First time doing JAYG. You made it so easy! Thank you! And, what a delight it was to crochet with you, Maine to Scotland! On to the next part of the gorgeous Winter Walk Blanket!
Thank you Marion, this was extremely helpful. I'm making your moody blues blanket and absolutely loving every moment of it. I can't believe how beautiful the colours are!
Thank you Marion. I've joined my first 9 squares for the winter walk blanket following along with you. So well explained and I can't wait to do the next section 😁
Great video. I like this method best of those I’ve watched previously. To me, it looks more polished without all of the extra chains creating gaps. Thanks for sharing! 👏👏
Thanks, Marion. I used to do a different method of continuous join as you go, but couldn't remember it. Your tutorial is so clear and easy to follow, and I think your method is much better than the previous one I used, so I'll stick with this in future.
Just bought this pattern and have started collecting my stash…as a crocheter who is trying to learn more this video was invaluable. Thank you so much for the beautifully explained technique.👏👏👏
Hi Marion, you have saved my life with this video thank you so much, I’ve been fiddling along with my own version of this method and getting it so wrong
Beautiful demonstration and gorgeous blanket. I’m so looking forward to making this. Thank you for sharing your beautiful design and this great method joining. I absolutely adore your accent too!💞
You have the patience of a saint! Thank you so much for this. The pace was just right and you answered all my queries. Am looking forward to the next video re attaching the strips of squares. Your pattern is beautiful. Wanted to do it as soon as I saw it. Thnx again 🌻🌻
This tutorial was amazing! I dont know how i would have gotten through it without your very clear and patient video so thank you!! I was wondering if you had posted the next part of the pattern in a video, attaching the rest of the granny squares with silver? I cant seem to find it. Thanks again!
@@Woolthreadpaint I took a deep breath and started with the written pattern and didn't have an issue at all. I let my anxiety get the best of me. This afghan is turning out just beautifully. Thanks so much all the way from Oregon, US ❤️
Hi. This is such a helpful video. I’m just wondering if you have any sort of formula to work out roughly how much yarn you need for any size of blanket? I realise this will vary with yarn and tension but just hoping for a rough idea how much yarn to buy to finish off my blanket. (Not a specific pattern, just granny squares)
Hello Marion.. Would this be the same method for the Noel nine patch…I’m a bit worried about it tbh…I have done join as you go for grannies around a centre square ,but not this version.. you did make it look achievable however..So here’s hoping. 😂♥️
The Nine Patch squares are joined with Simple JAYG, which is easier than Continuous. The nine patches are then joined with my Side to Side Slip Stitch join, which again is easy. Please don’t worry about it.
No, acrylic yarn doesn’t need to be blocked. I give the finished blanket a short machine wash at 30° plus a 1000rpm speed spin . It relaxes the fibres and it comes out wonderfully soft. It can be laid out flat to dry and any wrinkles and bumps can easily be flattened out.
Hi Marion, I’m doing a blanket of yours, it calls for different colours jayg which I’m really finding scary as I’ve never done jayg before, can you help?
It’s no longer available on Etsy, I’ve had the pattern and the wool for a while, I’ve done the first squares, then put it back in the bag because I couldn’t work it out and I was too scared to try, I’ve been procrastinating ever since 🤦🏻♀️
@@carolinebarrow5784 That’s strange. I’ve just checked, and all my patterns are on Etsy. None have been deleted. If you have the pattern downloaded and can tell me which one it is, I could direct you to one of my RUclips videos which might help.
Actually I think I’ve found your purchase from my Etsy shop so I know which blanket it is. I’ve just messaged you via Etsy with a link to some videos which I’m sure will help you.
This video is the best I've ever seen. Will only be using this method from now on. Thanks so much for posting it
Fantastic video and so very well explained! I need to draw myself that chart!

You should have them in order it's making so difficult
Do you mean the videos? They are all collected together in the Playlists tab to make it easier for you.
Where can I get the pdf for the layout?
Hi, the link to the blog post on my website where you will find the pdf is in the Description box below the video

It’s called the Beach Walk Blanket, and you can find it in my Etsy shop here - woolthreadpaint.etsy.com
Just wondering if you block your granny squares please?

Marion I can’t found the PDF of the pattern of the Continuous Join As You Go. Can you please send the PDF
The pdfs for both right handed and left handed versions are on my blog/website www.woolthreadpaint.com
