When I was a kid, there was a french comics about a grandad inventor and his 2 grandchildren, and one of the issue was about him inventing a shrinkray to get rid of termites, but it backfires and they are shrunk as well, meeting some of the normal sized termites as well. It was good ^^

Speaking of it looking like a PS2 game, the first entry of the series I played was Global Defence Force on the PS2 over 15 years ago. The scale was insane even back then. It's such a great series. EDF!! EDF!!
Air raider isn't that bad of a class single player but might be a bit slow until you get more weapon unlocks. The class does require you to pay attention to what type of stage it is because airstrike weapons can't be used in underground stages but outside of the airstrike choices you can summon mechs like the one in that 2nd stage to use.
Grounded is pretty fun and very beautiful but on regular setting definitely *not* accessible for arachnophobes (I'm not one but those spiders creep the heck out of me, lol). I don't know if the "censored" version would make for a good playthrough.

Wing diver is the most delicious class, in classic Buffalo style, teriyaki or lemon pepper. Giant ants are well known for disliking the flavor of pants, that's why they are often trapped inside them.
I'm either the Dan that trips at the starting block by forgetting to load my big guns, or the Dan that creates the Plot Weapon after a 2-minute montage, only to be killed and eaten as I'm handing it over to the Hero (my only recoverable remain is the hand and wrist that were holding the Plot Weapon).
I’m still watching this so idk if it’s mentioned but Dan. If you want more ppl to get into this series, I would look into the spin off series they made, worlds brothers. It has a mega blocks, minecraft art style so the bugs just look like blocks instead of being overly detailed. They just announced a sequel to it a few weeks ago and will be shown at TGS!!
Hell yea, another Fencer player! The sword and board speed demon on one weapon set, and the two 30 mil canons to snipe and or shoot through a massive crowd.
My favourite EDF weapon is still the hand grenade that has a 5m "ultra heavy" maximum throwing range, a 250m blast radius, detonates instantly on impact, and deals 10,000 damage.
EDF! EDF! EDF! There is another EDF that was released after this, EDF 6. And it does have better graphics. not the best, but it wouldn't be or play like an EDF game if it did. Unfortunately, it's been out for over a year in Japan, but has yet to be translated for release in the US. Hoping it eventually does get the release though.
I'd be the one who makes it to the end and gets killed due to structural damage as some large metal chunk of debris just splats me on my way out of the final battle ground.
Im a huge fan of the gameplay of EDF all the way back to the first one on the 360. However, my severe arachnophobia kept me from playing beyond the early episodes. Ants are fine for me, so until you get passed them im fine, but I cannot face the spiders.
If anything, try the spin off game they put out, world brothers. It’s whole art style is just a block/minecraft look. Which I would also recommend to Dan if they want to play more E D F
@@soulpiece1 ill check it out but I think Dan has plenty of EDF if they wanna play more. I honestly wouldnt mind seeing them play the original EDF 2017. Nothing has wowed me like those first few levels and the number of ants that come at you.

I'm from Chicago, but I've been living down south (Tennessee specifically 🧡) for about 10 years now. Something that you can never be afraid of if you live down south is insects, especially during the summer months. We are ALWAYS fighting swarms of ants, flies and the occasional moth and stink bug here during this time. I'm usually never afraid of bugs, but when those giant ants started swarming on the little areas of your ship in the game, I wanted to hide. This is weird for me. 😬🐜 what is wrong with me? Lol
Reminds me of that one Kim Possible episode where Kim isn't afraid of little bugs and mocks Ron for being scared of little bugs then they fight a villain who has an army of giant cockroaches and Kim realises she is afraid of giant bugs but Ron fines them cute and develops a friendship with one to the point he can speak bug and they have a boy/dog style relationship.
@@bearianna If I remember correctly it was one of those weird mid season episodes where they do 2 stories per episode (either to save money or because they didn't think the story could fill the whole episode length). Can't remember what the other story in the episode was. It's all on Disney Plus though so finding out yourself is easy enough.
EDF 5 - Epic Blast of a Game :) I would recommend it. Still waiting for EDF 6 to come to the States ... *sigh* Edit: Favorite Class - Air Raider: Air Strikes and Targeted Artillery Strikes for the Win :)
I guess it's a lot like Dynasty Warriors, just a lot of dumb fun :) (though, if my experience with Hyrule Warriors is anything to go by, those games LOVE to throw busywork at you too..)
Conceptually this is really cool, but the bugs, why did it have to be bugs 😫 Literally replace the bugs with anything else and this game would be 11/10, that UFO level looked super cool!
the EDF games are too fun at times. I think they did try and make a more modern EDF game with Iron Rain, there are less bugs on screen but its still pretty good. You can make your own character, weapons aren't limited to class and they added a new class that lets you grapple around like you where in Attack on Titan (which is my fave class to play as)
can't really hear npc chatter. EDF 5 is nice, i still prefer 4.1. because in 5 Wing diver basically have one fun weapon type on normal difficulty and its spark vine
I'm sorry did you just call air raider a support class? First of all, wrong! You are the big dick damage! Second, it has good short cool down gunship attack runs it can call in, in the vein of less than 5 second reloads, that are basically its assault rifle. But better, it will out do a ranger anyday, its just slower. Honestly the Ranger is only good in single player, otherwise you'd best be playing another class most of the time. Playing as a tank or distraction? Fencer or wingdiver. Just general purpose stuff? Still fencer or wingdiver! Air raider if you have a gameplan for that particular mission with its aistrikes and satalite weapons, becuase you should always triple up on items made to put stadium sized craters into the earth. Well, maybe double, and one short cooldown personal defence tool like the gunships. Unless you're playing underground, then, good luck champ. Also, if you're enjoying fencer, well, it can get pretty crazy. You'll out fly any wingdiver ever with higher level gear. Or you can do shield and spear, which i find to be some of the most fun.

I finished this game short ago and I'd really enjoy a whole Earth Danfence Force campaign.
You guys gotta find a hole in Dan Povenmire's schedule to do a four player recording just so somebody can survive until the end of the film.
