- PLEASE NOTE - I missed out how to upgrade your walls, pretty simple, gather the materials, look at the wall or BB element you wish you upgrade and hold F, it’ll then give you the option to upgrade your structure, it’ll place a blueprint and then you fill in with materials/ or use god mode if you’re not fussed about skill gain etc.
Anyway, today I'm going through a simple build that can be implemented into both your Solo or Multiplayer games.
I'll go through how to build, and defend by creating airlocks and placing traps, there's a few little tips in there to help you out encased in a whole guide on a base that'll not only be secure but easily defendable.
I hope this video helps some of you out, you can take these ideas and change or even improve them as you see fit, the thing with scum is, its your choice. do as you please, I only aim to guide some of you along the way starting out in scum.

Love the addition of the hi-vis, hard hat and ear defenders, lovely touch. Also really nice to see the gable end roof... I've been building with hipped roofs without realising you could gable end them with a wall 😳(heads off to demolish her base and re-build cos she just thinks gable ends are more aesthetically pleasing and sees a chance for a spot of renovation) [several hours later] yeah I hit pause and rebuilt and came back to watch the end and realised I had not saved the comment 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Haha well at least the renovation kept you busy for a while 🤣 its the small details that make a difference haha
@@theurbanhermit365 I really enjoy the BB side of the game and the gable end was the icing on the cake 💜 and yeah I also play the sims... and house flipper 🤭
Awesome update you should do some more I need some tips about how to properly eat like how do I eat a pumpkin for example, are used to just be able to chew on it. Lol.
haha 🤣, yes I've currently got an idea for a food video but I'm desperately waiting for the new food update to come in before I do it, otherwise it just makes the video null and void when the update hits.
only thing i would add is you put all the walls pointing in so when you do upgrades the barbwire will be on the inside and can kill you, when placing the walls you want arrows out. also with the traps, hold right click to focus and you can see all your mines. using focus will also let you see your buried boxes if you cant remember exactly where they are.
Yes I explained about the arrow being pointed out on the first wall I placed 😊

Foundation placement is red for me. so im on my own rented server all build restrictions are off. do i need a flag to build? i cant place any platforms or anything. its a pve mode server. im not in a no build area either. do i need to level spmething?
I believe the build restrictions setting just allows you to build anywhere on the map, you’ll still need to make a flag for a base area 🙂

I’ve never heard of a certain amount of elements cap? My current base has 236? Is this a server setting?
Yes it’s a server setting, it can be adjusted as well 😊
The walls you put under the roff. Diden work like thet. They dont cange, they stay as normal wals :( and look stupid.
Yeah sorry I believe there is a current bug with them, it should hopefully be fixed soon. Things like this tend to happen from time to time but it’s been addressed to the devs 🙂
Whats the max elements you can upgrade to?
For a 1 person squad its 100 BB elements, but you can also buy expansions of 25 and 50 extra units from a trader, So 175 max for a Solo and I believe its an extra 100 per squad member.

@@P1DZz yeah you cant place flags down in prefabs but you can put them just outside and then build up concrete walls to help protect it. I usually travel like a nomad so prefabs are great for me haha.

I appreciate that, we all learn differently. One reason I do the longer stuff, find it easier to pick up, over having all this info in a 5 minute video. Feel people would learn more in detail 🙂
