Its simple. If you have 800 do not have problem with extra bass because it dont have a mega bass. If you have xv900 you can have two parlants 800 and 900, the difference for switch the one to an another is quit extra bass from xv900 ( i have xv900 )
Nice comparison on a side note I happened to see those ION 650w PA sound speakers at Costco for 150$ and made me wonder how that would compare to my jbl 300. For the price it almost seems too good to be true. Do you think you could add one to a review? And how it stacks against the rest? Might pick one up as well I don’t see much videos with them
800 sounds more clear and open
Because not have the big bass most the extra bass. I have it, and remove extra bass and the speaker sound clear.
Xv800 sounds much better than xv900...more open
Sometimes, in some cases, it's true that bigger is better. With the xv900's huge subwoofer, it does a really good job with the bass.
I'd love to see the xv900 go against the PB310, maybe even the 710 to see how it compares to them.

what happened to sony engineers? these speakers sound bad. 800 is a little better, 900 is just a barrel with a big speaker.

xv800 has good treble if you want bass and you can put it on xv900 if you want bossbosted bass.
