King runs an orphanage, Kiryu ran an orphanage... has anyone ever seen King and Kiryu in the same place at the same time?
Don't forget Kiryu has a fighting style called Beast!
If someone asked Kiryu to become a masked wrestler, he'd be like "why do these things keep happening to me", but then he'd take it more seriously than anyone has ever taken anything. The quest giver would not at any point ask or expect Kiryu to speak in only animal noises and he'd do it anyway because his character has the head of a jaguar. Yeah it's definitely Kiryu.
Look…. I’d be perfectly happy with a Legally Distinct Kiryu at this point. As long as he’s got the vibe, a yakuza-style back tattoo, and the tiger drop, I’d be down.

Marshall Law's arcade playthrough is fucking incredible because his line-up is just a bunch of characters are the ones which trigger his "I HATE RICH PEOPLE" voice line entrance
Yoshimitsu's ending is the cursed sword taking over his body. It's actually really dark, Yoshimitsu the man is now just a puppet for Yoshimitsu the demon blade. I actually hope they stick with this plotline.

If I had a nickle each time my mains became a possessed shell of their former selves after being a silly teleporting weirdo I'd have 2 nickles. It's no a lot but I really hate that it happened twice

this is just Tekken's way of saying "we can actually make a better Soul Calibur". but seriously i love the subtle references of Nightmare in his ending. The blue armor, the red scarf wooshing around looking like Nightmare's hair, the turn towards the camera with the evil eye glowing, that's just Nightmare but in Yoshimitsu's costume. AND they're both left handed
Is kind of funny how dirty Asuka gets treated, her entire intro and ending is revolved around Lili while Lili ending has nothing to do with Asuka and even appears in others endings that have nothing to do with her like in Azucena
TBH I gave up on Asuka the _moment_ Jun was revealed.

The problem is that any plot relevance with Asuka was trampled in her introduction to the series.
Her story was supposed to be her getting revenge on Feng for trashing her dojo, but her ending is her cousin falling onto her boobs like a cheesy harem anime scene.
Add onto her getting eclipsed in popularity to her rival, yeah she had no chance other than being a prop for Lili.

Idk I get the impression that’s the entire point; like shes related to our main character in this story of constant familial feuding and she just does her own thing with her fighting and her rival.
The best thing about Kazuya ending is that it canon can in his bio in T1 it listed his likes and sneakers are there
IIRC Heihachi's death was never made public, so the only ones that should know the truth are Jin, Kazuya, Lars, Lee, and somehow Reina.

I think Bryan Fury Road is my favorite ending. Law just goofing for the camera kills me.
Love that the subtitles are just completely different some of the time. All Azucena says is “I knew it would be good” when the alpaca drinks the tea latte.

Lars' story is basically Ex Machina mixed with a whole bunch of anime.

Lars is literally an anime protagonist who's powers cant scale up to the rest of his family, and he has to deal with it. At least he has a cute russian android girlfriend that, for some reason, speaks japanese to keep him company.

Well Law's been a jobber since 4 when "I'm in debt" became his whole story.
Always have been 😂 asuka literally never found feng who beat up her dad and got into relationship with rich ojousama girl who loves tormenting her, and law literally never did anything besides do a back flip in Tekken 2, attempt to do a backflip and fail in Tekken 3, in Tekken 4 get fired from his chain and 5 become broke 😂
More on Law anyways, Asuka at least still gets to run her dojo and is now more close as friends/rival to Lili. Law on the other hand will never get dub lol.

In the main story mode asuka turn into a “Sebastian”. She had a cutscene with jin but they didn’t even talked about the kazama family.
Alisa's reminds me of Sebastian's ending in Tag 2 where everyone is surprised by his win and it's soft implied he beat Lili last to win who's super salty (good name for her cat). It ends on a nicer note where she congratulates him though. I hope Matt does a theater on Tag 2 endings. They're high in variety and super short and sweet and artistic. Most are goofy but some are surprisingly super emotional... Combot...
I love how Reina's ending has all Mishimas EXCEPT Victor's there because Reina likes dilfs apparently
Is it me, or that Byran ending is the most wholesome ending for him. And i think the reason it keep saying that Hehachi is gone or disappeared is that the world doesn't know that he is dead maybe?
Exactly THAT, like the only person who knows of Heihachi's ultimate fate is Kazuya and most people aren't in the position to just ask him 'Did you kill Heihachi Mishima?' or something like that. Kuma doesn't know his precious master is not just dead but his EARTHLY REMAINS had 'disappeared' into a Volcano!
Let's be honest, the other reason is that if they need to retcon it in the future they are making it easier for themselves to do so.

Now it should be noted that most of these arcade endings can’t really be considered canon, but there’s a fair few that fit nicely into the story mode’s lore

(Also fun fact; the reason why she basically just serves bowls of beans and corn is because she’s canonically a terrible cook, so this is the only thing she’d be good at making. Harada says that it’s because she gets distracted by fixating on the ecological impact of what she makes so much that she ends up burning everything)

The Kazuya and Jin endings were beautiful 😭 I’m not a fighting game person but I’ve always loved Tekken for its awesome endings and fantastic music, so seeing these stories continued warms my heart haha

I am so happy about xiaoyus prominence in these endings. She has grown into proper young woman like sakura from SF compsred to their younger portrayals in earlier games. I also want to give shout-out to kazuya, jin and juns endings where there are some legit wholesome parts there. Even panda has funny ending 😂
7:26 He does; Bryan's dying at the beginning of his Tekken 4 story due to the inferior tech by Dr. Abel.
But in his Tekken 4 ending he gets put to sleep and subsequently fixed by Dr. Bosconovitch.
That also gets mentioned in his Tekken 5 story, so it's canon.
I still remember my friends and I being so intrigued by it and we wondered how he would end up looking in Tekken 5 then. Turned out, not different at all, but yeah.

P.S. I think the reason for the unsureness in the endings about Heihachi is the fact that nobody knew Kazuya and Heihachi fought and that he got beaten.

This is why I love Tekken so much the arcade endings can either be super serious or goofy as all hell.

About Leos ending: Being a German, I can say that the translations in Leos ending are rather scuffed.
Makes me wonder whether the translations of the other languages are any good at all.
Some sentences have been exchanged for entirely other sentences.
Like 36:50 how they replaced "Was hast du getan" ("What did you do" / "What have you done") with "What is it?".
And after that his dad says "I only touched it briefly", as opposed to him saying that nothing's wrong.
They seemingly do it to every language including Japanese.
Speaking a little spanish, a bunch of Azucena’s stuff seems kinda weird. Like translating “Tienes Cafe?” In her super as “How do you take your coffee?” Rather than something like “Got Coffee?” Which would probably be more in line with what she’s saying.
Like it’s not so far away that it’s not the spirit of what they’re saying, but it’s making some weird logical leaps.

Tbf, Kazuya was the only witness to Heihachi’s death, with Akuma as a possible exception, so as far as anyone knows, he just dropped off the face of the Earth

I'm surprise you didn't get the reference with Lee's ending Matt, it's suppose to be parody of him being Tony Stark aka Iron Man with Hachi as his butler Jarvis. Hell this whole games story mode is basically Avengers with the fighters coming together for all out war battle.

I haven't heard such authentic laughter from you in so long. Bryan's ending was peak and Law's just feels like the ultimate punchline!
I've seen almost nothing of Tekken 8 outside of this, so I wasn't aware that all the characters just spoke in their native tongue with subtitles. I can't remember any other examples of this, and I actually really like it. (I imagine it also saves a ton of money on VA work for international releases.)
KAZUYA DRIP MISHIMA, ok so I didn't think that one was real-real, I thought that shot of him with the shoes I've been seeing on Twitter was for an ad for the game, I didn't think it was his ACTUAL ENDING, that's amazing.
Fighting game theater is my go to Playlist for something to relax to and help me sleep so happy to have another addition to watch for real now and add to later.
My favorite endings are split between Lars and Kuma. 😂
They keep trying to make Nina Williams a cool cold girlboss but she always just ends up looking like a lame tryhard.
They should just accept she's got nothing but X-Pac Heat and run with it. Give her the same embarassing endings that good characters like Law get saddled with.

She's hyped up as this badass assassin but all her kills are offscreen and she fails any onscreen hits she gets. Death By Degrees could have been a Hitman type game to make her a proper assassin but they made her a spy in it for some reason.
King was my first main on Tekken 3 and since 4 Steve also became my main, I find absolutely INSANE their pairings in this game, Matt was very mild with King's ending but I absolutely LOVED IT! Loving this game

Some minor bits are lost just watching the opening and ending, like how everyone Law fights in the mode is someone to which he says his "I hate rich people!" line. Paul has a bunch of lines about running late and needing to hurry since all his matches are pre-tournament.
Yeah, those are really minor bits, since those are personality quirks that have been around since Tekken 5.
So the reason they say heihachi is missing I think is cause the only people that know he died were the ones watching the battle
i think Hwoarang’s ending and paul’s is just a great one two punch. you even see the convoy that paul and law almost crash into in Hwoarang’s ending and i love it!

22:01 Jun’s ending has got to be one of the saddest endings in Tekken and since she wanted to have her son and lover together as a family and yet when she makes up from her dream she realizes that’s all at once. 23:46 Kazuya’s has got to be the one of the funniest ones I’ve ever saw since he comes from this tough guy evil attitude and his main dream is they have the biggest shoe collection in the world. 31:47, 45:16 Both Law and Paul or even worse since both men are like down on their luck kind of guys I mean they’re like The Cheech and Chong of Tekken where one is in serious debt, which he ends up committing Karakiri on himself *cough* Marshall Law *cough*, the other one can’t even make it in time to the tournament fight *cough* Paul *cough*. 49:07 Reina Mishima is definitely the Yandere sister of Kazuya and seriously daddy‘s girl is keeping both her brothers (Lars and Lee) and nephew (Jin) along with her lovable bear (Kuma) in line as she seeks world domination. 54:01 But the best one has got to be Steve Fox since he goes from good looking boxer champion, 56:03 to training with Arnold Schwarzenegger in becoming the new Mr. Olympia and give him the whole new phrase “true heavyweight champion” to his good friends Paul and Marshall.

If it can be believed, somehow Jun was originally set to be in Tekken 3, which would have changed the story considerably.
So internally, they kind of retconned a retcon. But taking Jun and Kazuya out for Jin makes too much sense for a new generation game.
Heihachi fell into a time Warp and will now show up as a guest in SC7 (which would fit because SC6 was a reboot/remake of SC1 so SC7 would be SC2).

It's weird how Yoshimitsu, the goofy shakespearian ninja/samurai and probably the silliest character in the Tekken roster, has the most serious ending.

I like thinking the Kazuya ending was canon to the main Story. Like, he just went back to work the next day after losing to Jin.
What's funny is that my two mains in this game have the luxury of providing both (in my opinion) the best (Reina) and worst (Asuka) endings.
