- What are you grateful for? I'm grateful for my parents teaching me to appreciate and care for the things I already have. I'm grateful for this new pair of shoes. I'm grateful for the ability to care for my feet and for the ability to buy myself a new paint of shoes.
#Gratitude
I appreciate this so much ❤. I am grateful for a peaceful household - quietude, solace, privacy and filled with love
I am grateful I could eat breakfast today. Thanks for always sharing and being vulnerable with us. I appreciate you! ❤
Shout out to you! Thanks for this timely reminder/lesson in gratitude. Thank you for sharing and your vulnerability. You are appreciated more than you'll EVER know🤗😃
Yes! Thank you for sharing this!💛
By the way, I too came from poverty, but when you're a kid, you don't know it! My divorced Mom worked two jobs to make ends meet, in homes where prejudiced people lived, tolerating who knows what! We lived in the projects, I with 5 other siblings, wore hand me downs, etc. Yes it's a Nice feeling, the ability to purchase things u need, want, desire- Independence, eating out when u choose, going where u want- u have a car! God has Really Blessed us! We are a Long way from where we use to be, Graced by God's Favor, HALLELUJAH. Yes, I am Indeed Grateful! ♥️♥️♥️
Your smile is intoxicating 💙💚
🥹🥰💛 Oh wow. 🥹 I've never gotten this compliment before. 🥰🫂🫂🫂🌺💗🌻 Thank you so much, Gorgeous!!!
You deserve so much! Treat yourself ❤
all of your content feels like a breath of fresh air. I show gratitude for you. You are my "new pair of Shoes" . :) keep glowing sis!
I understand this. I grew up having one pair each of school shoes, church shoes, athletic shoes, boots for bad weather, and sandals. I don't recall having more than one pair of any until well into adulthood.
Amen and AMEN. What a blessing feet are. I have been BLESSED to have been able to travel to many places and when I think that these (same) feet climbed the Swiss Alps, walked to the top of Megiddo in Israel, hiked Acadia National Park in Maine at sunrise to see where the sun rises first in the US and that they’ve taken me to many basic places ....including to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I marvel. 😞
I look at my feet and look back even as I remember walking to school in first grade with those little feet.
I haven’t had foot problems yet my feet have literally carried me literally _everywhere_ I have ever been in this life, on this planet.
My LORD, I’m so thankful for my feet and my shoes. I do not take any of this for granted.
Thank you, Alecia, for this lovely reminder of the blessing of feet and shoes. 👣

Hey Alicia. I always enjoy listening to you and your husband. I absolutely wish I could find a circle of like-minded people here in KC where I live. Shout-Out to you and your new shoes. Let’s Go!!!!!
What am I grateful for, SO Much! But a random stranger was going to buy me a fruit cup but they didn't take cards. So, with the money I had just been gifted, I was able to 'Pay It Forward', bought myself & them one instead! 👍♥️✌️
Why do you always happen to say just what we need to hear WHEN we need to hear it? thank you. Today I am grateful that I was able to sleep and awaken naturally, no alarm, and no headache. relief is amazing.
Hiiii Alecia 🥰 love this attitude of gratitude! 🌻💛☀️🙏🏽
Hiiiiiiiii! 🫂🥰💛🌻 Awwwww! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
As a size 12W girlie with extremely flat feet, I should snatch any pair of nice shoes I can find that actually fits my feet. But because I'm constantly worried about money, I will walk right past the every-once-in-a-while pair of great quality shoes that don't make me look like a 75 year-old granny. Then when I need a pair of shoes for a special occasion I don't have them. Have had to forgo the opportunity to go out on what I'm sure were fun nights out because I "had work to do". The truth? I'm broke and my old shoes are broken, or I can't wear the shoes I have with any outfit that would fit the occasion. This is real trauma you're talking about! I'm so happy for you! Polish them nails and smile. Let tomorrow worry about itself. Today, you've got a new pair of shoes and a fresh polish. I'm here for it!!💞
Uau! This video really brought back some unsavoury memories. And served as a wake-up call as well.
I love shoes (I mean, my channel, right 😅)! However, there were times in my childhood when I had to keep on wearing "talking shoes" or donated shoes that didn't fit. I must have buried that memory because your video reminded me of that time.
Thank you so much. Now, I can appreciate what I have in a different way. Now, I can appreciate what I have even more.
I understand. I can remember a time when I wouldn't buy myself shoes & didn't do it until my ex-husband & his wife gave me a gift card. I decided to treat myself to a pair of vans. After that I'd get a pair each Christmas when they gave me a gift card. Then I just decided to do it for myself yearly. Before I wouldn't have bought myself a pair of shoes that costs $70 but now I understand how shoes costs & I need to care for my feet. Thankful.
YES to new shoes that feel like you're walking on clouds!! ☁️ 🎉🫂 (Payless was the SPOT back in the day for all the girlies with wide feet 🙋🏽♀️ I miss it 😭)
Thank you Alecia! Foot care is very important. After having jobs in my younger years, where I had to stand and walk on concrete or hard floors my poor feet require comfortable, good quality shoes! But because of my poverty trauma I have to be mindful not to feel guilty. This was very creative of you to come up with this video topic! It’s important! Btw I recently got a pair of Brooks that make me feel like I’m walking on pillows 😊!
I love this. I bought myself a new pair of sneakers for walking recently. It was nice. I didn't have too much growing up, but I'm also grateful. I may not have had the name brands like others, but my parents made sure I had everything I needed. My parents have a house, we always had food, and we could go on a decent vacation every now and then. At this moment I'm grateful to be able to buy things that I'm actually interested in, like concert tickets.
You are me❤️

Heyyyyyyyyy yaaaaaaaaay🎉
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!! Hiiiiiiiiieeee 🌻🫂☺️💛🌺💐
I never thought about it but I had one pair of shoes as a kid. Maybe some sneakers. We were broke. That said, poverty can lead to gratitude.
I'm happy your feet feel better. I'm the same way! I mean, I grab heels and stuff every once and awhile for "just in case" but my every day shoes I literally wear until they disintegrate, so I get it
Vitamiiiiiin 🥹💛🫂🌺🥰🌻 Thank you so much!!! 💗 And yeeeeeeeeeees! Thank you so much for sharing. I feel seen. Same here. 🌺🌺🌺 You deserve the good stuff!
Why did this show up in my feed today 😭 The poverty trauma is real. I have one pair of tennis shoes with a hole in the bottom of one of them that I have been FIGHTING to keep wearing, and this was an invitation to both be grateful for what I already have when so many people have so little, and to maybe buy a pair of damn shoes. ♥️ thank you as always!
I'm not a shoe or purse person, but who needs 20 pairs of shoes unless they're really into fashion? I'm no fashionista lol
