The biggest thing that can fit in a whale's throat is a grapefruit so it is impossible to be swallowed by one. The reason it is so tiny is because all that whales eat are tiny plankton, krill and sometimes tiny fish
In this case, it's a sperm whale. They are the largest whales with teeth and have been known to eat giant squid.
