Eric I truly admire you as a very capable journalist hope you have a good break and you are in my opinion a great Armenian and I hope Californians will be generous for your fundraising for civil net it’s a good cause good luck. I wish people like you were running our country bless you Eric love and support from Australia. One thing I want to raise is that our current generation our youth here in the diaspora at least seem to be very uninterested in the Motherland and Artsakh we have to find a way of stimulating their interest love and knowledge of our beautiful country and culture because at the end of the day they are our hope for our future so we have to stress unity not division.

What they should discuss are the rights and secure return of Armenians to Baku Gandzak etc. Forcing Artsakh into a hostile power based on false pretext of old Soviet territorial division is unacceptable and medieval. Modern states should be identified by common cultural practices and history. In a way that's the case in Europe.
The whole discussion is ridiculous and lacks substance
Armenians and sheep herders (kara qoyunlu) must live in separate states. Armenians are not dealing with European (Christian heritage) nations.
Nomadic mentality and Islamic heritage people are not going to be civilized, never.
I am from Iraq , my first language is Arabic, I know muslims very well.
Just look at the difference between the acts of muslim refugees and non muslim refugees in Western host countries, they are the only group that never comes to compromise ....
The protest should be all over the world by the Armenians. We have been protesting all around the world every year on April 24 to remind the world that there has been a genocide in 1915 but we are not protesting for the silent genocide that has been taking place currently in Artshakh and 150 thousand of Armenians are being blocked from basic human rights.

The obvious question here is why Armenia participates in these meetings? If the mediator is obviously repeating the narratives of the aggressor, then why? The other question is why the mediator repeats the narrative of the aggressor? Two reasons: either they have ulterior motives or they don’t understand the profound circumstances of the situation. In both cases why we need this mediator?
I agree too many meetings with the enemies with no results whatsoever we know that the EU USA and Russia are not on our side so why participate in all these useless meetings we need another approach unfortunately as a civilian I have no idea what but our leaders should really be doing something more

We are blaming the outsiders that they are not helping us but what exactly Armenia wants? Artzakh independent? Part of Armenia? How US can help Artzakh if people in Artzakh are waiving Russian flags? How US will help the ally of their enemy? Even now they are asking for international mandate for Russian “peacekeepers”! When Russia is declared the country aggressor and Putin war criminal! In any polity , where a strong center cannot resist exploitation by states because it has the means to rescue them, however , a weak center’s lack of exploitable resources and capacity may induce states to support , even empower it; this applies so well on the current status of the EU institutions (EU parliament , EU Commission, EU Council , EU Central Bank ,…) , a very frail center when compared to say USA federal gov, Putin’s Russia, XI’s China …. . Also to note , the members of EU institutions NEVER elected democratically by the European people, purely politically elected .. Bizarre !!.
My thoughts, wether Michel, Ursula, Borell , … have been irrelevant to any global geopolitical conflicts in the world , immediate thought Ukraine . Therefore, this meeting with Michel is irrelevant, makes me correlate to Cyprus hosting diplomatic reconciliation for the issue of West Bank/Palestine !!
Would urge very delicate and extremely careful foreign policy and agenda targeting the European countries : France, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Finland, Spain ; leveraging our diaspora there as well ..

Absolutely! It’s so incredible that such a thing is allowed while in some so-called “negotiations.” This is not a negotiation, nor is it diplomacy. Seems like Armenia keeps repeating its historic mistakes of looking to others for their own independence and security.
