10lbs in 5 months is so awesome. And I know it's safer to have slower weight loss for cats rather than big fast ones. His circumstance was an emergency so he did lose that 10lbs in like 3 months but this gives his time a bit of adjustment time to the drastic change. I think another marker of his success and in particular the last 2 months would be he probably is way more active and alert. That's another "weigh in" with current clear changes happening right now.
