Nice guide! That 556 example was very good. I feel places like customs and Interchange is where high level armor shines in mid-close combats. Otherwise everyone seemed to love sniping this wipe :P
Personally it's largely a matter of access, cost & coverage. Until I reach Prapor LL3 I'm running 6B5-15 & 6B3TM-01M armored rigs as they are level 4 with stomach coverage and are available on the flea market at a good price. With Prapor LL3 I start using the Korund-VM until I get Ragman LL3 so I can get the Bagariy. While the 6B43 6A Zabralo is level 6 with both stomach and arm protection, it seems to invite leg meta.
I know in the future we're going to get interchangeable plates. But a nice stop gap between now and then would be given every armour 2 values, 1 front 1 rear that work independently of each other. I think that was bring back some of the enjoyment people have early wipe with a longer TtK.
if i made a flow chart of the most common place i was killled, 90% of the time it was my eyes. The largest part of my entire body apparently. i dont even know why i bother with any armor at all? maybe in case a scav wings me, because every pmc i encounter will shoot directly above my class 5 and hit me in the eyes, through face shields with no problem.
It will seem that way because most people aim for the head. In my experience armor usually does more once the back and forth firefight begins because aiming is usually a bit more general and less precise. Try giving the other guy less chances to line up that headshot. Make your movements less predictable and don't stay still in areas where there are know angles that could be held and you should see this less.
@eric write well sometimes they just have a better gaming chair but if you let yourself get into the mindset that it's always that case you'll never enjoy the game
If shoreline or woods I only wear lvl 4 armour. You will just get 1 tapped out of no where. If Labs or Interchange lvl 5 or 6. Reserve.... we don't go there... Streets... We don't go there... Factory? who cares you will probably lose money either way.
Good work! Nicely explained. It's nothing I didn't know, but this is foundational stuff that people need to know. It's well delivered.
Thanks man I appreciate the feedback 🤙

Thanks man, yeah I agree. Once you move to more long range focused maps armor seems to matter less and less due to the types of weapons commonly used.
Love your videos man. Thanks
Hell yeah, glad to help out 🤟

Yeah there are many different ways to go about it, I was more trying to educate people so they realize why some work/feel different than others

That could be interesting
the interchangeable plates were scrapped.
@@broofallbros3036 they just showed screenshots of the plates and hinted at the ability to change them less than a month ago

Good Stuff Dude!
Always happy to help 🤘
Does the thorax count as your back?
As of now yes they are treated the same

the barter for the press armor costs roughly 20k, i am a pessimist and just run that every time
@@AM-kl8gj press vest is a great level 3
@@JibbyB Its ok, i understand that the average tarkov shooter can shoot a perfect head shot while in a full sprint inside a jet black rainy night.
