    it all sounds so simple and easy to do but in reality what Clay does not mention is club face control or getting stuck underneath and behind, causing shots to fly out straight to the right or to the push side, not slice, but pushes. I have to set up slightly open to have any chance of keeping my shots in play with a fade because this tuck move just gets me stuck underneath hitting pushes.

    Not all golf tips make sense to me. This tip has struck a chord and I am looking forward to trying this weekend.. So frustrated with pulling my irons left and nothing has worked... Freaking hitting PW out of bounds. I'm looking forward to trying this.. Thank you in advance... I'll let you know. If this works I'm talking 10 strokes

  • @jakemagie7962

    I’ve randomly developed this pull shot recently. It’s slight with the irons but it’s pretty bad with the driver. I went out today and had 6 really good drives and then the rest were pulled left and high. So I tried to open the club face and it got slightly better but not enough. Excited to see if this is my problem and hopefully fix it. When I’m missing the drives as well, i’m hitting the top part of the face causing it to shoot up in the air. Wondering if it’s all simply from coming in at that angle instead of tucked

    Nice video. However could it not be going left because the club face is striking the ball closed because of a strong grip? I’m a chronic puller of the golf ball. Haven’t been able to figure whether it’s an over the top move or closed club face at impact. I can also hit dead straight and push right! Never really know which one is next!

    • @TopSpeedGolf
      @TopSpeedGolf  3 года назад +1

      It's hard to exactly say without seeing a swing, but it sounds like you're coming over the top. I would download an app like V1 and record my swing down the line. Draw a line from your club's hosel through your elbow plane and if you're above that line on the downswing then you're too steep. Best of luck! Nate | TSG Instructor

    Over the top of a bad thing for all clubs…I battle that and trying to fix it . This is a great video. Glove time under arm pit. I shoot around 90 because of over the top….the fix feels weird but I know I need it. The driver will kill you over the top. You looking at a bogey if lucky and a double 5 times out of every round. That’s a sick feeling. Thanks for video. I subbed you. Now I keep working on this till I get it🤞

    What if your pull is caused by a closed clubface and your not coming over the top? How do you fix that

    • @TopSpeedGolf
      @TopSpeedGolf  3 года назад

      A pull is caused by the face being closed to the target AND an over the top. If you weren't swinging over the top and the face was closed then you'd hit a draw/hook. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

    how far away do you stand from the ball. I'm 5' 10" 265lb and my usuall stand is place the club behind the ball at target, let club drop down and then grip it. I've also was noticing yesterday with the new grips on put on my club the club face is closing more than usual. What is a fix for that? Do I need to change my grip. I usualy hit the ball well with a weak grip, but now ball is going left.
