I agree, I'm trying to decide between a 959 and a V2. I find the 959 much more aesthetically pleasing but the V2 is a technically better bike, such a hard choice!
I picked the 959 vs the v2. It looks better to me at the same time the color screen on the v2 is cool. You seen the new matte white and red v2 coming? Look at it if you havent
V2 after this vid. I’ve been holding off to see where prices land. Still around $18.5k OTD in LA. BTW what riding jeans are you wearing? Def need to upgrade to handle the heat of the V2
@Petrolhead loved the video, thank you. I ride a Supersport S currently and that also has a ‘butter’ up-and-down quickshifter... and honestly, I actually think the V2 and V4 have borrowed a lot of thinking from the Supersport which has exceptional ergonomics. I also found the 959 in Australian trim shunts very badly below 4K RPM while the SS is smooth as low as 2k. How’s the V2?
959 / V2 and all panigales are race bikes. They are not road friendly as your SuperSport.. your SS is upright and better as a daily whereas the natural territory for a pani is high revs at the track pushed to the limit. V2 should be same.
I will be adding the ‘19’ Corse to my garage when I get the chance to, and may leap over the v2 for the v4 some day... not sure yet?? (as time and money permit of course ;) people, people- these bikes put out heat and have a fairly aggressive riding position- largely due to the race breed lineage they descend from- that said don’t be detoured if you feel it would be right for you (the right clothing, proper time to ride, best roads) all help! But the feel good you’re looking for comes with a bit of raw brutish nature in Ducati, add some heat shielding, some engine ice etc. and enjoy the Ducati experience not for the faint of heart ;) p.s. be prepared for extra attention everywhere you go, people love these bikes. Great video PetroHead!!!
Ducati deff gets a TON of attention! I was riding the V2 and V4 yesterday... doing heat tests (coming soon!) and I got so many compliments and looks. 😍
Very informative vid. The discounts on 959, and superseded V4S, are spectacular where I live and so very tempting. But the electronic suites on the ‘20 V2 and V4 are tempting but is it worth the higher price? 1st world problems
Any recommendations for a socal dealer? Looking to trade in my Daytona 675. Seeing some insane 2019 prices but the updates to the v2 are hard to resist. Hoping I can get a V2 at MSRP
I would recommend you contact Aaron Klink over @ Ducati Newport Beach.. they are fair and very professional.. I'm sure you seen me talk about them a lot on my videos. Good luck! 👍
Hi,do you have any heat problems with your 959 in traffic as I do,I live in Sydney and traffic is pretty bad, have ordered a heat shield kit from Ducati spacers in the US,waiting for it to arrive, but is there any other little tricks I can do to keep the heat from the rider?great vid,
@@dsd-downshiftdave8056 Oops.. my bad wrong post.. Some dude asked about why the blinker light was going off while I was riding.. that was my response lol
New merch site.. Go get some!: www.petropowered.co
V2 for sure - Electronics package and LED headlights. Single sided swing arm and i could go on. Just a lot more modern version
.

LOL I know man.. so hard.. Get a test ride on both.
Same with me
Both beautiful bike's, personally apart for the swingarm and the dash I prefer the look of the 959
V2 for me, I have the bayliss version with full ohlins, amazing bike.

Audio quality is good , good review
Thank you 🙏
I had the 959 Corse and now own the V2 . The V2 is the better bike. The 959 shows its age in comparison. Many reasons already mentioned below
Panigale V2 or Panigale 959? Write your comments down below. 👍
V2 All the way!
I agree the 959 has better design fairings.
v2 for sure
Have a 959, love the look, but i kinda like the updates of the b2

do you think in upgrade dashboard and kickshifter in your 959?
Don’t understand your question.
@@PetroHead You can upgrade/change the actual 959 display to the v2 tft display. It just a plug & play ruclips.net/video/w68-ifyhTdM/видео.html
@@MrDamiusen That's not a V2 dash.. that's from old 1199 I think... its pointless if you ask me.
Have read everywhere v2 is more comfortable than 959. But is 959 with comfort seat comparable to v2 comfort?
Will do comfort seat review soon.
8:05 man times have changed. I wish prices were still 2020 prices.

The 959 does have heat issues but as you may know, I live in San Diego so it doesn't get as hot as the "down unda"
Do you still have 959? Any issues

Yep 👍
That is a shame.
where are these $17.5k otd v2's?
