I’m 63 and ran the Boston marathon in April. In order to qualify, I gave up plants for 6 months. My time improved 28 minutes. I was able to increase training miles from 45 miles a week to 65 miles plus add in strength training, core workout and more speed work. Carnivore is amazing for athletes.
I'm 68 and train for the 400, 800 and low hurdles. Carnivore allows me to recover better than when I was in my 20s(and was high carb like everyone else). CJ is legit world class against the toughest era in his event. It's amazing how he has made it all work. 💪🥩🔥
I know with drinking coffee my resting heart rate goes up by 15-20 beats per minute it slowly diminishes after about 6-8hrsI would assume that without the coffee you’re heart would be stressed less at the back end of the race and you may be able to maintain speed longer with less drop off
Cue the carb addicts and vegans telling us all how you can't compete not eating carbs. 🤷 Although he let me down, not strict carnivore 😂 Gotta switch over completely and dump all plants, I was keto year and half and carnivore is much better in regards to soreness and recovery. I even did experiments with working out and just eating some berries or a sugary drink and it was enough to notice soreness when I usually have none. Although I certainly don't train at your level!

CJ Allen is a legit Olympic athlete at the highest level in the world. Great podcast!
Cj came into my house and threw away all the seed oils in my pantry. Best thing that ever happened to me!
2 overachievers sharing knowledge. Love that.
Be the example. That's all you can do. Keep it up

Great interview. Looking forward to that training session😂 Hope it happens!
