I love the show Cats, and I think they do a superb job of it on Oasis. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it always bums me out when people bash it, as the performers are so darned talented. They've got to be excellent dancers and singers as well as actors to really pull off conveying the various catlike emotions and personalities. To me, the show is about exploring the ways cats are like humans and humans are like cats. The cats on stage can be sneaky, self-important, or overtaken by nostalgia, but we all can be the same too sometimes. And if we can be amused by seeing, for example, Rum Tum Tugger strut around and sing in his self-aggrandizing way, then maybe we can also understand and accept that tendency in ourselves.
I'm not on a cruise...haven't been on a cruise in 5 months now....don't have my next one scheduled until 2024...and I watch these from my desk at work...but let me tell you I get so sad at the last day every time! It's the worst day of the cruise!!!
I love Maya Chan. I'm looking forward to going back again because when I was there the last time there was so much seaweed that you couldn't get into the water, but I still had a great time.

The Diamond Concierge sits at that desk during those hours. They can help with all kinds of things. Reservations for specialty dining, excursions and other issues. For example, our last cruise on Harmony, the D Concierge (we're D+) helped with our D+ gifts that were never delivered. They all know who to call and how to get things done.
Just an FYI, the bread from taste of royal is from 150 Central Park! One of our favorite breads on the ship and we love the rest of the 150 menu as well! You two should try it some time!

Good video really enjoyed it. In your opinion, if you could only take one cruise what cruise ship would be good for a person who can't go but once a year. We went on the Mardi gras and encore. Have a 19-year-old and a 9-year-old grandson. thanks for all you do.

Sure! Children at the bistro for dining seemed to be fine, and we saw a few in there. Just not hanging out in the general solarium area, as it’s considered to be adults only.

We vlogged it back in 2020, and it’s an independent excursion, yes. Maya Chan Beach Resort, and they provide the transportation back and forth, which we love!! :D
Taste of royal is too fish and seafood heavy. Good for you all but I don’t eat fish or seafood. Is there a land based menu?whoops! Asked and answered. Sad!
I think the Tandoor concept wasn’t widely liked by guests, and the upcharge Seafood Shack made more sense for Carnival’s bottom line. You can typically ask for Indian food in the MDR on any ship and they’re usually happy to oblige!! :P
@Lori Barber No, they usually don’t prepare specific dishes on request, but they can get you whatever Indian dishes they’ve prepared for the crew that day, from what I understand.
I know ur hearts are in the right place but I disagree with letting the kids win … I know might be an unpopular opinion but it’s kinda what has made a huge difference between our age group and theirs… they don’t know how to gracefully lose and to learn to work harder … they are the era of participation trophies and games with no scores. It’s not overall helpful. Yes obviously y’all would know more in that trivia than them but they also can realize that yeah they might have lost bc of just more life experience and that’s also a learning tool and something to look forward to and they should congratulate u. But giving things to kids just bc they are kids in an open competition I can’t agree …

We loved our C Park balcony room on Oasis. The view is wonderfully lush.🌿🌿🌿 Sitting out listening to music was great.

It’s an upcharge specialty dining option. I think it was $35ish per person, if memory serves.

I am with you jay, I love Indian food…why did they lose the tandoor grill on carnival?? What ship out of Florida has the best Indian food?
