- Heylliah Guys! It's been a long while! Today I'm back with a conlang showcase!
For those of you that doesn't know, a conlang is a CONstructed LANGuage, think Klingon from Star Trek and Elvish from Lord of the Rings. It's one of my favourite hobbies and in my opinion a form of art.
I've made a series of conlangs for my fantasy world which is where the novel I'm currently writing is set. In this video I'll be going through the language of Sphyyras, the main language of the Third Sphyyras Empire.

I feel like biblaridion has inspired many people to start conlanging (Like me). Keep up the good work bro! this conlang is very noice
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
Biblaridion is the main inspiration for how I think about conlanging and for seeing the level I aim for but my first time seriously thinking about conlanging was Artefexian believe it or not :)
Excellent work! I think the aesthetic of this conlang is really cool! As another commentor said, it sounds like a distant relative of Assyrian, Etruscan, or Ancient Greek!
I like that you have a 4-way distinction with the stops... I feel like non-velar labialized consonants aren't utilized as much in conlangs as they should be! (Though that might have to do with the fact that they're not used by a lot of real-world languages, but come on, it's a conlang! Make it interesting somehow lol...)
The fact that verb conjugation has more to do with tense + mood than any sort of person marking is also really cool! I mean, I think it's totally naturalistic to make it that pronouns just wouldn't merge verbs in the proto-lang... I don't think I've really seen a conlang that does that yet, so 10/10 for originality! :)
Also, the writing system looks really interesting and unique! I like how you have different conservative/reduced forms...
This is an awesome conlang, great work! Would love to see more conlang showcase videos like this! Subscribed!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the language! I'll definitely be doing more of these in the future!
@@NoverMaC Absolutely! Looking forward to seeing more! Keep up the great work!
the intonation of the passage in the beginning initially made me think something ancient like Assyrian, then it reminded me of Dothraki 🤔
Your writing system is really cool
Thank you!
Amazing effort on your conlang so far 😊 The way some of the script is shaped reminds me of the old Filipino script, baybayin
love the biblaridion inspiration, really cool language too!
he's one of the reasons I started conlanging in the first place haha
@@NoverMaC very similar here lol
This is kinda... fire 🔥

Nice video :)
Sounds like a mix of Mongolian, German and Nahuatl.
That's a new description haha
@@NoverMaC Бүгд Найрамдах Монгол. Өөрөө сонх төгрөг мөр.
Adu(a?)lan latin!
In all seriousness, very well made and very well fleshed out. Fantastic!
Thank you! I'm planning to make more of these as time goes on to showcase the other languages in the world of Adilan, keep your eyes peeled!
howd you make the vocabulary
Make proto language for root words and morphology, evolve. Use new structure to generate new words based on compounding and derivation
@@NoverMaC must take months then
Years. Still ongoing
Great video, cool language, good presentation, needed more glosses for translation.
