Hey Mark, this is gonna be long I see you have a Joya pedal. Then you must know they too make a battery pack. I bought one ($65. you get what you pay for), two months later of minimum use, it died. They NEVER called me back. Now I am using a Mission Engineering 529i. lasts for EVER! The only thing lacking is a USB-C port :( One must be careful of cheap quality).
I busk in the streets and play in the Forests around campfires, supporting Old Growth tree defenders, on street corners where I can share my Vintage Country, Rockabilly and mostly originals. I us a minimal amount of effects: a tuner, RC1 looper with FS-7 and the Mission battery all going through a Roland Street Cube EX. LOVE that amp! Together I can play my acoustic/electric, originals 8-Hours, well, not just me but with friends.
On another note, I'm guessing that you have numerous cats to play with. Where I live they are either into it for the money, ego or stuck in Jukebox cover bands, (my new name for them).
So, on another & another note, I also see you have a RC1 looper. I too have one and cannot seem to always be on the correct timing. Actually I don't use it that much, my bad. Now I have been experimenting with Loopy Pro, iRIg BlueBoard wireless pedal to RULE all the effect pedals in the World. (By the way, I don't promote crap made in china or these cheap junk companies).
Your tutorials are awesome ! Mostly I find the tutorials on YT to be either going too fast, can't see the cursor or their fingers, the screen is too small and hard to understand their lack of clear english, sorry, not sorry.
Any ideas for a "One Man Band" without looking to be silly looking or spending tons of money? I get along with what I have. Miss playing with people who want to collaborate and sing harmonies.
Thanks man, keep up the good work, IndigoHillbilly.com

Hi and thanks for the note! Here are a few thoughts.
      1. I don't know about the durability of this power supply. We'll see after I use it for a while. That'll be a long while, because I almost never use pedals.
      2. I don't own an RC1. Sorry.
      3. I always to the "one man band" thing by playing acoustic and singing. I don't use loopers or anything like that. If I play a solo or a lead break I just try to make the chord changes apparent, add a drone, or solo using chords. Sorry I don't have other suggestions. I'm pretty much old school with all of that.
I miss playing with my bluegrass and folk buddies. That's when I did the most with harmonies. Definitely miss that.
      Rock on!

I'm glad I saw this. I have a Synth9, and because they come with their own "unique" pwr supply, I was hesitant to plug it into my pedalboard pwr supply. Btw, according to EHX, they don't "track" too well when the pedal "sees" an overdriven sound, so it's best to place them 1st in your chain, and place drives or fuzz after... that is if you need to add drive. I've found the Synth9 sounds best when used on its own.

Awesome! Yeah, I rarely use anything but an overdrive and a delay (and amp reverb), so I rarely use the B9. I think it has a "John Lord" setting, so I would use that if I wanted overdriven organ sound.
I got the pedal in a trade, so I didn't get instructions. Appreciate the info!!

This is cool! I wonder how long it would power about 4 pedals? 3 hours or more would be terrific!

If you have an amp, you'd usually have power, yeah? I don't trust 9v batts cos they run out - all batts can run out at a bad time. :(

    • @MarkZabel
      @MarkZabel  5 месяцев назад

True, but you need another receptacle, an extension cord, gaffer's tape so it's not a
hazard, maybe multiple extension cords for different stages. I manage, but I don't like it.
For me, the battery indicator is super helpful and totally works. But I generally like to play with minimal pedal use anyway. It wouldn't be a disaster for me if the battery ran out. If you use a ton of pedals for your sound, I could understand being overly cautious.
