- Hello everyone! & Welcome to my channel! ♡♡♡ I have some sad news to share, but MY LOUIS VUITTON BUMBAG IN MONOGRAM CANVAS IS CRACKING AFTER 4 YEARS! 💔💔💔
In this video I'll show you wear its cracking so that you can prevent it from happening to yours!

All my LV is from the 90’s/2000’s. Not a stitch out of place nor a broken strap. LV should be ashamed def with price INCREASES

Ughhh I’m so sorry this happened to your bum bag . I saw this area as an area for potential cracking because of the bending in that corner , just like my Melie Hobo . I really really loved my Melie Hobo and til this day I wish I would have kept it because the cracks on the canvas folds were so minimal that I really don’t think it would have gotten that bad or that it would have affected the use of the bag , no one would have ever even saw the cracks either . However sadly , I did take the store credit at the time and I chose another style bag . Canvas cracking has always been an issue with coated canvas even with vintage LV . Even if they did have a replacement available , sadly it’s inevitable that it is something that will happen again over time , no matter how many times you replace it with a new one . I agree the quality should be there , hence why the bum bag was my last LV purchase . I started going with and truly enjoying leather bags instead of coated canvas which was always my favorite . Cracks or no cracks I won’t be letting my bum bag go . For me it won’t stop the function and I’m just going to enjoy what I have until the wheels fall off lol . Wow. I have this bag and happen to see mine is cracking on the same side. I honestly am just going to keep mine, especially now. I am curious to see if they make new bumbags and what they will look like. But I love this bag sooo much and use it often. If it was me, I’d keep my bag.
I’m so glad I saw this video. I missed the boat on buying one directly from LV and I’ve been thinking about getting one on the resale market but it would suck to pay so much (and over retail) knowing it will likely crack. Fingers crossed they release a redesigned version. I love the look and I’d get so much wear out of it. Kind of kicking myself not buying one a couple of years ago but maybe it’s for the best considering the cracking.
I hope LV releases a new version that takes all the lessons learned from the old version 🥲
I have this bag too and I love it..luckily until today I always get a good help and advised from Louis vuitton SA in The Netherlands.
Awww…that’s a bummer. My LV Iena PM just started peeling in two spots on one side of the bag. It’s not too noticeable but I’m considering selling it to Fashionphile before it gets worse. 😔😩 I know this video is two months old but did you end up keeping your bumbag? Thank you for sharing!
I love this bag too, glad i got mine before the bag was discontinued. I did check to see if i had any cracking and than God i dont as of now. I will have to start stuffing the corners so they dont bend when i have it stored. Thanks
Yes! Hopefully that reduces the chances of cracking like mine!
I would make a small insert out of fiberfill and place it inside those areas to essentially stuff them. I don't think it will be noticeable if done correctly.
I have a limited edition Bumbag and Louis Vuitton won’t do anything about my Canvas cracking. They deemed it natural wear and I never wear the bag as it’s a collectors piece. Purchased in 2019, id definitely say if your bag was 4 years old from the time you posted this video- you got lucky. I was advised since my bag was purchased in 2019 they won’t offer me exchanges or anything .

Hi did you end up taking the credit and getting any of the new ones? Im looking at some of the current bumbags for my wife but now im not too sure lol
I had another bag that had issues and they told me they will give me what I paid for at the time so what the receipt said not what its worth at the time. I would take the credit if they are giving you more than you paid. I paid 1650 and it had gone up to over 2000.00 and only issued me what was on the receipt.
My bum bag is brand new and those little cracks by back zipper were always there on mine

I’d keep it. It’s sentimental and you got a great deal in HI. Your bag has many stories and memories and it’s something that is inevitable with the canvas. Also $1300 wouldn’t get you the “newer version” that’s supposedly coming out later. Keep it sis and just buy something later down the road! Tfs 💝

@@ladidodi8912 they said this back in April. It’s been shown as a puffy version, not as cute as the original. I have the empriente and canvas and so happy I have both bc they’re truly my most used bags in my collection.
She wouldn’t get 1300… she would get current value as she mentioned . Idk ,I think I would take the credit , you can get a new bag and find that old thing on fashionphile anytime .
After watching your video I checked my bumbag. Bag was < 4 yrs old, not in heavy rotation and I had cracking at the back zip corner and the areas at the waist fold were beginning to dull and on their way to cracking (I could see the crack fissure mapping out). I took it back to the boutique and the CA took pics to send to their repair team. Couldn’t fix. They said it was from “normal wear.” I disagreed advising that the bag wasn’t in heavy rotation and for < 4 yr old bag it’s a quality issue. Surprisingly I didn’t receive any pushback. The CA offered an exchange for the current value of the bag. I exchanged it for something NOT canvas.

I have a similar one but it was denim version.. there’s worn out corners pipings & one side of the strap has melted glazing. Now I sent it to renew the bag :(
I was thinking to resell but it has a special meaning hence no (because it has same date code as my birthday).

I’m sorry it cracked 😩 even though you love the bag.. I would still get the credit and get a new bag. You wouldn’t want to be stuck with a cracked bag that looks like it will continue to crack. Good luck 👍🏽

Can an oil like vitamin E, or avocado oil be added to those areas to prevent the canvas for cracking?
Perhaps! But you could also bring in your bag to LV to get the canvas conditioned. It’s a free service I believe

Get the credit. Then hold off until the new model gets released. I went to the boutique two days ago and put my name on the future wait list for the bumbag redesign--the manager of that store felt confident a new version would be released. She said it doesn't even normally take a full year for redesigns to be released. This bag was supposedly "discontinued" on 4/1/22 so a redesign will be coming soon enough. And if it doesn't, use your credit on something else and buy this bag in the pre-love market next year. I think the prices for this older model will go down in the pre-love market once the redesign is released, and everyone wants the new/improved version.

I have my graceful MM for less than 2 years and it’s cracking badly in the corners I got it in February 2020
I went to the store they said it’s not repairable and it’s wear and tear and nothing can do 😭😭😭😭😭😭 give me an advice what to do
I’m so sorry to hear that! If you’re able to, try a different Louis Vuitton. Sometimes they give different responses because it’s at the store’s discretion!

I have this bag so I totally get it! I love this bumbag! I would return it for credit and wait till they release the new bumbag. Although it’s not confirmed, I’ve heard Louis Vuitton will release an updated new version of the bumbag.
A new version?! 👀 I hope they would come out with one soon! Traveling won’t be the same without this bag 😂😅
But yeah, my concern is that if I take it back later, they’ll say something about the bag and I won’t get the options I was given this last time! Taking the credit is tempting!!
My exact thoughts. Get the credit and re purchase when LV releases the new one.
No matter the appearance or the metal parts of the *yutulu* bag, I believe that as long as you are not a professional, you will never see any difference .
Leather conditioner could prevent it x
I have real leather bags and they cost maybe 2 to 3 hundred and they look wonderful as the day I got them

I clean all my canvas bags with leather cleaner and leather conditioner so they don’t crack

Im using gorilla glue to stop the crack
Canvas is specifically made by them not to be used daily
I’ll take the credit if the cracks really bothers you specially the cracks could go worst than they’re right now. I know you love the bag but once the crack(s) get worst you won’t be able to get the credit.
