Good video ,I visited Wild Adventures one time not many of the rides were opened and running but I still had a good wild adventure , I remember riding the western themed roller coaster I cannot think of the name of it right now but remember riding it, it was good.I do however remember riding the Cheetah a down out and back Coaster
Duuude! that park looks awesome!! loove it! ... 3:49 hahaha hold tight bro hahah...Those animatronics looks and move cool, cool place, thanks for take us with you man
That Ferris wheel is made of nightmares, I grew up going here and it has always been a sketchy wheel! That wild mouse from the beginning of the video is also from zombie land! (And that go kart looking track was indeed a go kart track many years ago, had a mini golf course too)
The Dino area also used to be a kiddie jeep ride, the walkway is where the ride path used to be, not far away was formerly the Cheetah wooden coaster which was one of the last of its kind, but had to be closed due to mass neglect during Covid
Sorry for the comment spam but this video is bringing back so many memories! Mr twister is a new name for him, his habitat used to be terribly neglected and was mainly used as marketing for the coaster that goes over it, it was formerly called “swamp thing” and the gator has been there since before I was born!
It’s an old park the paper mill down the road doesn’t help with the smell lol. It’s like a discount six flags over Georgia it had its heyday in the late 90s early 2000s. Last time I checked the same company that owns Dollywood owns wild adventures but that may have changed as well
@@ViewFromTheCheapSeats it’s gone through a lot since I use to live in the area. We use to skip school in 2003, 2004 a few ride names have changed but still the same park from back then. I met Robert England there when they were promoting 1001 maniacs and saw a ton of bands there. We always enjoy the content.
Paper mill aroma permeates many small southern towns. It can ruin your day or life. Most mills are now mitigating the smell. Here in Savannah it’s mostly gone.
When I attended Georgia Southern back in the 90s, every time we went to Savannah, the stench from the paper mills was awful. I haven't noticed it much over the past ten years when my family and I pass through on our way to Tybee Island.
I'm a local to Valdosta and more than likely the funk you were smelling was the paper mill that is a few miles up from the park. I live about 5 miles from that mill and can smell it at times. As far as the park goes, it's owned by the same company that owns Dollywood, they don't really invest a lot into the park as far as rides. They focus more on the entertainment side with the concerts. They used to have Hall-O-Scream where several parts of the park were transformed into scare zones, a couple haunted houses, and that swamp trail you went on became a haunted swamp trail. They did away with that a few years ago in lieu of a "fall food tasting" celebration of sorts. Honestly, I'd skip going until they do the Christmas lights.
I used to come here every year for my birthday from 2012-2015. A lot of stuff has definitely changed. New paint jobs and name changes for the rides

This is great history and info! Thank you!
Cool. I see the signs for this on my way to Universal.
Exactly! I figured it was worth stopping over to check out after seeing the signs forever.

A couple of others mentioned the paper mill as well. It was pretty awful, but the park was nice.

Reminds me somewhat of old school Carowinds before it went through all the various mods and updates. Holy cow, that made me feel old.
Ha! I'd love to get back to Carowinds!
@ViewFromTheCheapSeats I grew up about 30 minutes from there and we had season passes. So many good times!
Park needs to be bought by somebody willing to think BIG

The smell was pretty bad, but the park was nice. We've wanted to get back to Savannah for a while now.

Skillet has closed the concert series every year for a while. Easily the most popular show of the year. Sublime with Rome was great.
Skillet seems to hit every theme park each year. They always pull in a big crowd.

All the credits….and concussions.
