0:45 this team is my favorite team to watch on outback opal hunters. The man has a huge heart. He cares about Les like his own Father. I'm from Anchorage Alaska and would live to meet the man. Great show.
The Bushmen are great. No matter what you think you have or don't have, just being alive is a gift and if you've got family, friends and your health, well celebrate because you're rich.
Well done you guys never give up such a awesome attitude I always hope you get what you need in the end no matter what happens. All the best guys from NZ 🇳🇿
The buyer has such an incredible advantage in these transactions. He knows the product better, what he can sell it for and he has the negotiating skills the buyers frequently lack. The sellers are often desperate to make a sale and have few options, so they are likely to take any offer that is borderline acceptable.
Does anyone know if this is classified as rough opal? I read opal can go for $50 -$30,000 per gram. These guys are getting about $160 per gram and it seems like high quality opal. There seems to be so many variables that make up price like colour, shape, size etc. It’s like these middle men (buyers) make the most money in regards to the effort , time , initial cost layout and risk compared to the miners.
I root for these guys to hit big!! Would love to see them set for life!! Friggin buyer knows they need the money and still pinches for an extra 500!! CROOK!!
I'm probably going to get roasted for this, but the buyers always seem to get the better deal. The miners have to dig through dirt and rock in the heat and the flies, and put their lives at risk. The buyers just sit around with cash in their pockets waiting to make a, "deal." And they never seem to give a fair one. Just my opinion. 😐💦👎
I assume the risks the buyers make, is that they are buying stones in the rough. Hence, it is a speculation if the stones are actually worth as much as they paid for it.
All they had to do was carry a large amount of cash and then a large amount of gems from there to when they finally sell. That buyer has a buyer working him too. LOL As a miner, the selling is the worst part of it.
That’s the issue with a beggar situation. I really respect these guys but they always seem to low ball their deals before the buyers offer. I really respect them. But they need to negotiate smart.
They need to cut there on stones and set up a web site let his wife handle it these guys are my favorite of all of them but they giving there life away to these buyers it’s a shame to but I know these shows are stage a little he just happened to throw out the right amount
Love it when these two get a bit of cash to keep going. My favourite team.

Well done, you’ve just realised how the small scale mining system works..

Onya boys. Luv the bush fix. Can I buy one of those off you... at mates rates!
Pretty sure that part number is exactly correct
Is Arnold enrolled in some kind of national health plan or anything like that? He probably though he'd be retired by now!
Thermostat is messed up or there's a malfunction with your cooling system mate.
Wow what a total first! I'm the first to watch this video and the first to make a comment!
Hows les new pupp going luv to see him again
its big and its cheezey
its big and cheezy lol
Im presuming those stones only had 1 carat gems in because l thought l saw 6k minimum in the rough 🤔
I love you bushmen I'm hoping one day you strike it rich I think you need to rub your opal finds tho
❤❤❤ vous etes formidable
hese boys need to work on there negotiating. but they were desperate for cash and the buyer knew it.
Ripped them off.
I thought they teamed up with another bloke
They did with the sparky, this is probably old episodes.
These miners need to be creative in negotiations. They need to get closer to the cutter & polisher to get a better price.
😂❤
thats hard to only make 2500.00 after all the work it takes to do what they're doing. hopefully they will make more per views on youtube:??
Only one of those opals in the video was worth 30g probably, not to mention the rest.
Looks like more then 16 grams from here,,,,love these 2 guys but hate to see them get bent over like that!!!!
I agree, Jerry.
An average 50 count US penny roll weighs 31 grams!
Should have took it to Vickie,,,,
They sell too cheap, way too cheap
Wwhy give it away its the old reson your broke ! And the buyer takes advantage of it ! Dog!
That digger doesn’t weigh more than 400 kilograms. These shows are great, we don’t need the imaginary drama
It's sad that you don't get what you asked for 😢
He is bad in bargaining he should have stuck to 3
❤️❤️❤️💎💎💎💎🙏💎🇻🇳
