no problem ( I have a 180" Sleeper on mine).

Love the square hole wheels they look so super cool rolling out at slow speed it enhances the sexiness of the truck.
I notice no clearance cab lights still looks sexy without them.
I actually learn to drive trucks on 1999 W900 in 1999 ever since I’m in love with these trucks.
KW need to upgrade those mirrors brackets in all w900 like the ones on this beauty.
Those other ones are so old school that really don’t give the truck any good looks.

That is probably my biggest issue with KW, and honestly its most trucks out there is lack of color for the interior, do you want gray and gray or tan and tan, most trucks have absolutely no contrast. So it leaves it to the owner to get things redone later which can cost alot of money, i think WS is one of the only that actually has multiple interior color options, would like to see KW do that same
I want to get my truck from you, mine will be more a workhorse but she’ll still be lovely as most kenworths are...def be a studio sleeper though. It’s my goal as a trucker to own my own W900L, hope I hit my goal in time to get one from you!

Nice looking truck. No tow hooks up front might present a problem and not a fan of the fiberglass drive wheel covers. Prefer the stainless. First blow out on a drive and you're going to have to replace the wheel cover. Interior color scheme is sweet. Gives me ideas for my next W9....🤔

Awesome truck! I don’t really get the Seattle pkg stuff with the button tuck panels. Would look cleaner with smoother panels.
It's looks great !!!! ACCEPT... for the wheels should have done the round holes, mirror mounts should have not been painted, elephant ears should have been put over air cleaners, and tail light bars should be mounted. Other than that looks good.

I just started driving and I am chrome crazy already. I was wondering if some of the studio sleeper configurations will allow you to twin bunk and run one of these as a team truck. Or, is that absolute sacrilege?
would have gone with a chrome 1/4 fender myself instead of the full red fenders otherwise its a sweet truck.nice job andy.

Has Kenworth gone back to a fiberglass hood ? instead of Metton since you said the holes were reglassed when turn signals were removed, buttons of interior need to be different color

I'd still have the couch just because it's cool to have one in the sleeper that turns into a bed ✌️
I have the couch in my W900 and I HATE IT!!! I added an APU to the truck and the HVAC box goes under the bed. The frame from the couch was in the way and took hours of modifying. Next truck will have a standard bed.
