Jonah is human! Don’t get me wrong....that was still amazing! But...he struggled at some points. I only bring it up to acknowledge he is one of us! 🤣

I like very much this song, but my only problem is with the singer. He never sings like is recorded... i'm don't saying he is a bad singer... but he can not sing like he sing in the original ...
Sorry for my poor english :)

Have you considered that he may not want to sing like the original? Besides, why not be happy that you get something new when you go see a live performance? If you want the album version just listen to the album.

When it comes to the melody differences, I have to agree with the comment above - there would have been no point going to a concert, if everything would be played the same as on the album. But if you meant that he sings worse than on the album (which is de facto true), you have to take into consideration the fact that in the studio he can try as long as it's good enough, even for days or weeks but at the live show he has one chance to sing it and he has many other songs to sing during the concert so his throat is undoubtedly tired already.

I agree, Jonah's voice is incredible though, and I think that the subtle melodic changes are a bit of a trademark of the Jazz/Fusion style that they have. I love both the live and recorded version, although I love them both for different reasons. Also, any of the DL vocals must be a mega tough song to pull out the bag each night. Love these guys.

music95 are you kidding me? to hear those melodies you know and love in a live setting is incredible. Of course there is a point in going to a live show anyway. Even if you try to sing like in the studio, it will not sound the same. I like their performances of crash and burn delight, but i am dissapointed that we don't get to gear Jonah do the high sustained note in the end like in the studio :P

Ludvig Burman If you want to hear the exact same notes that are on the album, go to a Justin Bieber's concert - it'll be mostly playback, so you'll hear the same notes.
If you say about some very high notes or generally a bit worse singing, then I explained it in my last comment - he has a full concert to sing and their songs are technically very demanding. He's just a human and when they have a concert they probably have another concert the next day or in a few days, so he can't pull his vocal cords too much during a single concert.
