@fishntools a couple of things, I'm sure. I think I'm not using the editing software correctly. If I had watched the whole video before making it public, I think I could have fixed it. (ill never do that again) the water scenes are messed up as well. still learning the audio stuff. I do everything with my phone for now.
@@stonedapeadventures Seemed odd, the moment your turned the pump on the volume dropped and when you turned it off the volume elevated. Glad you're back and made it through!
Thats why i double on hiking poles with round pin down disks. Id chit if i ran across this . Im in Wisconsin, we have them but in a few southern pockets. Cant let a canine run in that area for sure. Nice region you are in. Thank you for the trip
most of pa wilds are full of timber rattlesnakes , you for sure want to keep a dog leashed thru here. lots of porcupines as well, I used to have a dog that traveled with me and she found out the hard way about porcupines a couple of times.
my first rattle snake in this area, the Quehanna is well known for the population of these guys, alot of folks see them every trip during the season. but it's been 3 years and roughly 500 miles before I saw this guy
Great video, even with the audio problems. Sounds like you had a great adventure! And I was surprised to see the leaves are changing so fast, I've gotta get up there before they're all gone.
@TheEriegpman I've been unlucky there as far as snakes and bears, I have yet to see a bear either. it's been a tough year for me to get out as well, hopefully you get some forest medicine soon.
sorry about the audio when talking about the Rex creations pump, not sure quite what happened there.
Bet it was the cameras "noise cancellation" function while the air pump was running?

Great job Dave! That campsite is a favorite of mine.
thanks, man! been wanting to camp there for a while. it just never worked out on the agenda.
Love them mossy rocks. Wow that's a big snake. Yeah hell no that was mad lol.
he definitely thought I wanted his bird lol. autumn is happening fast here.
That rattler, did he have a squirrel?
Beautiful area for hiking.
Your flower looked really good too.
Nice trip bro
he had a sparrow, was worried about walking past him, the laurel was too dense to go around, bit figured he was not going to let go of birdie.
awesome video thanks for bringing us along!
@@koboldx314 thanks for watching!! always fun to be in the woods!!
That would of been something to see, him catching that bird….

That campsite was beautiful, surrounded by those old stone walls. Congratulations on meeting your first rattle snake. I have not yet.

i think they will change and fall fast this year, I'll be around porcupine draft this weekend
I remember porcupine draft. It kicked my ass thoroughly a few years ago!
@dr_arctic3773 it's a tough one for sure it's been 3 years for me but I wanna get it on video
Great episode man, shots are great!
@ervinslens thanks man !! eventually, I'll figure out the audio, lol.
I met my first rattlesnake In Arizona when I was hiking and I let him have the whole trail, I went way around him.
i would have definitely given him the trail, but where he was around is thick mountain laurel. thanks for watching!!
It has been "too long" since you've been out, you're getting a little "thick" in your old age, LOL.
@fishntools I'll be out a whole lot more now, hopefully back to 15 miles days before next fall. I'll loose all this damn weight in no time.....
I'm amazed that's ur first rattlesnake, we were there once and saw one! Great video, wish I could get out more this year but life won't let me

awesome job dave, im heading that way this weekend. what kind of tent was that?
@@markcourson it's the sling fin portal 1. I'll be up there again this weekend. what part are you heading to?
@stonedapeadventures we are doing some nuclear test sight loop. its going to be a whole new area for me.
I'm pretty sure it's the same area, wykoff run. but this whole forest was part of nuclear testing....some folks think/say the water here is bad.
What’s your opinion on Bigfoot?
i think it's a fun idea, I'll be doing a video and hunting for bigfoot during the marienville bigfoot festival
25 years ago I was all over Sproul state forest places that you could not drive to not for flat landers.
@dennybowser5533 hiking in the pa wilds is a different beast for sure.
Ever use wooden pipes @@stonedapeadventures
