- Sean Clark takes you to the filming locations of The Fog in this clip from Horror's Hallowed Grounds, part of the bonus features in the Collector's Edition DVD & Blu-ray releases of The Fog.
When the fog rolls in...the terror begins! This moody horror classic from master of terror John Carpenter (The Thing) and producer Debra Hill (Escape from New York) stars Adrienne Barbeau (Swamp Thing), Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween), Tom Atkins (Halloween III: Season of the Witch), Hal Holbrook (Creepshow) and Janet Leigh (Psycho). Don't get lost in the fog...
The sleepy seaside village of Antonio Bay is about to learn the true meaning of the word "vengeance." For this seemingly perfect town masks a guilty secret...a past steeped in greed and murder. Exactly 100 years ago, a ship was horribly wrecked under mysterious circumstances in a thick, eerie fog. Now, shrouded in darkness, the long dead mariners have returned from their watery grave to exact a bloody revenge.

I love The Fog! An atmospheric classic!
Yes
One of the most suspenseful movies ever! And it is the first movie I bought on DVD.
Such a gorgeous area! The moment I saw the film I've wanted to visit.
Did you go? My wife and I made the drive up from San Francisco when on vacation there. It was the best day of the whole vacation. The whole drive up was beautiful, and there is a great lonely feeling in that area. Ever get the chance you gotta go!
kingv911 No, I have not, but I would absolutely LOVE to!
"Something one has to live with like an albatross around the neck. No more like a millstone, a plumbing stone by God. DAMN THEM ALL!!" -Blake.
Even now I love this film, John carpenter was a pioneer, for me in bringing horror with a twist.
This was another great horrow movie from JOHN C.
Love the film. The roads looked better in 1980 than 2013!
A Carpenter classic. 👏
Great job. I am so jealous. Would love to go visit that lighthouse someday
great stuff (short) but good narration
so awesome!
Just seen these new versions advertised on scream factory. You would have thought the makers of this could at least get their facts right. The beach behind him is immediately north of the light house but as the previous poster said Stinson Beach is miles south and thats the one used at the opening of The Fog. Also couldnt they have contacted the national park service to see if the Lighthouse was open that day; its well worth the walk down.
That's totally not Stinson Beach.
Polly Lancaster It's indeed not Stinson Beach. Well, the logo shot in the movie is Stinson, but it's a different location from where he is. Later shots in the movie are from this beach.
@@MatthiasWorch You have right. It is not the Stinson Beach. The Stinson Beach is south of the lighthouse , near to San Francisco. This Beach in the video is north of the lighthouse. I was several times at the Point Reyes Lighthouse. It's amazing!
@@JOSEFSWORLDit's called "North Beach"
Based on Scandinavian folklore but set in California
fantastic ❤....from italy
