  • This trip was undertaken by single car (Bubble Car) diesel unit over the Battlefield line between Shackerstone Junction and Shenton, the only part of the former joint LNWR/MR branch from Nuneaton to Shackerstone Junction still in use after full closure in the 1970's.

    Couldnt see these New rail busses , trams an shuttles do that.

    I get the impression that this line was double tracked , many years ago ?

      Judging by the width of the track bed and bridges I would say you are right

      It was. The single line formation changes sides a few times on route to pick the “better” side lol
