8 years in with BTS. Grew up with 90's hiphop and R&B. Nowadays i listen to JCole, NF, Dax and Joyner. Part 1 was heavy, so is this one but i loved how he flipped this one 👌👌💜💜 And the Deebo line on the film Friday, was excetly what i always connected the film with 👍
About 6 months ago I got really into BTS and I was surprised by how much I was drawn to their songs with rap. Love the wordplay the beat, just the sounds of certain words next to each other (onomatopoeia?) One day I was just like shit I must like rap, did not know that about me, 34 years old and didn’t know that about myself. I’m really enjoying trying to find more of this enormous genera of music that I’ve been def to. Your videos have been a great resource for expanding my mind, thank you!

I’m a BTS ARMY new sub and I thank you for pointing me in the direction of hip hop with substance. I find that a lot of music these days lacks that & that is the reason why I became ARMY is bc of the depth of their lyrics & level of musicality in all their songs, that was a breath of fresh air on these overcrowded, label manipulated charts. Hip hop is a genre that I only have a cursory knowledge about, bc so much of the “rap” & “hip hop” that does make it into GP tends to lack in any substance bc a lot of the time it’s just backed by a massive label trying to bank on their latest puppet who they’ll likely discard after 2-3 albums. I can see from watching a few of your videos that you truly have an appreciation the technical side of their music too. The guys have worked with the likes of Ken Lewis & James Reynolds, just to name a few, since the beginning. Lewis once posted on IG about having 198 voice tracks in one of jhope’s songs and Raynolds once said “BTS mixes are also a huge technical challenge. I’m getting 250 stems on some of them, which is enormous compared to a normal mix, which is around 30-50 stems.” All in all, I really appreciate music that is brain food💜☺💜 Thanks again.
