I agree with you on the artwork, back in the day if 1 of books in in story arc had bad art I would just read it in the store and hope the next 1 was done by another artist
I vividly remember buying and loving this issue. But I was disappointed that the Toxo-Zombie guy didn't come out of the sludge. Also, I loved the bright colors. I'm a little ashamed to admit it but this was my younger self's favorite era of GI-Joe. Well, maybe the heavy Ninja Force stuff. I loved it all.
I LOL'd when Clean Sweep said "Peek a boo!" Great review. Being a kid in the late 80's/early 90's, I loved the Eco-Warriors and I had the entire subteam. However, you are spot on with this comic. It does seem like Larry was going through the motions with this one.
In retrospect I think Hama may have leaned extra heavy on the ninjas in the 90s because it was the one fanciful aspect of the toys he still felt an affinity for. He just wasn't too into the more outlandish aspects of the toyline.
There is a great comic from the 60’s from dc called the war that time forgot, it ran in Star Spangled War Stories from issue 90 to 138 off and on ( more on than off ). They are well written ( for the crossover material bass ) the art is well done. Kind of an ani log type format. But when you can have dinosaurs and military in the same book. Stand back I am all in. Just a reference for you. You probably already know of this series. But I just had to comment. Keep up the awesome work and as always keep reading comics.👍
even though I was in from 82, I liked the idea of eco warriors, they at least had a good excuse for flashy colors. I did nt like the cover of that issue, but art inside was better than some others. ecos were cool, but, badly exploited I think, nothing a good cartoon story could nt fix. but it never happened.
awesome channel!!you're the best!any comic tropes on alex raymond, jack kirby, hal foster, will Eisner,or burne hogarth?it would be cool to see what you find-thanks!!
To be fair the eco warriors thing and the drug elimination stories only lasted three issues. This issue doesn’t represent the final third of the series well, as it still had some good stuff in it.
COBRA has legitiemte business fronts? If they are profitable perhaps it would not be wise for them to stick to terrorist activities!!! Larry Hama also wrote some excellent Wolverine solo comics.
COBRA'S legit businesses were the inspiration for NUMBER TWO trying to set Dr EVil's businesses on the straight-and-narrow in the AUSTIN POWERS movies!
It is obvious that Christopher and Clean Sweap are one and the same person! He does not do the best job covering the special effects! their eyes are very similar!! Is it the SAME!!!?? But you are a good comics reviewer on RUclips!!! Perhaps the best I have seen who is not pompus like Linkara. Keep up the good reviews!! ありがとう ございます
Toxin tocsin???...Good lord!! English speakers and your homophones!! the most rediculous part of your language! 14:53 this panel the character resembles Baron Wolfgang van Strucker from Marvel Comics. PLAGERISMM!!!

Honestly, these days, the transparently-evil dialogue from Cesspool and the other execs isn't remotely unbelievable.
Chris please keep making videos I thourouly enjoy tgem
I owned the action figure of Clean Sweep and Sludge Viper growing up.

Love both you guys
Well done and a great collaboration.
Man I had this issue (got it in a huge longbox full of various comics) as a kid, and the Eco Warrior version of Flint. What a trip down memory lane.
10:08 'Wall Street' was only a few years old... business puns and hating commerce were still in vogue!
Honestly, I could 110% believe the CEO-types acting like that.
I love the wild colors of 90s toys. Eco warriors are awesome earth hater! ;)

anything for Hasbro to make a quick buck on the latest trend.
HCC788 sent me. Thanks for fill in the the back story with the comic book.
Troy Smith Thanks for visiting!
skunkape I will be back looking for more GI Joe Comic book reviews.
This video helps show how ridiculous it is when a superhero or g.i. joe sits around in their full costume without making themselves more comfortable.

Be sure to check out the review of the Clean Sweep figure on HoodedCobraCommander788's channel.
This was great
and yet that trope is more real to day.
"His testicles are probably DUST" is the funniest thing I"ve heard in a while

Mike Steinbach Not yet but Eisner and Kirby are on the list and Kirby will be fairly soon.
Great looking issue.

I believe Cesspool came from Newton, Ma.
Gotta give 'em points for that ;)
Why wasn't Airtight in Eco Warriors?
HCC sent me here ...!
Leo Reyna Awesome.
wow! cesspool looks alot like a non roid version of Cable. I've never noticed that

They make money, but not *ENOUGH* money.
COBRA'S legit businesses were the inspiration for NUMBER TWO trying to set Dr EVil's businesses on the straight-and-narrow in the AUSTIN POWERS movies!
@@stueygriffith4671 I was about to say the same thing.

Was this created during the era of Captain Planet? It sounds THAT goofy. -- AT
SoftwareAgentsCorp Very much so.
7:38 And what's wrong with THAT, Chris?
Nice Green Screen ^^
