I love how Charged makes all of the characters look like some kind of ascended or demonic being. It's such a departure from typical Mario style and I love it. I think Battle League has some really good animations as well honestly. I just wish they'd record some different voicelines for the first time in 10-15 years. I'm so sick of hearing that same "Let's Go" from Rosalina all these years later for example.
The animations are cool and all, but I have to state that as a Charged veteran, the 3:32 "ultra-speed" sound effect brings such a viceral reaction that I can I cannot describe better than pure malice and I could not love it enough

In terms of just visuals I don't think anything is going to beat charged for me. The style and unique flavour they decided to give all of the animations is just iconic.
Charged is still better. It had a better intro, it felt powerful to do a hyper strike and the hyper strikes had great cinematics, why couldn't they just update the strikes so they are not textures and add more characters.
I personally preferred the more edgy and rugged style from charged. Not only did it exaggerate the personalities of most of it's characters in a unique way, It was a very unique style to what we're typically used to from this franchise. It might not have been the most polished but damn could this game get your blood pumping. Overall i think this choice of art and direction is for the better as this is a lot more family friendly and balanced as Charged did get pretty dark at times. p.s. I'm gonna miss my crotch chopping savage Waluigi... they made my mans into a lover-boy

Charged on the Wii is my all time favourite. I wish on the switch it was a remaster updating graphics and adding new characters. That game had edge and I loved it for that. I can understand the criticism of being able to score up to 6 goals at once, I liked the challenge personally, but I get it and wouldnt mind if they went back to making it 2 goals The one on the switch just feels very underwhelming
sounds like your just bad at the game. i was a top player in charged. was in one of the notorious wii clan so i know for a fact battle league is not underwhelming. they literally added some pros to the game but its still has more cons so far. they removed a lot of shit from charged. even the trick shots
battle league imo is more tactical. In the other games, I find myself scoring and pressing A every time I’m in the opposite field and it usually goes in. For this game however, you actually have to pass, time, and dodge precisely for you to able to goal most of the time. I’ll say battle league is an improvement but it’s still not in that level from the other games in terms of excitement.

Hmm charged supers where pretty cool, if I had to say tho battle league is definitely a big upgrade that's much more visually pleasing. Browsers super in charged is just one of the best tho.
While visually charged looks better with more menacing vibes, The minigame of catching 5 balls was terrible. Getting up to 6 points based on how badly the opponent plays the minigame felt unfair for the person doing the ball catching. Oh did you catch all six balls? Nice. Didn't catch 3 well sucks to suck 3 points.
That was pretty absurd to be fair. As awesome as it looks, 5-6 possible points is really punishing, especially with how hard it is at max speed. Maybe they could have made each one half a point or a third of a point? Sucks Wii games couldn’t be patched without a new physical release. (Although it did limit releasing unfinished games from Nintendo themselves, not counting all the shovelware)
They were good, but the hyper strikes giving a LOT of goals kinda ruined the balance for me. This one looks like it’ll be an amazing game if all the previews are to be believed
Battle league easily has the best animations, but I kinda wish they took a page from the original strikers and only played the full animation if you got it perfect and it was guaranteed to go in. Would make landing that perfect hyper strike that much more satisfying and special.
Never played any of these games sadly, but I have a huge liking towards Charged. I’ve seen the animations compared to the first and the new one so many times and I adore it. So awesome, so unique! I’ll NEVER get over Bowser’s design and PEACH’S.
So I found this out when I was better at the first game, if you manage to do a super strike right outside the goalkeeper's range, instead of him being dragged into the net he'll just do like a spin out as if he's dizzy

TBH, I think being able to score 5 goals at once was a BIT much. Visually I can kinda understand, but gameplay wise being able to just… charge for a 5 goal shot at any point was a bit much.
Maybe because they felt out of place? It is a bit strange given we’ve seen them in other games, clearly nintendo owns them, they just don’t feel like using them.
