Blake Baggett Jumps into the Freestone Texas 12 ft Stewart - vurbmoto

- Blake Baggett and James Stewart discuss Baggett's incredibly faithful leap into the "Texas Twelve" at the second round of the 2012 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships at Freestone Raceway. He was one of the only racers to not only jump into the sand rollers that day, but THE ONLY one to do it consistently throughout the first moto of the 250 class. More or less, Blake Baggett is an animal!

I love how humble Bubba was and paid respect to Blake, even the most fearless draw the line sometimes.
James would have done it 10 years ago but with age comes wisdom 😂😂 he said fuck that
Here in 2020. RUclips recommends it every few months and I keep watching it.
Watch it again
@kralston2171 thanks for the reminder
It's crazy most people don't know that an 85 rider did this years ago. The late Jesse Masterpool. On an 85. Baggetts on a 250. And it's still a big deal. My family got to see it when we went to freestone. I didn't really know how incredible what I was looking at was until years later.
Stewart: “He jumped that double and I turned the TV off.” 😂😂😂 Coming from the guy who’d try stuff on a 125 that most guys wouldn’t even think of attempting on a 250 or 450.
right? everyone wants stew to comeback if they do that 125 series again that villopoto rides Stewart should definitely hop in.
@@seaeff6428 Yeah and also the interviewer sounds like someone's mom "What possessed you to do that?"LOL!
Fan for life! Baggett came out and talked with the fans while everyone else hid during the Utah national.
You know he is doing something special when JS7 won't jump it
I will never forget this race! Baggett was SENDING IT!!!!
I still watch the old 250 races with Wilson baggett barcia and Tomac- classics
One time my foot came off the peg and I accidentally seatbounced a single about that size and instantly went right to the top floor. I had a long time to contemplate life while I was up there. I said goodbye to my family, made my peace with god. Tried to get the bike levelled out as much as possible and hung on. Luckily the suspension these days is crazy good because it was a pretty hard flat landing, but I rode it out. Can't imagine doing that every lap lol.
RiderTV I did the same thing except I put in new break pads the day before and forgot how shitty new break pads are for the first little while.. came into a wall jump pretty hot to to my dismay, no breaks. Pretty much felt the same way as you, I went to the moon.
Made my peace with God lmao so true
The track worker at 0:49 is like wtf lol
Sgt.Speed it started loading for me at 0:49
😂😂😂 that dude was like “...shiiiiiiit...” 😂😂😂
He was ready to start waving it😂
His look was priceless he was thinkin look at this crazy M-FER
looking back the thing i loved the most about this moment was the hunt and desire to try something new. I know i sound corny but this is the attitude from riders that is what takes original mx to the more modern mx and makes it mind blowing. Imagine whats going to be happening in 20 years if the heart and desire of young riders is still there.
One of our 4 fathers of full sending right here 🤘🏻😎🔥🔥
It's been 8 years and it still is ridiculous lol.
That was crazy seeing him jump that in the first moto, wasnt expecting him to do that at all
We were there at the race, right there in the small grandstand by that wall jump. Blake was a madman hitting that thing like that.
To this day I still can't believe how hard Blake hits the ground after that jump, he bounces 2' backup " big balls Blake "
Can't wait to see that Blake Baggett again like the Flash we had 2 or 3 seasons ago in Motorcross Dude was on rails until ELHombre took him out Blake still owes him for that
Everyone has their moment and i believe he wasn't the only doing as i recall standing next to the jump my self. James was doing a similar jump over a step up in Daytona if anyone can remember it was wild.
black bagget is one of the coolest riders, he hasn't had a very good 450 career the past few years like he did in the 250's but lately hes been bringing it back. I think he could be the 2017 outdoors champ.
i saw this race in person. That shit was sick!!! So bummed they dont have a this national anymore
Arguably one of the most savage motocross videos!
There are two things I watch every time they show up in my feed, this and the Chadapult.
one of my favorite vurbmoto videos
it's weird, because we usually capture 5mins of footage of every single one of the 80 riders in both classes, and then get interviews with all of them as well, then we get James Stewart to speak about each of the 79 other riders.... but for some reason we didn't this time at Freestone
but Tevin Tapia is also a badass (that's the kid's name btw)
I miss this baggett!! It seems like yesterday i was left speechless on the couch witnessing this.
This is why I pull for Blake today. It was that season and, just send it brass balls style. He always has had the speed, remember him railing in the outdoors and passing all, until he hurt his wrist or thumb and couldn't hang on in the 450 class couple yrs ago. Such a good and cool dude! 3rd last weekend in San Diego, Tampa This weekend! Go BB!!!!
Ive got that recorded on my camcorder somewhere, but yeah I got him doing that several laps. The sand wall eventually wore a deep groove in it and Chad Reed on Kawasaki was the only one to hit a whoop before it and actually jump threw that groove gaining seconds doing that, Awesome Freestone race days! Miss it
I was standing right by it when he launched into the stratosphere!!
Landing that jump is a broken wrist waiting to happen.
for us it would he there lucky and have factory suspension😂
Better have your kidney belt on
Esoterjc WTF ARE YOUR VIDEOS!
esoterjc- from experience on other jumps similar the ankles take the hit most.
@@jro341 definitely the ankles, you land too much on your toes on the pegs and it feels like your ankles are exploding 😂😂.
Baggett is Back on Point!
I just met him yesterday at Hangtown 2014
that suspension takes that landing like forks weren't even trying
Surprised there's not a jump named after him. Dude always sends it.
My back hurts just watching this lol
Baggett is a total Hero, having a good season so far 2018
The shot @ 1:05 is killer
He makes it look so easy
Blake was sending it long before Larry Enticer
mopar 1 = I was on the roof of my house Untill I fell off & hit the ground.... it was at THAT POINT = I KNEW - I Wasn't on the roof any more .
SEND IT !!!!
#dontfallofftheroofdumass
idk why, but this video is really nostalgic lol
yeah i know i remember this season well it was when stewart left yamaha and went to suzuki and went 4-0 to start the season his battle with dungey this day was amazing, sucks he crashed out at thunder valley
your sarcasm is so advanced it confusing people
Chupacabra!!!
I filmed this dude practicing at Milestone with my drone last week!
I remember watching this race live and seeing him hit this. I've been a huge Bagget fan ever since. He kept hitting it too
Here in RUclips there are this video ¨RAW Freestone 2012 wall jump¨ you can see there where the top pros in the 250f class while in qualifying jump this wall jump into the rolling whoops, is not only Baggett who jumps that
You can see the guy who is holding the flags drop his arms when he hit it,in amazement! lol
I could hit these jumps on my 1930's tricycle
Ethan Garden anyone could. It’s the landing that’s the hard part.
Really, didn't see you at the race.
I can hit these jumps too, then I woke up.
Neil Dohi it’s a joke...
Dude had to been 30-40 foot in the air! Jeezus!
I was in Phoenix when I saw this kid win his first race.
Baggett is my dads boss he's a really a nice person and cares for his employees!!
He just "sent it" LOL. Love it!
I’ve seen Bagget pull off some crazy ass shit this year!
That was soooo sick
sick jump!
No I just really enjoy starting something I can finish, i guess you could say its a passion.
and because of this he is godly
I was at this race!!!!! He was really high up there
Anyone old enough to remember the "O Show" launching the finish line jump on the last lap at Daytona in about 86 or so?
Back when PC was THE team to be on in the lites class.
there was a kid in about 25th in the 250 class that was also doing it every lap...wheres his video
Soooo sick
Dang Bro 🏆
Love it
You're right. I saw him too.
Yeah I was watchin the live stream and on the kawasaki cam I saw this kid on a honda flying over it every single lap. I was like dang that kid has balls
the first person to do that was tevin tapia, then josh grant, then Baggett. I was there.
But baggett was on a 250
Haha, dude, that's a sick jump.
@Nickthepunk22 Yea one guy on a ktm did but he was in the back of the pack so they didnt show it on tv. I saw it
ayyy i remember you man!
that was i huge jump and that was funny when james stewart was asked why didnt he try it
I like him.
read the description
Amazing.
the two other KTM riders from Munn racing were doing it in practice but not in the race, I was right there the whole day and only baggett did it in the race, and passed a couple people by doing it. Maybe if that other rider would have placed better somebody would put a video of him up here as well. I'm just sayin!! I'm not a baggett fan or anything but he was the only one who had the balls to do it in the race, hell grant was doing it in practice on the 450 but not in the race
natedot What's the big deal with this jump?
Bring back Freestone
Gettin it
hey Vurb isnt it called the Freestone 12 pack?
He's not "keeping the power on". He's in the air.
who said it was??
First it's "he takes too many chances" but today it's "Why didn't he send it like Blake?"
well if baggett is keeping the power on instead of slowing up, it gives him the advantage
that's nuts
"I'm still gonna send it..."
Now we have Lil Deegs doing those jumps keeping the fans entertained
I was kinda disapointed not to see Bubba hit it tbh!
soo cool
Putain c est dingue et la prescision a l atterissage un truc de fou .
"I dunno, I just sent it" LOL
I used to race with you on mx alive :)
That game is so fun! I hop on it every now and then.
do you ride motocross?
yeah I guess he didn't make up too much time but if u were watching this live it was so sikk cuz he was jus goin for it. go blake
Crazy
it makes it really enjoyable when they arnt even a has been, its always the never was ones.
IF you pause it at 1:05 , looks fucking SICK!!!
I think I now have an idea of what "Going Big" means.
Baggett kinda favors Mike Metzger.
+PainterFRO He looks a lot like him wow
Munn racing so Tapia and Vincent..
I Would loved to see that on helmet cam
You still haven't finished your little virtual slap fight.
Imagine doing that on stock suspension.
Track worker like what the hell lol
hard landing?
