ALSO, for those who ask, im pretty sure we gave up after the tank realised he couldnt swap specs, contrary to what was wrote. Also, we weren't all melee DPS. we were both mages.
Can you please elaborate on why you should look for a guild before the start an expansion? Possibly you could make a vid about all these little nuances that most of us don't know?

Xalted so, you're already behind if you're looking for a guild in the first couple weeks of an xpac. And usually most good guilds are filled right before the xpac because they don't want to be behind
It's like being 'on time' in the military. If you're on time, you're late. If you're early, you're on time. To answer your question though (despite not knowing what off-season roster changes are) the first weeks of a new expansion can set the tone for the following 7 or 8 months of raiding/socialization/whateverthehell, so most guilds want to start off strong if they can. They want to level to cap and run dungeons to get some loot on their skinny blood-elf asses so that when Wing 1 of Raid 1 opens, they can be in that door ASAP and not be able to actually do it because something is invariably bugged.
