I had a 1965 Cyclone, 289, 225 hp, burgundy with Camel interior. Loved it. My brother sold Mercurys at Frank Nero Mercury in Garfield Heights Ohio. Ya, I'm 80 years old.

There was no Comet badging on any Mercury in 1970. The name was not used again until 1971.

In '93, I owned a '72 Mercury Comet (4 dr., "6", automatic tranny) NOTHING "significant", to a collector. I gave this to my girlfriend! DO I REGRET THAT! A GREAT OLD CAR, but NOT a "great" girlfriend!
