I don't know why I read the comments anymore all I have been seeing is people messing with the new comment system some asshole that wished Geoff and his daughter would die, and more people bitching about PS4 vs. Xbox One. They are both great consoles built for the same thing there will never be a winner so get over it.
You know what would end the console wars? If Sony and Microsoft were to make a multi server where both platforms could play together, that's the only way to make gamers stop arguing, to make them play games together

The only reason people argue about consoles is because they're doubting their purchases or their would be purchases, and have to try to confirm their decision not by convincing themselves, but by trying to convince everyone in the world with the opposite opinion.

I don't know why people get so argumentative over which console is better. Let's face it, they're almost identical, both have positives, both have negatives. The only reason xbox was considered better last year was price, controller and cross-game mic chat, yet PS3 had better graphics and probably better exclusive games (The Last Of Us >)
The most important bit about buying a console nowadays is what your mates will get and what will bring out the best games. Most people will probably get a PS4 because it's cheaper, which is always key especially now when people are struggling financially and then the ball will start rolling and the late buyers will see all their mates on PS4 and buy it.
Xbox will be playing catch-up for the first couple of years, not because PS4 is better, but the price will prove more important at the beginning.

Bullshit Man Not that difficult really. For the price of an Xbox One you can build a good PC that will run just about anything for the time being. I built mine 2 years ago for around $700 and it's still better hardware than either of the new consoles. Or another example, the Steam Boxes. The mid tier Steam boxes will run probably around the next gen console price point, and will have a much larger library of games over all.

They're a company that made their success off of RvB, a franchise that was created from Halo, which is only available on Xbox. Expect them to like Xbox more than Playstation which hasn't given them SHIT. (In my opinion both great consoles though :D)

I am not on either side of this, I can't afford either I fit in there, but the PS4 does have better specs, It uses GDDR5 RAM which is better then the GDDR3 in the Xbox One, Also the GPU in the PS4 is rated at about a Mid-tier Graphics card, while the Xbox One is on the Lower-tier(compared to PC GPUs) When the day comes when I have money, I am not going to look at specs, I am going to look for the GAMES that I want to play.

All these console vs console or consoles vs PC wars... I'm getting tired of it.
Listen, it's not about choosing a console or PC for it's graphics, or power or anything really. It's choosing what you like to play the most and which games you like to play the most.
For me, I'm going to get an Xbox One because the exclusives on that interest me the most. TitanFall, Halo, Dead Rising... Those are the games I know I like to play OR games that I want to try out (always wanted a good Mech Battler). I don't care if something runs at 30 or 60 fps, or if something is 720p or 1080p or 4257900p for all I care! I just want to play the games I like and if that's on a certain console then I will play them on THAT console.
Had Sony released a list of games that blew my mind, I'd buy a PS4, but since absolutely none of their games even pick my interest (and those that do, like Minecraft and Kingdom Hearts are on the One as well) I won't be getting a PS4, simple as that.
As for PC gaming... I've never been a PC gamer. I dabbled in it, playing Guild Wars 1 and 2, DayZ, DC Universe Online and Team Fortress 2 but... It never grasped me. The PC games were the ones I lost interest in the quickest even. I really dislike playing with a Keyboard and Mouse and like I said before, why use a controller on a PC? If you have to have a controller on a PC to play games on it, you might as well get a console right? And since I'm one who doesn't care about graphics and other stuff other gamers seem to keep in such high regard, I don't even see the point in getting a gaming PC or even choosing a console that has the highest end stuff.
I'm weary of this bickering and I think others who have the same thoughts are as well... So I'll just enjoy my games in peace, and let you warmongers keep on fighting about who has the best rendered stick...

Well, I don't think you have to pay to play online BUT there's an optional Plus thing you can pay for to get exclusive stuff... Don't know for sure, since I'm a 360 gamer. XD

I sure hope they do great. While I don't have much interest in either console at present, they both play a major part in the success of the industry as a whole.
I think it's good that there's another generation of consoles. I just have a personal prejudice against Sony for my own personal reasons that honestly has nothing to do with their games or consoles themselves. I choose not to participate in the "console war" because there's no point.

I've played Xbox and Xbox 360, PS, PS2, PS3 and I think they're all good. Xbox One is more of an entertainment system and that's why I'm picking that. I wouldn't mind having a PS4 but considering you get Titanfall and Halo on Xbox One I'm more with the Xbox. Simple I don't hate either they both have their ups and downs and we'll see their downs sooner or later.

I intend to get an Xbox One and a Wii U sometime next year simply because they have the games I want on them. PS4 doesn't look bad but i'm not interested in the exclusives. Hope the Xbox One's controller is as good as the 360's though.

You, my friend, are exactly like me. I don't dislike the PS4, I dislike the rabid fans than need to go on and insult anything not PS4... I just don't care for it because the exclusives don't really draw me in. And before anyone asks, yes, I have played some of the exclusives of the PS3, and nothing drew me in like Halo, for instance.
I went to Euro-gamer and i used the Xbox One controller, wasn't as good as the 360 in my opinion as i didn't liked it that much but that is my opinion

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK FPS MATTERS SO MUCH? Seriously my sister got a new computer and plays Skyrim at like 140 FPS and it just looks weird..also she cant figure out how to turn it down...consoles 60 fps will be enough for me...
I think you are talking about mouse sensitivity, try turning that down.
Because frame rate can affect gameplay if it's not balanced properly. IE: terrible lag, slow down, choppy gameplay, and terrible glitching. Frame rate is actually pretty important.

Play at 100+ fps for a while and anything on a console will look laggy.

For everyone saying PS4 is better, can you give me a good reason why? Xbox one has tons of useful voice commands, facial and voice recognition, much prettier and intuitive interface, super-quick switching between apps, a MUCH better camera, etc. The graphical power is nearly identical. The only thing I can see to gripe about is the price difference. Sure they had bad marketing and policies before, but now that they're removed whats there to hate it for? It seems like Microsoft is taking risks and trying to actually make a next gen console, not simply up the graphical power.

As someone who is 5'4, I know your pain Kerry.
Consoles were worth the money last gen, but not anymore. With the rise of very cheap PC hardware, and constant Steam and Humble Bundle sales, PCs are far better for the price. At this point, the only real reasons to get consoles are friends and budget limitations. Most other consoles can be emulated, and PC has far better exclusives than the ones that can't. People used to use controllers as excuses to get consoles, but now PCs have their own controllers. It's not even particularly hard to set up games anymore.

Also i really wish people would stop blindly calling a console bad because they're either too dumb to form their own ginuine opinion or are so assbackwardly dedicated to a single ideal taht they refuse to see any other alternative. PS4 is nice. its small, lightweight, runs really quiet and cool, the UI is clean and easy to navigate, i was able to plug it up in seconds as it uses my old ps3 cables.
I'd probbaly get an Xbox one as well if not for the fact that Microsoft is making every effort to drive themselves into the ground. maybe with the Xbox branch splitting off microsoft, they can actually focus on making a console for GAMERS, and not an overglorified dvr.

What i think is that which ever console you get exposed to first, then you usually stick to that console you grew up with. I grew up with the playstation series so i stay with playstation. im pretty sure people who got the xbox first would stick with the xbox. Just my point of view of the console wars i guess. Which console did you guys grow up with?

it also comes to exclusives - i grew up on the PS1 and 2, loved it, but i wanted to get Halo and because i wasn't into PC gaming i went to the 360 to complete the series. If i had the money i'd probably buy both for the exclusives and then role with the multi plats on the Playstation

True. But new PC games cost less. I don't think console gamers save that much in the long run. They pay more for games but sacrifice quality and control ability in the process. Making the initial down payment on a PC is worth it!. It will play all new games in superior quality but also emulate all your old consoles and arcade favourites too.

I find it ironic that the Playstation fanboys (note: Fanboys, not fans. There's a difference) keep claiming that the PS4 will be better for the sole reason of "its slightly more powerful lol" even though the PS1 and the PS2 were both less powerful then the N64 and Gamecube but were both considered to be "better". Let's face it. Neither is better.

MrLuigi66100 The N64 was actually a lot stronger then the PS1 from what I remember but due to using cartridges it didn't have as much space yo use decent quality textures or sounds. I don't think there was as much of a difference between the Cube and the PS2 but the Gamecube did have a more powerful GPU and its CPU had almost twice the clock speed.

If you get a good PC, then all those cons are nonexistent. Get a decent firewall, get a really good computer built for gaming, and get a USB controller. Most games can be played on the PC with a controller now, I've done it myself. I've had a computer last longer than a console before because I took care of it.

I'd say the hard to use on a PC comes not from necessarily installing the games, but from building and installing the software of a proper gaming PC. To do that you have to possess an understanding you just don't need for consoles (Trust me I know. My comp has been moaning about a BIOS/CMOS issue for years yet no amount of computing knowledge, which I have tons of, has yet helped me find the root of the problem)

Generally the same game on console will be the same as on PC, except maybe awhile after release.
Oh I thought that was generally the reason for PC's being more expensive. But I think most games are cheaper on PC.
