I believe music can move us in a way nothing else can at times. It touches something deep and distant in our mind and soul and sometimes we hear and see the story that the artist wanted to communicate with the world and we feel it too. Somewhere deep inside we connect with that story and those untold and unseen worlds... I hope those tears are only a cathartic experience and you feel peace and happiness in the end. I've been also looking into music therapy. Some frequencies are known to affect the human body and mind in a certain way. There's actually some body of scientific research backing the effectiveness of them. Ofcourse there are some exaggerated concepts and even some conspiracy theories involved too, but I stay away from those :) For example there are some studies showing that listening to music tuned to 432Hz has proven effective in reducing anxiety and lowering heartrate in patients that were about to go under medical operations and were experiencing nervousness. I personally think it can produce a more peaceful effects in music, and it also make the music sound a bit ancient or "from another time and place" and I feel it suits fantasy music well. Music tuned to 528Hz is known to soothe the body and mind. Some believe it has healing effects both emotionally and physically so it has been used in sound healing. I tune the instruments to those frequencies when making music, mostly because I enjoy the sound and affects my self. Music is a very personal experience after all :)
