It's just sad that we have come to a point where homosexuals cannot avail their Fundamental Rights without glorifying or promoting themselves. The question is rather vague. Which religion are you talking about? And he didn't mention the tenets of any religion, but just gave his own opinion. Whatever your view may be on the topic of homosexuality, he completely missed the point in the talk.
Let me explain what he said. Religion has nothing to do with sexuality. It's a discipline that helps people keep harmony in their lives and accept others. And religion says about love only that's pure without any expectations. As long as love is love and pure is not a sin but when it becomes lust there's suffering whether it's between heterosexual or homosexual couples. And as long as freedom is all about own satisfaction or happiness (whether a sin or not) and doesn't harm others , it's acceptable but beyond that there is rules and law against it.
@@arkadevrahul by promotion i think he meant not go make a big fuss about going for or against the notion. varunretro What he conveys is: 1. What they do in their bedrooms is none of anyone’s business. Let them do what they want to as long as they are not harming themselves or others. Let them be. 2. Because it's natural. It has been instilled by nature to have intercourse between a male and female for the sake of reproduction. Everyone is born with it. Scientific studies regarding biology and psychology of homosexuals show no difference in comparison to heterosexuals
Sexuality related to reproduction related to pleasure. Sexual preference nothing to do with reproduction. What a person does in private bedroom religion has no business interfering. If words of religion/authority makes sense, good, if not, politely say that's not the way it is with me. That's my understanding of Sadhguru's answer.

I don't think you need to hear it from a Guru to understand "what someone does in their own personal life is not your business"
It's just common sense.
It's not your life, it's not your relationship, it's not your body and it's not your bed - let people be who they are, end of story.
It's not so much a preference in that it cannot be changed. Can't switch it on and off lolz
Exactly what I was thinking the entire time
Recent studies tell that homosexuality is epigenetic therefore sexual preferences can change same as at age 13 you like pizza and when you grew up, you changed to not liking it anymore..
Although that might be the case, natural or not, it does not matter
Lust is always preference.
@ShekharC'na true if it could be changed why homosexual people suffer & commit sucide
just let people live the way they want as long as it doesn't do any harm to them or you!!
Why didn't, I know it's nice to have it come from another person but, one just Google search this together, while holding to ones knowledge of their religion.
Q.- If homosexuality is not natural, why was it not eliminated through natural selection( the evolution process, we, the type animals( human) experienced through history). It's not eliminated in bunches of different types of animals through the evolution process for them.
So, I'm asking, Why?
Because homosexuality has always been a natural and normal aspect of human sexuality. Then there are all of the levels of bisexuality.

It's Sadhguru's quiet diplomatic interpretation...... Accept it.
Very well answered
Everything he just said is admirable but to use such a commercial world 'PROMOTE' is not OKAY to the community. Representation of Lqbtq community shown in cinema, tvs, magazine, newspaper, etc are done and in fact needed to spread awareness about the lgbtq community and to solve the problems faced by the community. Spreading awareness is not equal to Promotions.
It's just sad that we have come to a point where homosexuals cannot avail their Fundamental Rights without glorifying or promoting themselves. It is not the fault of homosexuals that their activities end up being glorification. Had homosexuality been accepted and considered as normal by everyone, this would never have happened. To be fair, this is the case with most other oppressed communities be it women or dalits. All I want to say is that inorder for the LGBT people to be accepted and integrated into the society, some degree of desensitization and promotion is necessary. Otherwise, even this historic judgement would not have been possible.
This man is full of wisdom
This was so so carefully said as tonot offend anyone god politicians need to learn such diplomacy
He took a stand. You leave with whatever you wanted to leave with, but he did not yield to anything or anyone, if anything he's judging the times and knows saying what you and i feel might be true bluntly it will only lead to this miniscule issue being blown out of proportion.
Im attracted to men in much more than a sexual way.
Yeah it means that u r not amoung natural kinds
That just means you're unique, love yourself!
I love to listen to satguru. He has answered many of my questions. I feel peace when i listen to him. I have gain perspective. I have many LGBTQ friends. I value virtue more than body looks. I find strong character more attractive. I have unconventional family. I am taking care of 2 little kids and one young adult. My eldest one is 28 year old. She is beautiful but what i love most about her is her strong character and values she practice.
I encourage her to listen to satguru.
Before watching this video i thought to my self ,if satguru say anything against LGBTQ community i will stop listening to him. I love to listen to ajan bhram. He is amazing compassionate Buddhist monk. He said once that buddha doesn't care what you do in your bedroom.
Only 3 type of sexual relationship is against buddha .
1. With mentally challenge person. Coz they can't give consent.
2. Minors. They are not capable to give consent.
3. Rape. It is ofcourse without consent. Even in marrige.
Other than these 3 cases . Who is fucking who is not our business.

For me my life and my career and more importantly ambitions of my parents are important.
It is your choice. You can also choose to have heterosexual relationships, but you feel you won't have as much pleasure, as it is not the kind of adventure you are seeking.

@@jocelynakoijam13 Yes i agree. Human rights come first. If lgbt communities were as equal as straight then we wouldn't have to fight or "promote" it.
@@jocelynakoijam13 I'm a little late but anyways. As much as the word "promote" irked me, I'm trying to look at it from a brighter side, where it means you're not propagating and influencing people into something like how media tends to "promote" violence or obsessive unconsentual love. He did not say anything about not showing positive representation and awareness to encourage acceptance. Maybe, hopefully, that wasn't his intention. Peace.
Rig Veda says what seems unnatural is also natural
I don't have any sexual preference ...At the age of 24 I'm trying to discover it but not yet come know
The question is rather vague.
If he says "yes". It would be politically wrong.
It's an Authority ...
Brilliant 📖✍️
Neutral answer. That's what m looking for.
No person has the right to do what he/she likes if it creates inconveniences for others.

Thank you for common sense in this matter Mr Vasudev!!

I am glad and happy to hear this from sathgurur still the word Preference is not the apt one I feel
So human right, freedom of choice, right to privacy doesn't need promotion?
YOU DIDN'T GET WHAT HE ACTUALLY MEANT BY PROMOTION DUMB PEOPLE
@@sagesmoon8422 so why don't you explain it to me... smart @$$?
@@arkadevrahul by promotion i think he meant not go make a big fuss about going for or against the notion. The meant that it should be normalised rather than promoting because promoting something will bring a debate between people depending upon their opinion. Like the abolishment of article 377 homosexuality was normalised and not promoted.
Identities should not get promoted, neither they should get hated.
Judgement of behavior is different from judgement of identity
He is nothing but a really very Smart Speaker......
I agreed with him until he said promotion, no one is promoting homosexuality

"yes" or "no" 🙏😊 02:04
I get your point!!
what yes or not use yr intelligence dump head
varunretro What he conveys is:
1. What they do in their bedrooms is none of anyone’s business. Let them do what they want to as long as they are not harming themselves or others. Let them be.
2. Don’t promote it either.
3. Religion is a kind of authority. Don’t bow down to any authority. Be free. Use your brain and decide what is right.
So it’s a kind of ‘yes’ ‘no’ and ‘alright’ answer :)
This should be a long video and one of the best ones. I have a feeling they cut out the good part. I didn't understand the idea of Sadhguru about it. I didn't understand the idea of religion about it. I didn't get anything from this video. For many people this video could be a cornerstone. It could be huge. It could strengthen a lot of misconceptions. But it didn't.

Homosexuality is ancient. We gotta look at the results while asking ourselves: how well did homosexuality contributed to other countries in ancient times before?

Man I don't think he get it like pleasure and preference. It's not a choice it's not something for pleasure of the body it's something a person feels it's something a person is. And it's need to talk about and it's awareness does need promotion.
Great! When did any of you "choose" to be straight? Please enlighten me
Because it's natural. It has been instilled by nature to have intercourse between a male and female for the sake of reproduction. Everyone is born with it. Scientific studies regarding biology and psychology of homosexuals show no difference in comparison to heterosexuals
Homosexuality is fine to me as long as they don't start glorifying it.
Loved the explaination
as a human we can accept many things which appropriate for us but God's rule is different.Homosexuality is prohibited by God.
