When you are in the car business, sometimes bad things can happen. But this owner or dealership knew this truck was about to break down. My strategy selling used cars and trucks is to inspect every unit I am selling before I put it on my lot. I will fix anything needs repaired. And when my customer stops by, I will take him/her on a test drive. After the test drive, if my customer decides to buy the vehicle, I will take him/her to a certified mechanic shop to inspect the car or truck for the second time. This is my strategy to make sure my customers are pleased with what they purchased.

Those single cab trucks come with 4l60e's if I remember correctly, so yeah that trans wasn't long for this world even in stock form. But good news is you can buy a used 4l80e that's still in good condition, throw in a shift kit and a converter and not worry about it again. Seen stock 4l80e last for years with 700-1000whp
