You know, it's so refreshing to see there is a manufacturer actually listening to its customer base! I really like what Ember is doing in this market and you can tell they take great pride in their products. This is a great little rig right here. Tons of storage options if you will and no plaid. LoL
I really like it. The only thing it is missing again is an oven and theater seats. I would go max solar for sure. I would like to see one like the msl with the 4 wheels and no murphy bed like this to compare. This is really close to the top of my list now.
Ember is doing so much better with these campers!! Storage is now great. Still waiting for a oven inside! And a table with legs would be nice instead of the fixed table! Thanks Josh for the video and keep up the good work Ember!!
@@jenniferghormley5209 We have a couple of ottomans that are great for storage in our GeoPro but when we’re not using them we’re constantly looking to move them out of the way. With the incliners the foot rests would just go away.
CaraBEANers As always I really appreciate that the microwave is an option but I'd still like to see a stovetop with oven pushed farther to the left leaving space for the drawers and adding countertop space. And PLEASE put a side splash guard on that wall as well. I can't help but think that if the storage behind the sofa was removed and maybe a theater seat or just simple sofa with storage underneath could eliminate the need for a slide. It's got great storage as is. I know most boondocking enthusiasts are going to be outside for the majority of time. It'd be great if the ac could be a 12vlt version as well. I know that would require a bigger solar pkg but I think when you're looking at something like this that has that kind of off-road capabilities and at this price point I think owners would be willing to step up and it'd be well received by enthusiasts.
I really love these Embers, I was strongly considering the 170 MRB because of the storage and no slide, but now I torn. This has the storage, plus I like the extra roof, for possible even more MAX solar.
Nerd herder here ✋🏻. Leerrve it. Maximum respect for Ember’s construction overall. Wouldn’t hate to see two, smaller sofa-attaching tables versus one large.
Looks like a very comfortable battle wagon! 👍🏻👍🏻 my only negative is the table mount. Unless that attaches to an extremely rugged mount it, it will fail eventually just by using the table. People seem lean on tables without realizing they’re doing it. A portable table with folding legs would be more attractive to me.
Both Ember and Flex Minnie Winnebago Truma AC and water heaters with a lot of boon docking opportunities. Would love to see a side by side comparison of these two trailers.
My wife & I have earnest $ down to buy one of these (Max solar & potions of course lol) @ Coldwater! Would love to meet ya when we finally get scheduled to pick up! ( long story lol) Thanks to Joe V. for his professionalism & patients it our decision making & buying prosses!
Glad to see a water port next to the door so that you can wash your feet off before stepping into the RV. So often they are on the rear or even the off side. Never understood that.
I have watched this several times and it has become somewhat of a dream travel trailer for me for photography. The one thing that at the moment that I can think of is if you were to have a guest. A privacy curtain for the bed would be nice. Not necessary but having a way to separate yourself from some has its advantages
They just keep getting better! Was waiting for tandem axles and here they are. Now, if they would just make it without the slide (think Black Series with better quality and pricing).
Beautiful! Love the stargazer window and overall layout. Agree with other comments preferring free standing table. I'd add that it would be nice to be able to store table behind couch. While I'm wishing - store 2 free standing tables there - one for outside. I'm still holding out for the 221MDB with that awesome cargo/bunk area! Continuing to wish on stars.... on the 221MDB I'd love to see: MORE FRESH WATER! Dinette. Twin beds forward with optional bunks above them Large oven Rectangular sink Built in generator- maybe on tongue with max solar package. Hangers in pass through for exterior table. And maybe paint that AC cover white. Thanks Josh!
Josh, you are now my #1 travel trailer video presenter. Mostly humorous (especially for myself who was born in the 60s), knowledgeable, balanced reviews that highlight meaningful things to consider. Love, Love, LOVE the travel mode views. You provide a lot of information that is often not available on the manufacturer's website. As for the FBQ so much to love (suspension, construction, decor, solar std/options, increased storage vs other Embers). Only a few less critical lowlights in this model vs other brands including limited kitchen counters (prefer rectangular bowl), no theater seat option (hopefully the sofa is comfy), prefer convection/micro option. Two burners would be fine if induction (I can dream). Is the sink in bath still plastic? - you didn't mention it in this video. Also need to get my wife comfortable with prep space in bathroom. DON'T want cheap privacy curtain in bedroom, it's a couples coach and if you have to change do it in the bathroom. Can't wait to see one in person - hopefully at the Hershey show.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Hope to see you there! Thanks again for being a positive influence on both customers and the industry - you're like Chuck Woolery bringing two "interested" parties together.
Josh, I like this but I would change a few minor things. First, change the table out for one that is self suporting so it can be used either inside or out. Second, make the storage behind the couch accessable from outside for longer items. Everything else is very positive, I really like the type of construction and how the roof trim helps keep the sides from flexing. Great idea with the ladder and mounting points. Most of our camping is off grid so the flexable jacks and steps are a benefit as is the solar package. What about generator prep?
Almost perfect. Would love all solar, no propane. And like some others have said, no slide. Love that they herd the nerds! Thanks for another great vlog!
The reason they didn't extend the corner, triangle shaped cabinets to the top for more storage is for added cabinet construction strength. Ember is really showing a great deal of thought and engineering in their products. More so than older, more established brands. I am very impressed and excited by this new company, and can't wait to see how is evolves to become better and better.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Most definitely!!! Perhaps we're getting picky now but the ONLY THING we would like would be this model with a murphy bed giving us that second couch / love seat... We did wonder why the two corner like storage cabinets didn't go all the way up to the ceiling? 🤷 then again, perhaps we are being WAY too picky... 🥴
Great trailer and great overview Josh! What I'd like to see? Windshield-style window at the front and north-south windows in the slide out. Thanks for passing along our suggestions.
I really like these Embers!!! I like all the storage space inside and that it has not one but TWO pantries....one with magnetic movable shelves!!! I love the space they give you by the bed with the ember lights for putting your nighttime things there!!! Awesome! I would like a curtain to go around the bed. And a bigger stove with an oven! Also.....that bathroom is a no go for me. Doesn't look fluffy friendly and it has a radius shower! Radius showers should be outlawed! And I do not like the lagoon table for the couch. Give me a folding table and maybe an incliner couch with those little tables that go in on the cup holders. That would work! I really like the solar package available and the way these are made! Great job, Ember!!!! Keep up the good work!!! Can't wait to see what else they have in store for the future!
Love that the microwave is optional! In our current trailer, the absurdly tiny microwave is used by us for storage. We have never used a microwave in previous rvs, either.
Pretty Sweeet !!! ... A couple minor mods,..The GO Power monitor panel in the front pass through needs to move inside the living space. 2) The outside access storage door to the inside cabinet under the TV needs a substantial locking system. Could be 2 simple slider bolts, one at top , one at bottom only accessible from the inside. When a door is big enough to " Enter through " it needs to be Secure.
I liked alot about this camper. I would like the bed mattress to fit the box it's sitting on. If you sit on the edge of the mattress you'd slip onto the floor! I have seen mattresses that have been cut on the diagonal on the corners. Good idea I thought ..... And I noticed there was room for a shelf or cabinet above the hooks in the bathroom behind the toilet.....other than that.. It's really getting there.
I love the quality of the Ember Rv . Is the wheel chalk that they use available to purchase. I also wish Ember made a model with twin beds. Thanks for a great review and video.
This is an absolute winner in my book. Great floorpan. Appears to be high quality materials. Coupled with the Max Solar and you would be all set up. Love the new stabilizer jack system!!
WOW, I've been following Ember with you since the very first video. This model conclusively confirms that the folks at Ember are completely insane (in a very very good way)!
This is one of the best Ember RVs that I think would work for me. Nice floor plan layout. Looks like it would be convenient to live in. I could live without the microwave (as the RV I have now did not come with one either), but it would be nice to have a propane oven. Just seems like it would make more sense for an off grid style of RV like this one. Looks like they are making good progress with the outside storage, although I am surprised they do not convert that area behind the sofa in the slide to some form of outside storage. That would be a good place to store water hoses and electrical cords, etc. I like to have those items stored near the area of the RV where they will be used. That also will free up the front pass through storage for all of the various barbecue equipment that I can't seem to live without. The "Sloth" poster should be on the outside of the RV.............maybe on the back? Go Goonies!!!!!
I like the colour of the ember lights in the bedside cubbies. Same shade as on their logo. Not a fan of that type of ladder, but the side access looks less unnerving than the back corner.
I do like that unit. I have couple of updates I would suggest. Add incliners to the sofa. It would be fine if the table had be free floating and maybe better. The other would be a convection microwave option. ‘Cause sometimes you just need biscuits when camping. Excellent video as always. Thank you
Portable small table instead of the one that attaches to the couch would be nice. Love that it can be ordered without a microwave. I’d like to see the A/C cover white to help keep it cooler. Overall though, it is a great unit. Can’t wait for one to show up in the Meridian Idaho area to take a look at in person.
And I think this layout could have worked perfect without the slide. They allocated to much locker space behind the sofa imo. If you cut that in half or reduced it 75% you wouldn’t need a slide at all. Reducing cost, labor, and customer price. Just my opinion
The storage in this is amazing! I love the storage lockers and don’t mind the small slide it really opens up the space especially for those rainy camping days!
I agree. We camp to get away - we don't want to take it all with us. If we really need room for something, there's plenty of room in the truck bed. I think they'll eventually make both styles - great to see a company that actually responds to customer feedback.
And, the slide is a moving part that needs maintenance and could break. I don't see slide toppers offered, so that's why there's a ladder position there to clean it before retracting.
Love the larger size, the extra storage areas (corner cabinets) and can appreciate the storage area with inside & outside access. I also like the bathroom & shower design. I would like one with a larger outside kitchen, as that has been a key feature for me on my last two RVs. Overall I'm really impressed with how they've been listening and willing to improve or make changes. I purchased a new RV last year, so they have some time to come out with my dream rig before I'm ready to buy. Ember, and Josh, keep up the great work!
Regular member of the RV Nerd Herd here! Love this trailer. This is such a great unit. I love the look and construction. The neutral tones inside are timeless - very nice. I almost prefer the flexibility of the Murphy to add additional seating space/flexibility but this one and the 191MSL are two of my favorites.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Yes!! I agree 100%!! A bigger no slide version of the MSL with a double dinofa, and max max solar is definitely what I want, and what I am waiting for... 🤞🤞 Hopefully sooner than later... 🙏 Side note suggestion... I would love to see Ember add a backsplash/sidesplash where applicable by the stove top, and also a pull out sprayer on the kitchen sink faucet would be a nice upgraded touch... Love the videos!! Thank you.
Seriously love this! Thanks for taking the time to bring us these awesome videos my dude! I discovered Ember through you! When we are ready to buy we will be driving out to Bish's in Coldwater!
Super Dooper Josh, but I still want an oven to bake my chicken wings in. The new 4 wheel set up is fabulous and makes this rig rock and rollin. It definitely is so welcome. You are bringing some great models to the screen this week deserving mucho WooHoo's! Thanks Josh, will in Florida
Love the channel and all the info. Don't love the split screen intro. I know you're trying something new, but the wife and I prefer the voice-over, short shot intro. Thank you for all your hard work. We live in TX and will most likely buy from Bish's once we have made up our minds.
Thx for the feedback The vertical side by side is allowing me to repurpose that footage and save huge production time Maybe if I get an assistant I can do something like dual recording
Wow, wow, wow! I love this Ember model. Ember, you’re killin it!! Two questions- any chance of putting a window in the bathroom on the back wall? And any chance of putting a window at the head of the bed? We love the innovative things you’re doing!! Keep up the good work!!
Hi Josh, thank you for doing these videos, they are an entertaining introduction to trailers we otherwise wouldn't know about. I love this Ember, but would like to see whether it would work without the slide. Theater seating (or at least foot rests), a free standing table and dimmable/directional reading lights on the cabinet above/beside the bed would be great. I would vote against a front windshield, the skylight idea is perfect. Love the stabilizers and axles. Good locks on external access is a good point. Keep it up Ember (and bring them to Canada! :-).
@@JoshtheRVNerd There are two listed in Ontario. One I contacted hadn't heard of an Ember, the other said they had yet to actually make it across the border. Importing is an option, but perhaps we wait until they are less of a hot commodity.
It’s all coming Did you see my factory video tour? If so, then take note of the fact they have like 40-45ft scaffolding lifts That are long enough to make things like fifth wheels and Motorhomes.. They’re looking forward man. It just takes time to get there
Josh we like this one a lot except the sofa, we’re recliner people. No oven isn’t a breaker, skillet biscuits are very good, for cookies will need a solar powered oven or possible toaster oven. My wife said that max solar would be needed so when we go visit family in west & north west Texas for a week or two wouldn’t need to worry about not enough power. Josh I didn’t hear you say the AC BTU. The fold up shelves is great for a combo pantry plus a place for swifter mop & duster, possible for shoes/ boots. Josh love your squirrel moments plus rabbit chasing. Yakety, Yake Don’t Come Back. Do you remember those lyrics? Keep’m coming. I know with recliners, will need a folding table
Funny.. just finished a plate of biscuits with sausage gravy for breakfast This might start a fight but.. sausage gravy to me so is so much better than just plain country gravy
@@JoshtheRVNerd I like sausage gravy and biscuits my #1 choice, #2 brown country gravy and biscuits, Caint beat them fixed in a cast iron skillet. Josh did your Grandmother fix homemade biscuits every morning cooking them, bacon, sausage, smokehouse cured ham using a wood cook stove? Those were wonderful memories as a child.
That tall narrow cabinet to the left of the refrigerator desperately needs a closing door.... or at least some netting or something to hold all of the items inside. Otherwise, I can see everything falling out during towing for sure. With a good door, it could be a great little pantry space and/or the top half a coat closet and the bottom half shelves.
Josh, great job as always. Love this camper. Minor suggestions from me. Doors on the cabinet next to the refrigerator,an open cabinet above the toilet to store towels and larger cabinets above the bed. Thanks again for the reviews.
would love to see one of these with a separate bedroom, no slide and rear dinette with large windows. they seem to be good quality and i like the design.
Very nice trailer! A lot of quality there & I really agree it could be generational! Definitely great for off grid camping but also could use as a guest cottage when having guests stay over at home. Or in many cases when the kids have sleep overs instead of them being spread wall to wall in the living room 😂 Great work Josh!
I actually like it, a lot. Couple quick questions. There appears to be a lot of real estate on the roof, how many solar panels can I have installed up there? Is the space on top of the battery/propane box big enough & strong enough to hold a generator? I’m not familiar with the foot underneath the tongue, how does that work? I didn’t see any obvious way to raise or lower it (& subsequently the ball cup). One observation, when you were looking into the small storage area from the outside you could see the backside of the cabinet construction and it was encouraging to see the cabinet put together with pocket screws and not staples. The more I see of Ember the more I like them. Thanks
Love This! Thank you Ember. I would still like an oven in this floor plan, and a privacy curtain for the bedroom area would be a nice touch. Husband is always awake earlier than I am. I'd need to see one in person to know whether the bathroom has enough room for my fluffy butt. Special kudos to Ember for the way they outfit the bedside space behind the bedside closets. I love the outlets and the light switch back there.
Hi Josh. What kind/brand is the slide mechanism? Do you know if you can sit on the sofa with the slide pulled in without risking damage to the slide? Thanks!
Ember, +Love the Quad-Indy suspension and GY Wrangler tires.👍🏼 -Needs convection/micro as standard. +Love the storage lockers behind the sofa.👍🏼 -Table needs to be lagoon style turnable-top instead of fixed top. +Love the behind TV storage. Perfect execution! +Love the below tv storage pass-through option, vs the outdoor kitchen. Useful for garbage, clothes, or grocery pass-throughs, and so on. -The radius shower is always a miss, but the surround is aesthetically appealing, though lacking a footrest for leg shaving. -Toilet area is too tight. +Porcelain bowl. -The bathroom area needs redesign. Swap rear fridge and mini-Mervin shelves area, with the left-of-sofa storage/pantry shelf area to expand en-suite utility, shower size, bowl area room and to add as much linen, clothes and sundries storage as possible across the full aft. *Still need a gas/electric or better, a 3-way fridge. Use only 3-way fridges and put this whole ask/option To rest, once and for all! (A solution which suits all!) *Allow the stargazer to be Swap-optionally exchanged with a bi-directional deluxe maxx air fan with all weather use functionality. +Love the No-Front cap window. -Expand size of over head storage cabinets above bed. *Add a padded true headboard feature. *Add under frame perimeter lights with inside switch. (Critter deterrence/utility) *Last ask would be for a 3rd anchor area for the ladder. Allowing the topside to be reasonably maintained without automatically requiring walking up top. **As a physically challenged individual, the transition to walking up top-side is the aspect which concerns me. +The slightly bit lower obsession required for maintenance which your roof construction design affords, is one of the main reasons I am considering an Ember. PVC/Rubber/TPO roofs are terrible tech regards to maintenance concerns. **Overall, I like this ember for it’s ‘Quad-Indy’s’. --I’d love the 191msl to be also made a ‘Quad-Indy’ no Murphy bed model. With fixed queen, and the deletion of the huge side storage door, keeping only the rear cargo door, and tweaking it with some of my suggestions for the Quad-Indy models generally. I know, can’t please everybody, but if your going to charge more, you gotta adapt to your potential customer interests vs the ‘Take it or Leave it’ approach. **Here’s hoping your company will not revert to historical attitudes whose standardizations are for the ease of builds, or to be equal to all the rest of the low-quality industry standards. Energy cratering before having new thought for real quality or true innovation.🤞🏼Hoping you guys set a higher bar and without the dismissal of your potential customers comments. -Sincerely.
You asked king or twins for the bed. I would love to see it with twins. I would primarily be traveling with a friend, enough that I'd hate to park her on the sofa all the time. Twins would be perfect, even if it wasn't able to be changed to a queen or king. In my mind, I see it as N/S each bed along the wall, with a center nightstand and wardrobe. We both use PAP machines for sleep apnea, so it would have to be big enough for 2 of them. I wouldn't mind the nightstand extending a little further into the room. It is difficult to find something that would accommodate 2 friends traveling together, where one wasn't on a less than great bed. The only thing I can find would be a class B with a rear bath. Too small for us. Sure, bunk house, but I'd prefer not to have it due to added length and cost. Its a missing need in the RV world. Ember is at the top of my list.
Lovely - so much done well. Only issues - 1) no dish drying space adjacent to the kitchen sink. 2) high microwave - can we option and put it in a lower cabinet under countertop?
I love this RV as it is. There are only 2 changes that I have seen mentioned that would value for me - outside access to the storage behind the sofa so the user has options between where that storage is most needed and a freestanding table as opposed to the one that hooks on because as others have mentioned people lean on them without thinking. Also, I have heard it isn’t good to sit in the slide when it is closed as it could damage the floor. If that is the case, a freestanding table gives you the option to sit on the bed and use the table during a quick stop on the road.
I know I've done a video on using the slides when closed but something I should've done a better job of covering is the fact that it is always a "use good judgement at your own risk" because no factory nor supplier tests for it. So unfortunately it's not something I can ever guarantee
Ember, you guys & gals nailed this one! We have a 2023 GeoPro 19FBS and this unit would be what I would upsize to in the future. Only comment would be to offer a stove and 3 burner cooktop as that would sell the wife on it! Nicely done overall, looks absolutely killer!
Now we're talking!! I've been following Ember (along with the rest of the #nerdherd ) since you first started teasing their existence about a year ago and I have been anxiously waiting and campaigning for the dual "axle"/walkaround bed models ever since. I LOVE this floorplan and only an MSL version of the 221MDB will dissuade me from purchasing the 201FBQ! I anxiously await your review of the 221MDB...and I'd love to know if Ember is planning on releasing an MSL version of it?? As for this 201FBQ, Ember has been SO customer focused and responsive that my comments at this point is pretty nitpicky!! I'd like to see the shelf on the battery side of the front gear box be made so it could be removed (to allow for storage of larger items like a generator if the Max Solar is purchased), and I'd like to see exterior access to the slide out storage area(s) behind the sofa (a la Rockwood/Flagstaff). I love the diagonal storage cabinets/pantry that they added by the TV cabinet and between the slide and the bathroom, but why don't those cabinets go all the way to the ceiling...the top area is just wasted space since anything up there will fall off during transit (even on paved roads!). I do like that Ember added doors to the cabinets over the bed unlike the 170 series that have open shelves. I love the flexibility and creativity Ember has incorporated with the 'mervin' shelves next to the refrigerator and the flip-up shelf behind the TV. I'd love to know the dimensions on the inside/outside storage space under the TV that was the former outside kitchen location? If it's big enough, I would repurpose that into a kennel area to put the dog(s) in at night. Overall, there's not much not to love about this model!! An interesting industry side note... I noticed the other day that Forest River has incorporated the Curt suspension(s) (that Ember uses) onto the No Boundaries (NoBo) line. It's not clear if the change is standard for their 2023 models or just an option. Forest River has amped up their NoBo line with the new suspension and finally a decent solar package to the point that the NoBo's are actually approaching the point where you really can take them off-grid. NoBo's still lack decent water capacity, but I think that's because Forest River is trying to keep them in the
Ember is currently gathering a lot of input at Overland expos to know what projects should take next priority A “221MSL” and even a “220MSL” no slide have been discussed
I'm not sure how I missed your videos on these tandem (err... Quad?) axle trailers. I was thinking we were going to have to find a vintage airstream, gut it, and rebuild it. But Ember is doing almost everything, EVERYTHING we would do. Seriously! These trailers are almost 100% perfect. I have just a few comments/questions/concerns: Question: Are RVs with slides capable of being 'legacy' trailers? We've had two molded fiberglass trailers, both of which I'd consider 'legacy', neither of which have slides. So, are slides inherently going to shorten an RV's lifespan or do they just require more care and work to keep them from breaking down? Concern: It's frankly lighter than I thought it'd be and I love the storage. But am I going to be able to pack this thing with what seems like a small carrying capacity? I love the big water tanks but full fresh water for boondocking will take up a third of the carrying capacity. Comment: The layout is amazing in so many ways! But I'd really like to see the seating in the back so we could get more windows. Also, can we rethink bathrooms a little? I need more room when sitting on the toilet! If that means a bathroom that I walk through to get to the bedroom, fine! If that means a plastic fold down sink without a counter, fine! For us larger folk (both high and wide), we really need a bathroom with room on toilet and in shower. Like I said, there are a few things I'd change but they are relatively small considering all the terrific things about these trailers. Way to go Ember! P.S. I love how they look inside and out. I wouldn't change the outside at all and keep the inside plain and simple. That way, the look becomes 'legacy' on the outside and we can make it our own on the inside. Wow! What a terrific RV in under 25 feet! I'm impressed! #rvnerdherd
Also, I forgot to mention two other things... There's a manufacturer making really cool replacements for those door handles-- it's like a pop out railing that's way more useful. Another thing about RVs in general: I'd love to see smaller ACs that can run longer on the solar system. When a window unit above the bed or something would be better IMHO. I just don't think an RV this size needs 13000 or 15000 BTUs. #rvnerdherd
Also, watching it again...I wish the area above the television had a door that I could open as well. It would just make it easier for tall people to use that hanging rod. It wouldn't need to be it's own cupboard space but having the front open would make it more useful. #rvnerdherd
#rvnerdherd ONE LAST THING! Go Power!? Really? Do you think we could get upgraded to a bit nicer solar parts? I'm thinking if you're going to outfit a rig with expensive parts -- the suspension/axle parts, Truma appliances, and did I see a Lagun table in one, for example -- maybe Victron isn't out of the question for solar system parts. Just my two cents.
This is exactly what i was looking for. We have a 166fbs snd my only issue is the bed. Plus, i like what they did with the psss through storage under the tv.
Twin beds (convertible to king) offer lots of flexibility! As a single lady traveling with multiple dogs, I would take the mattress off of one twin and put all my dog crates on it (am drooling over the Micro Minnie FLX with twin beds)! Love your videos!
That is one of the best campers I have seen in years
Wow!!
I’d love this with no slide and the ember removable bunks in the rear!
LOT of requests for that. A 220MSL basically. Would be awesome
@AutoGamesNation, there is more than one reason to dislike a slide, but out of curiosity, may I ask yours? I’m still in RV research/learning mode.
You know, it's so refreshing to see there is a manufacturer actually listening to its customer base! I really like what Ember is doing in this market and you can tell they take great pride in their products. This is a great little rig right here. Tons of storage options if you will and no plaid. LoL
More plaid. Got it
@@JoshtheRVNerd Uuuuhhhhh, no!

This has got to be one of the best smaller campers ive seen yet. Just because of the well thought out storage, and like you said the accessibility.
The suspension system looks great. Would love to see this on more trailers. Nice rig!

A fan of the two burner stoves and how the free up counter space. Be cool to see an incliner sofa. Everyone likes to be able to put their feet up.
A couple poof seats could do double duty as extra seats for the table and as ottomans.

I would probably go with your choice and not use the factory one, for the same reasons'
I think I would convert it into a floating lagoon table, to swivel out of the way.
My wife & I can stuff ourselves... a metal table would be preferable to a "sealed edge pressed membrane "
Both Ember and Flex Minnie Winnebago Truma AC and water heaters with a lot of boon docking opportunities. Would love to see a side by side comparison of these two trailers.
Hmm.. I might be able to do that with Winnie’s back on my home lot
My wife & I have earnest $ down to buy one of these (Max solar & potions of course lol) @ Coldwater! Would love to meet ya when we finally get scheduled to pick up! ( long story lol) Thanks to Joe V. for his professionalism & patients it our decision making & buying prosses!
Any chance you might be able to get a paint pen & autograph the rear of the trailer when it gets to Coldwater in the next week?
What the fudge was that picture you suggested to put over the bed. Lmbo. I had to rewind it. Your sense of humor is the best. Please don’t stop.
HEEEYYYYY YOOOOUUU GUUYYYYSSSS
Glad to see a water port next to the door so that you can wash your feet off before stepping into the RV. So often they are on the rear or even the off side. Never understood that.
Yes king and twin please
Continuing to wish on stars.... on the 221MDB I'd love to see:
MORE FRESH WATER!
Dinette.
Twin beds forward with optional bunks above them
Large oven
Rectangular sink
Built in generator- maybe on tongue with max solar package.
Hangers in pass through for exterior table.
And maybe paint that AC cover white.
Thanks Josh!
My pleasure - thank YOU!!
Wow.. Ty for the kind words. That’s big praise :)
I MIGHT be at the Hershey show btw!!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Hope to see you there! Thanks again for being a positive influence on both customers and the industry - you're like Chuck Woolery bringing two "interested" parties together.
@@kevinwiser1167 Remember how he said "We'll be back in Two and Two"
Those commercial breaks were exactly two minutes and two seconds
Josh, I like this but I would change a few minor things. First, change the table out for one that is self suporting so it can be used either inside or out. Second, make the storage behind the couch accessable from outside for longer items. Everything else is very positive, I really like the type of construction and how the roof trim helps keep the sides from flexing. Great idea with the ladder and mounting points. Most of our camping is off grid so the flexable jacks and steps are a benefit as is the solar package. What about generator prep?
Floating folding leg table would be my preference as well
No Gen prep space on these but I wonder if you couldn’t mount one a top the gear box
There’s also that rear hitch..
Why would you want a generator when you can get the Battle Born batteries!? And 650 solar!?
Almost perfect. Would love all solar, no propane. And like some others have said, no slide. Love that they herd the nerds! Thanks for another great vlog!
Ty!
Nice. I still want to see a no slide version for couples though.
I am as you put it "slide hesitant" ... but the extra space & storage won my wife & then me over
My wife and I have been WAITING for this one!!!! 😍😍😍
Hope the wait was worth it!!
@@JoshtheRVNerd
Most definitely!!! 🥴
Cara-beener is the correct way to say it. Nice trailer!
Ty
Great trailer and great overview Josh! What I'd like to see? Windshield-style window at the front and north-south windows in the slide out. Thanks for passing along our suggestions.
I like the idea of slide wide windows
+1 vote on the windshield window up front
Very nice unit. Would prefer a square sink over a round little more room and can fit a plastic dish pan.
Ty
I love the shower surround and the faucet handles in the shower and sink!!
Awesome ty
Is a dinette an option instead of the theater seats?
Folding leg tables are something I am also a fan of seeing
REALLY like how natural light can fill the space. Another good vid Josh. TY
Great suggestion about the pad lock on the wheel chock Josh .
Glad it was helpful!
Love that the microwave is optional! In our current trailer, the absurdly tiny microwave is used by us for storage. We have never used a microwave in previous rvs, either.
Love love this I've looked for so long being a single camper for one that has a lot of storage and set up that's perfect for me.
Pretty Sweeet !!! ... A couple minor mods,..The GO Power monitor panel in the front pass through needs to move inside the living space.
2) The outside access storage door to the inside cabinet under the TV needs a substantial locking system. Could be 2 simple slider bolts,
one at top , one at bottom only accessible from the inside. When a door is big enough to " Enter through " it needs to be Secure.
Fair enough. Ty!
Go with a 35' RV and I'm in. But as is, this RV is impressive. If I were looking for a smaller couples-type RV, hands down, this is it!
That's one of my favorite couple travel trailer floorplan. Great storage!
Lot of twin requests. Keep them coming! :)
@@JoshtheRVNerd I'd love to see more twin bed options too!
Very very nice off road couples camper. Just love what Ember is doing these days. Lots of storage for this 24'er ! Thanks Josh
This is an absolute winner in my book. Great floorpan. Appears to be high quality materials. Coupled with the Max Solar and you would be all set up. Love the new stabilizer jack system!!
I have been really surprised at how popular the max solar package is - folks really loving it
Ember is making moves. Everyone else in the industry better be watching
WOW, I've been following Ember with you since the very first video.
This model conclusively confirms that the folks at Ember are completely insane (in a very very good way)!
Ty for sticking around!
GOONIES NEVER DIE
I like the colour of the ember lights in the bedside cubbies. Same shade as on their logo.
Not a fan of that type of ladder, but the side access looks less unnerving than the back corner.
I do like that unit. I have couple of updates I would suggest. Add incliners to the sofa. It would be fine if the table had be free floating and maybe better. The other would be a convection microwave option. ‘Cause sometimes you just need biscuits when camping.
Excellent video as always. Thank you
Incliners is something I thought about too. Awesome idea. TY
Love it, but would love a toy hauler!
Exactly.
I don’t believe we are set up to carry these at our Idaho stores t this time btw
@@JoshtheRVNerd sounds like you need to make some phone calls and kick a few folks in the butt to make it happen. Hahahaha
And I think this layout could have worked perfect without the slide. They allocated to much locker space behind the sofa imo. If you cut that in half or reduced it 75% you wouldn’t need a slide at all. Reducing cost, labor, and customer price. Just my opinion
I like the storage space and the usb outlet, but I can see your point.
Fair! Ty
Will do!
I’d love to see a bigger version of the missile with no slides
@@JoshtheRVNerd that would be perfect!! Hopefully they offer that someday.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Yes!! I agree 100%!! A bigger no slide version of the MSL with a double dinofa, and max max solar is definitely what I want, and what I am waiting for... 🤞🤞 Hopefully sooner than later... 🙏
Side note suggestion... I would love to see Ember add a backsplash/sidesplash where applicable by the stove top, and also a pull out sprayer on the kitchen sink faucet would be a nice upgraded touch...
Love the videos!!
Thank you.
I really like this model. I would prefer the traditional outside storage doors to be held open with magnets and windows in the sides of the slide.
Seriously love this! Thanks for taking the time to bring us these awesome videos my dude! I discovered Ember through you! When we are ready to buy we will be driving out to Bish's in Coldwater!
Thank you for the kind words today :)
Thx for the feedback
The vertical side by side is allowing me to repurpose that footage and save huge production time
Maybe if I get an assistant I can do something like dual recording
I personally like the queen bed. It allows for so much more storage & night stand areas.☺️
Love that over the bed stargazer skylight.
Does ember not currently have any Canadian-based dealerships?
@@JoshtheRVNerd
There are two listed in Ontario. One I contacted hadn't heard of an Ember, the other said they had yet to actually make it across the border. Importing is an option, but perhaps we wait until they are less of a hot commodity.
This one checks all the boxes for me!
Great trailer - very impressive. I agree a free standing table would be better especially if offered with theatre seats!
Gotta admit I love this Ember, nice to see something different come down the pike.
"Roughing it smoothly" LOL. 55 gallons freshwater! in a TT that's unheard of. Made to boonedock.
Definitely would love a twin bed option!!!!
I want one. One change a king bed would be perfect. Or have room on the bed sides to stretch out our arms. Reconfigure closet on sides of bed.
Looks good I like the floor plan.
This is the exact model I plan to purchase. Max Solar for sure!
They're getting there! Still need something a bit bigger. Love that solar package!
It’s all coming
Did you see my factory video tour? If so, then take note of the fact they have like 40-45ft scaffolding lifts
That are long enough to make things like fifth wheels and Motorhomes..
They’re looking forward man. It just takes time to get there
@@JoshtheRVNerd I did watch that video, and yeah I can't wait to see what they do!
Funny.. just finished a plate of biscuits with sausage gravy for breakfast
This might start a fight but.. sausage gravy to me so is so much better than just plain country gravy
Those were wonderful memories as a child.
cant wait for the Bunk house model!!!
They’re out now. I just haven’t been able to get my hands on one
@@JoshtheRVNerd oh man!!! Please do!! BTW I love your reviews and dad jokes!! Keep them coming!!!🤣😂
Twin option Will be great !
Josh, great job as always. Love this camper. Minor suggestions from me. Doors on the cabinet next to the refrigerator,an open cabinet above the toilet to store towels and larger cabinets above the bed. Thanks again for the reviews.
My pleasure!! Ty for watching
would love to see one of these with a separate bedroom, no slide and rear dinette with large windows. they seem to be good quality and i like the design.
Thanks
Factory max solar is 3x panels
There’s room left over but you’d need to custom wire stuff
Yes! Those cubbies would otherwise be nightmare, unusable space. Instead, Ember has made them really, really useful!
This is the RV I want!
Give us a shout! We are ready when you are :)
Hi Josh. What kind/brand is the slide mechanism? Do you know if you can sit on the sofa with the slide pulled in without risking damage to the slide? Thanks!

And nobody can tell you if it can be used when closed and guarantee it as mfgs and suppliers don’t test for that

Microwave does not have alternate factory locations unfortunately
Thx Dan :)
NoBo's still lack decent water capacity, but I think that's because Forest River is trying to keep them in the
Ember is currently gathering a lot of input at Overland expos to know what projects should take next priority
A “221MSL” and even a “220MSL” no slide have been discussed
@@JoshtheRVNerd Cool, I'm planning on seeing them at the overland expo in Loveland, Colorado at the end of next month. I'll be lobbying for a 221MSL!!
I have just a few comments/questions/concerns:
Question: Are RVs with slides capable of being 'legacy' trailers?
I saw two southbound on 31 near Kokomo today
Twin beds (convertible to king) offer lots of flexibility! As a single lady traveling with multiple dogs, I would take the mattress off of one twin and put all my dog crates on it (am drooling over the Micro Minnie FLX with twin beds)! Love your videos!
I have minnie twin bed FLX video coming :)
