the fact bourgeosieses (wrong plural of bourgeoisie) is actually a music making fun of his way of thinking as a child (being jealous of rich people) and how he would definetly mispell the word as a child 😭

originally alley rose was gonna be called abbey road but he decided to just go with something that rhymed with it cos he didn’t think it would be smart for him to name his song the same as one of the most popular albums

So funny story re: the music video for Killing Me… apparently the person that it’s about kissed him and gave him the flu, which turned into a sinus infection and chronic tonsillitis, which ultimately put him in the hospital while he was supposed to be filming the music video. So that’s why there isn’t one 😭
I wonder if we'll ever get it...I mean 2 mvs isn't that much for an album so maybe!! 😅

All of the song titles are actually references to popular songs made in the 80’s
I love Eye of The Night. the lyrics remind me of the 80s song "Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell, it embodies this feeling or being stalked. here are some of the lyrics:

There’s a part in “lonely dancers” where I think he sounds A LOT like Michael Jackson and one of his songs. I think he could pull off something like a cover of dirty Diana and it sound reeeeaaly good 😮
I'm so in love with this album, specially Boys and Girls, it's a freaking bi anthem, not to mention Found Heaven's lyrics ended me

I LOVE CONAN SO MUCH, THIS ALBUM IS SO MY VIBE (also my parents love 80s music so I showed them his songs and now they love Conan hahahaha)
I feel like “Found Heaven” was a great opener for the album
very sadly Killing Me WAS going to have a music video, but Conan got injured im pretty sure and had to cancel it in the middle of filming it :(

I really, really loved this album. It's so different but so well done. The lyrics, the production, his voice! Everything works, it's a cohesive album. Although you can hear different influences through the album (such as Elton John, Michael Jackson, David Bowie) I'm still blown away by Conan's creativity and capacity to be so insanely good.

When listen to this album I think of Hot Chip, David Bowie, and The Weeknd (more specifically Dawn FM, Gasoline) all combined. The vibes (sonically) are immaculate. I’m an ‘81 baby so this album feels very familiar but new at the same time.

Yes to music videos, but his old videos are 🔥 if you haven’t seen them. Disaster, Memories, Yours, Maniac, the videos for the album are also bops, they all have such good aesthetics.

Love this album. I grew up in the 80’s and this screams 80’s. I hear The Human League, Tommy Page and so many others. Great album! Winner is like a movie soundtrack. Just amazing.
