I think the closest thing you might get to that is Vault 92 where vault dwellers were submited to some sort of white noise making then enter on a state of trance
except then the white noise made them extremely violent and they all starting to kill each other vault 92 is also where we learn mire lurks are vulnerable to extremely high pitches noises which is likely how the mire lurk kings control the lesser mire lurks
