Super interesting video guys! We had no idea that people build mausoleums that fancy! WOW. We also enjoy exploring cemeteries but this is definitely something we have never seen. Gracias chicos
We enjoy cemeteries, too. There's one back in Portland, Maine which we used to walk through daily - it's like a park complete with ponds, trails and even a spring!
Hi D and Susie, we did indeed time the release of this one for Hallowe'en and Dia de los Muertos 👻💀. There are definitely some spectacular mausoleums there. - Fi and Jerry (Your Drifters) 🥰❤🥰❤
I need to see your last video been very busy lately, this was a great video for both Halloween and Dia de Muertos, these drug lords mausoleums are akin to the tombs of the Pharaohs.
Thanks you for watching, mjc 427! Throughout history those with the means and desire to do so have left their mark in death. Still, the best part of our visit was the graveyard kitty!
Unbelievable! We visited the panteon in Puerto Vallarta on Dia de Muertos 2019 (was it only two years ago?). It was very interesting - but there was nothing like these mausoleums. And thanks for sharing your Irish expression: "You can't put a ball hitch on a hearse." My wife and I had a lively debate about what that means - I think because we would call it a trailer hitch and it took a minute to picture "ball hitch". Anyway, neither one of us had heard that expression - its hilarious - and very apropos to this particular cemetery. Well done!
These mausoleums really take the cake! You're correct - a trailer hitch is a ball hitch. We have another equally odd expression "There are no pockets in a habit"! I know essentially it means the same thing - you can't take it with you. I'm just not sure where the habit derives from, as habits are most commonly associated with religious orders. Us Irish are full of odd, quirky expressions! 😉☘ Don't even get us talking 'cause we can talk the hind legs off a donkey!
Rome? Aside from you, who has mentioned Rome? Did you see mention of _panteon_ in this comment thread and think of Rome? If so, that would be the _Pantheon_ of Rome you are thinking of. If you are confused, it's very important to note that a cemetery in Mexico is called a panteón. Carefully read the first comment in this thread again and that should sort it out. BTW, Rome is almost 3,000 years-old - not 1,000! Further, Rome's Pantheon is certainly older than 1,000 years - it's almost 2,000 years-old!
We do mention in the video that Jardines del Humaya is a cemetery for people from all walks of life. It's very important that we say that in the video and we want others to know this.
Yes, some people visiting there could be associated with cartels. Again, it's important for us to stress (for others reading this comment thread) that not all people buried in Jardines del Humaya were associated with cartels and not all people visiting there are part of the cartels, either.

Hi Fiona and Jerry - gosh what an extraordinary cemetery. Spookily appropriate context for Hallowe’en 👻

Thanks for sharing, impressive houses for the dead.
Thank you for watching, Marthe!

never ever thoght i would say this it would be a nice place to live,,,,very nice ,,like a house
Hi Darlene. Yes some of these mausoleums are utterly amazing, often way better equipped than many homes!
If you want to be remembered one way or another 😢😢😢😢
Accepting for the tourist, the people visiting there have a high probability of being part of a cartel... That's why I would think it's not very safe

These $$$people don't understand that where their SOUL ends up for ETERNTY is what matters!!!
