- Wiesel 1A4 is a VERY small vehicle in online game- War Thunder. That makes it hard to notice and allows it to hide where you couldnt with normal sized tanks.

I always wonder why this smol thing is 7.0 but the R3 T20 is 5.0
wheeled vehicles have their own disadvantages
but still not enough for the gap to be 2.0
Wheeled base that hinders off road performance, no APDS, no modern stuff, no scouting ability, bigger frame, the driver windshield can be penned with rifle caliber I think... And anyways you'll be using R3 as italian SPAA for the whole tech tree since sidam sucks

Has thermals
has APDS belt
Has laser rangefinder
It's mainly Gaijin hasn't replaced it with something. It could be 6.X if they gave it it's stabilizer back and APDS rounds, but that's just my opinion. But also, looking back, there really isn't they could replace it with, so...
Because 5.0 is essentially the most difficult BR range both of these can operate as tank killers. Gaijin wants them to be AA, but crush the low armor and open tops of 3.0 BR.
But its BR is almost Irrelevant since you end up having an easier time penetrating thing in the 6.0 range and beyond. So R3's can almost do their best when uptiered at their respective BR, keep pushing it and you find your small size and speed to be the advantage of slow reloading, 100%+ visibility tanks.
I read from a veteran that because Wiesel is so small, handy and fast, it has led to more than a few accidents, as the temptation to be Fast and Furious with this. Both US and German soldiers have had a lot of fun with this.

Thank you for making this. I absolutely LOVE this vehicle (probably because of the broken optics on top of an R3-esque cannon).
But it is SO small, SO easy to hide. Perfect for Puma lovers while letting you do event rewards (PLEASE MAKE EVENTS ALL RANKS GAIJIN!).
Would it be a good idea to take it out with a big gun tank as your squadmate? Better be derp guns so enemies won't expect them to be able to score a hit at extreme long range snipes

You'll "never" win if you don't play dirty in the Wiesel. Seeing how small you are compared to everything else, should be a sign on how to play. The Italian mains will understand a bit more, on how to use and abuse a 20mm cannon.
If gaijin makes events all ranks that would mean more seal clubbers, and seal clubbers drive out new players
Please please please review le funni twin 23mm cannon strapped on a APC (the BTR-ZD). The HE shells on that thing is ludicrous, just grazing a wing can turn a plane to mush

@@Jacob_DwyerYep that's in the game, and is actually pretty op, but will face a lot of stronger enemies (its 3 battle ratings above the 1a4)
You can use the A14 to back up on stairs and over in town at B on one desert map.Sit there and cap and blast then as they cant see you.Till they get smart that is!

You can kill T-55 and T-80s with a Wiesel, but you need to kill their tracks, barrel and 50 cal. first (which sometimes is apparently invincible) and can for the T-55s first shoot through the back of the turret, the far upper edges of the engine deck from behind to kill crew or ammo and for T-80s you shoot between the road wheels for a spectacular ammo explosion. The connection between chassis and turret is also sometimes pen-able.
Often gets you killed, but achieve a basic spot assist and you are already sitting in a heli; their loss really.
I just started watching your videos and YOU SIR I think are the most entertaining, informative, and useful WT tubers anyway. I find myself LOL with your silly jokes but yet learning more about WT than I did before. May you have a MILLION subs.

An application you haven´t considered is using the Wiesel to spawn in aircraft.
As you can spot a lot of enemy tanks you will get a discount on the spawn points necessary for planes, AT ANY BR.
This will allow you to get out the aircraft without anything but spotting.
Additionally you now know all the enemy positions.
I mean this is already available for all light tanks with the scout feature so this isnt special to the wiesel

When I was stationed in Hammelburg I saw these little things driving around to the training area. Great vehicles
i like how bad you opinion of the tank is. gives a overview what gaijin possibly thinks too. i my self rock and roll in this thing.
high situational awareness packed with the utilities of the tank allow me to easily pick targets or evade bad encounters.
this tank is also a awesome support vehicle for your MBT's as it can quckly disable a enemy and also help your teammate repair quicker.
many heavy tanks even such as the T-10M can be defeated with this annoing fluffball. (up to you guys to earn the knowledge of tank weakspots)
now i want a wiesel while playing at br 1

I always wanted to have a squad with one of this guys + an AVRE, so that they could rangefind targets for me.
This and R3 are nightmare to fight against. But if i had to say German vehicle is much more balanced at it's BR, one might say it a lesser of two Wiesels.....

Wiesel is definitely not an AA vehicle. There is Kugel at the same BR that is much better in this role.

Real gaijin logics - the WORSE something is in real life - THE BETTER its in WT. Just look at BMP-1 its made in 1966 but fight WW2 stuff and is an incredibly powerful IFV, look at T-64 now first tanks made it to service in 1967 and its a much stronger machine in general, but since its better it gets a BR of 9.0 and fight "Cool modern thermal sight cars and LTs". Same stuff with pattons, german late ww2 tanks, american heavies, soviet heavies, e.t.c. Im not a fan of historical balance since real life is unbalanced, but devs should turn on their brains and separate late WW2 and HEAT cars, or stuff like wiesel.

Honestly your more likely to come across a wesil user that will use the tank recklessly rather than strategically because they've already died multiple times or they think because the tank is so small and nimble you won't be able to catch it easily.😐

the BR are pure utter BS by gaijin, a war machine built on 1979 or 1980, against WWII tank or pre-vietnam tanks
Matchmaking is based on vehicle's effectiveness in intended role, and effectiveness in unintended role (i.e., fighting tanks). Based off that, the br is fine. Matchmaking based off of time period has not been a thing for a very long time.
