Because of this I don’t need to invest in the Pro 12.9 512gb. 256gb will be plenty & just try to get in habit of moving to hard drive. Of course, I’m the “what if” type and wonders what if the hard drive crashes? It’s a vicious cycle. Do you ever have this concern? Now I better order my new iPad before they’re gone. Stay safe & appreciate the hard work you put in to make the videos and sharing your vast knowledge.
Straight Out of the box what format is that hard drive? Is it already exFAT, straight out of the box? For transfers to happen smoothly and in order what is the maximum amount of data to transfer at one time?
Yes, it's ready to go once you set it up. Photos, lightning fast, but videos are longer as expected. I've backed up videos that are several minutes long HD 70mbs and it took 6 minutes. It also depends if you have it connected to a 5G router.

I finally got someone to chat with on WD and no help . the device is transmitting in 2 G and 5G i can lock to the signal , the cloud open i log in and just go to a white background. it is acting similar connected to a USB . thanks for you responding . wish me luck

Oh really. Can you bypass that? It’s safe. Your just using thst new devices WiFi.
Just reboot your modem and try again. It takes a few minutes to reboot my modem, so be patient.

You might be able to extend the photo clips from 2 to 3 seconds in settings
Also the WD might want the serial number.
Yes, in settings go to photo and make it 3 seconds
