Actually there is a way they can have both the ereditary "devil" gene of the Hachijo and Kazuya making a pact with a devil. Just make so that the Hachijo have hereditary medium powers and not the innate devil powers. These medium powers allow them to communicate and merge with demons and to some extent see the future (that's why Kazumi thought she had to kill Heihachi, she had visions of him bring harm to humanity). The Hachijo clan had developed ways to subdue the demons they merged with and were able to maintain full control even when transformed, that's how Kazumi saved Gouki's life, she took pity of him and asked her clan teach him how to control the dark Hado, wich would have consumed Gouki if it wasn't for the Hachijo clan's help, Kazumi however wasn't fully trained, and she trusted an incomplete vision about Heihachi, and wasn't even in full control of her devil form. This gave Heihachi the impression that her power was simply transforming into a demon. When Kazuya was dropped down that cliff he was approached by an extremley insidious devil that promised him vengence, the scheming part of Kazuya's character is actually the personality of that devil, Jin however was possessed by a different devil, one that is not as smart and cunning as the one that controls Kazuya, Jin's devil is pure rage, much more powerful than Kazuya's one, but lacks any rational thought. Lastly, the whole retriving the missing half of the devil gene from Jin in T4 was just Kazuya's devil tryng to absorb Jin's one to become more powerful. This is how i would handle the plot.
Still too convoluted. The original is much better. Devil is a fucking devil that possessed Kazuya, then he split into two after Kazuya died (in which case he should just stay dead imo, since Harada fanboyed Heihachi too much and ruined Kazuya) and later possesed Jin. Simple and effective with no bullshit plotholes
The interesting thing with Kazuya's character (which I think they nailed in Tekken 4 and 5) is how you're never certain when Kazuya's identity ends and his devil's begins. In Tekken 4 Heihachi's ending before subdued, Kazuya seems genuinely shocked and concerned when he sees Jin hanging in Honmaru. In Kazuya's ending, he overtakes devil and wants to get the devil power at the cost of Jin's life so you can't say that Kazuya is good, he's only bad when devil takes hold. In Tekken 5 you can see Kazuya reminiscing on his childhood days with the only person who loved him and stood by his side but at the last moments he either gets consumed by devil gene or the thoughts of what kind of power will he get from killing his grandfather. He was a complex character, but in T6 and onward they butchered his arch.

@@TheCynicalAutist I remember Harada saying something about wanting an actual Thai character to represent Muay Thai, which I get but you don’t really have to push Bruce out for it
My theory on Xiaoyu's ending: The time machine warped to a different timeline where Heihachi is simply testing Kazuya's courage without any intention of dropping him off the cliff.
I would kill to see Hwoarang's ending turned into a full fight with the same graphics. Tekken 5 just had such a great style. No other Tekken game has managed to capture the same feeling as that one. Bad. Ass.
People complain about Paul and, while I get it, Paul has been an idiot from day one in my opinion. I remember the Tekken 1 manual describing him as hot-headed. I didn't even know what that meant at the time (I was four). Also look at his Tekken 1 ending. Look at the childish picture that he's drawn of Kazuya. I agree that Paul has gotten worse over time (so has Law) but Paul has NEVER been a smart guy. A tough guy who made to the finals of the first three tournaments yes but not a smart guy. Plus the character has also been associated with comic relief and bad luck. The cartoon drawing of Kazuya in T1. In T2 he fails a somersault flip. In T3 he gets a speed ticket. In Tekken Tag his match gets interrupted.
In The tekken motion picture, heihachis motive was to bring about the devils destruction creating a better world in the process. So it's somewhat consistent. Xiaoyu time traveling is silly as her interference would have prevented jin from being born.
Devil jin always had my favorite ending for the soul fact that it seemed like another cool alternate ending. The transformation was super sick. It was the only game that genuinely made dvj look scary, like a power crazed monster, he was legitimately insane and blood thirsty and evil. I liked that dark side of jin because jin (at this time) was nothing like that yet. I still want a cool alt which resembles the powered up dvj. Hoping tekken 8 pays homage to some of the cool ideas left behind. Tekken 5 has most of my favorite endings to this day, but jin, xioyiu and lee probably have my favorite endings. I like feng wei asuka and ganryu a lot too tho
54:00 They just wanted to add some dimension to Kazuya and Heihachi's story that would make the audience feel for their motivations a bit more - but ended up retconning so bad they ignored all the smaller hints throughout all the classic games. In my opinion the Tekken 7 retcon was just a complete fail
The best thing about some of them characters even tho like Lei Wulong and Marshall/Forest Law they are like based on Bruce Lee and Jacky Chan they sort of make them a different personality from them. Lei is a police officer in Hong Kong and He can be very clumsy and Marshall Law who wants is own business as a restaurant or Martial arts studio and even Forest well Forest has a Smiling personality a joyful one because he can do a lot of kiddy stuff but also he likes to be kinda like his dad
5:03 More realistically Parried, d3+4, b3 into hold forward 1, 4, dash or wave dash into b3f 1,3. Then she gets b1+4 taunted because she did something stupid and got punished.
I always thought Kazuya got the Devil gene the moment he made the pact with the devil. The moment he became the head of Mishima Zaibatsu, the devil manifested his will upon Kazuya, however later on, through shear force of will Kazuya took over took over and made the devil basically his bitch.
You know, regarding Kuma and Panda’s endings: I get the red button, but why is there a blue “Trapdoor the CEO” button right on your desk that anyone can reach?
Tekken 8 would benefit from using Tekken 4's model with prologues, epilogues and ending movies. -It sets the character's story from the start instead of leaving us curious for too long -We understand why each of their "important" fights matter -Epilogue + ending provides more character-driven storytelling rather than the short episodes in T7 I'm also really hoping for a better story. Tekken 7 really flopped bringing in Kazumi and then Akuma as part of the story.
I still don't understand how casuals supposedly don't like story endings. When I was a kid I would grind my way through story mode with every character just to see the endings.
But now the story has been turned to complete trash ever since Tekken 5 because they ruined most of the cast.

41:20 Oh the disappointment.... "So it's Anna's clothes now that get off?" Well techincally yes.
Come on that little kid in Bruce Irvins story could be the new and improved Bruce.
46:37 That guitar track though... *_DOCTOR AMIGO SOOOOOYYY_*
My theory on Xiaoyu's ending: The time machine warped to a different timeline where Heihachi is simply testing Kazuya's courage without any intention of dropping him off the cliff.
49 Year Old Kazuya: (Sees Xiaoyu) ......WAIT A FUCKING MINUTE!
I would kill to see Hwoarang's ending turned into a full fight with the same graphics. Tekken 5 just had such a great style. No other Tekken game has managed to capture the same feeling as that one. Bad. Ass.
Your reaction and classic pause to nina's ending had me weakk 😭😭
He was still badass but now he's a COMPLETE JOKE
@@ldking5132 Exactly, and that's called flanderisation.
In The tekken motion picture, heihachis motive was to bring about the devils destruction creating a better world in the process. So it's somewhat consistent. Xiaoyu time traveling is silly as her interference would have prevented jin from being born.
Waiting for review of Tekken 6 endings!
Tekken 3 and tag gave me goosebumps just waiting to hit the arcades up after school
Lei is a police officer in Hong Kong and He can be very clumsy and Marshall Law who wants is own business as a restaurant or Martial arts studio and even Forest well Forest has a Smiling personality a joyful one because he can do a lot of kiddy stuff but also he likes to be kinda like his dad
lEROY NERF MAKES HIM A CAPO CONFIRMED
Are we just not gonna mention this beautiful sound clip? 0:21
55:05 don't worry he said "ningga"
"I guess that's cute, there was a plant"
Roger was angry because him and his mom thought he died... they were frightened when he apparently took off some day
46:37 Dr. -Amigo- Boskonovitch
51:10 This is the first video i have ever seen of you and this comment made me an instant fan.
My all time Favorite Tekken Ending is Tigers from Tekken 3.
30:40 i bet he chomped into the wall with his teeth to stop falling down
Armor King plot thankfully went somewhere in T6.
I can forgive his T5 ending as he was not originally in T5
I'm expecting a Tekken 6 ending review as well, this stuff is amazing
Quinten Turner Tekken 6 endings were trash tho
@@Crimsongz still makes for a good reaction
1:32
I can't unsee this.
Nina here looks like the female version of Bill Gilbert from King's Bounty.
Fuck my eyes
Julia's ending always makes me Cry and just let out the pain...I dont know why, but it helps alot
Jinpashi Rest in peace:(
28:50, that's the Kinniku Docking from Kinnikuman series. Nice homage.
This is hoooming
just now i realized the earth exploded on pauls ending
4:38 brought us here... And the bounce sound... And those magumbos 😍
Devil jins endi- I mean Hwoarangs ending was LIT!🔥
If we tried to apply logic to every ending, kazuya would have the worst endings
5:03 More realistically
Parried, d3+4, b3 into hold forward 1, 4, dash or wave dash into b3f 1,3.
Lmfao Bruce just stood there and watched a child get beaten up for him to have a chance to look cool
7:03 too much Leroy experience 😂🤣
Anna: Causes fanservice and wins
Nina: wins, but causes no fanservice.
I think we all know who really won here....
How is it that Jinpachi and Wang understand each other when Wang speaks in Chinese and Jinpachi in Japansese, wtf no consistency.
You find that weird? How about King and Armour King just casually growling, and everyone magically understands what they say.
@@SuperHellKnight666 LMFAO i can't breathe HEEELP
Captain Hell Knight How do they even do that? They're both human.
How do nina, heihachi, his tekken force and claudio talk to each other in tekken 7?
BUILT IN TRANSLATOR
The funniest endings for me were always Kuma, Lee and Law's. They just made crack up so much when I saw them.
1:48 what kind of sword technique was that to cut all every single piece of cloth in one swing LMAO
i lost it when TMM went "silicone de tetas" on Christie's TK5 ending. lmao
imo Tekken 5 had the most variety of endings with both funny gags and serious ones that move the story along
You know, regarding Kuma and Panda’s endings:
I get the red button, but why is there a blue “Trapdoor the CEO” button right on your desk that anyone can reach?
In case someone tries to take that seat other than Kuma or Panda?
Someone not express by Anna slashing Nina a million of time's that super fast as hell if you ask me
Tekken 8 would benefit from using Tekken 4's model with prologues, epilogues and ending movies.
-It sets the character's story from the start instead of leaving us curious for too long
-We understand why each of their "important" fights matter
-Epilogue + ending provides more character-driven storytelling rather than the short episodes in T7
I'm also really hoping for a better story. Tekken 7 really flopped bringing in Kazumi and then Akuma as part of the story.
Ganryu and Law's Ending are so funny XD!!
Man so many memories, gotta say the T5 look amazing for a PS2 game.
