I’m a 60 year old athlete. I’ve been weight training since 83 when I was in the Navy and never stopped. I was an Ironman triathlete in my mid 40’s. My son is now 25. This is my opinion. Every article I’ve read on weight training with kids, states pre teens should concentrate on more body weight exercises like pushups, pull ups, core work etc. Their bodies aren’t even developed yet at 11! I totally disagree with having a 11 year old doing 1 rep max lifts with the big 3. It states in legit articles that heavy powerlifting with kids that aren’t even teens yet will affect their growth. Think about what his 1 rep max lifts are doing to his joints. How many push-ups can your son do? How long can he hold a plank? Can he pull his body weight up to a pull up bar? When I was a kid we had the Presidential physical fitness award we had to do in HS. We climbed ropes etc. my generation we stayed outside all day playing. This generation of kids due to social media, cell phones and helicopter parents will produce the most obese generation. Why do you think the armed forces recruiting is down? The majority of these kids couldn’t pass the PFT test and the ASVAB due to their sedentary ways. I love you Eddie! I’ve followed you for a long time! Take it from a Dad who cares. I’ve beat the shit out of my body since I was 18 and now have Osteoarthritis that I deal with and have to adjust my workout accordingly. This is just my opinion. He’s your son. I would hate to see him get hurt or even get burned out. Semper Fortis Eddie.
really good comment. In my opinion his son should master the basics first. Create good solid foundation with BW exxercises, lighter weights. Good trunk core muscles... Not forcing to do 1RM... 1 mistake and can cost his life and body a lot... His body is developing now, one wrong move and can cost him lifetime damage. I wish him all the best. This is just my point of view. Hope I am wrong and he can do better than his dad !!

its a pr why are u guys crying over that shit
@@square7935 pr‘s are always stupid
Lol an 11yr old shouldnt pr like that in the first place @square7935
@@King_Kenlee its not that deep and why shouldnt a 11y old pr
What a lovely way to knacker a young growing and developing spine.
The number of kgs lifted shouldn't even be a thing at this age..it should all be about fun..fun, good form & technique, and more fun at this age....at least into later teens.
Eddie may have a lot of experience..but I don't believe this is the optimum way to go with an 11 year old...no matter how "big" they are.
265 pound deadlift!! Very impressive Max!! 😎💪🏆 Hello Eddie from Missouri!!
Kid is gonna be massive once the old puberty kicks in. Great job! Awesome father / son time.
Would you be intersted in debating me on the ethical principles of veganism?
its very immoral to feed a vegan diet to animals. you dont know their physiology than better than nature. stop this nonsense. and then you play call of duty which involves "DEATH" and you treat it as if its the worse thing there is. your animals are forced in your prisons while you play video games. your killing people in video games and then you complain that death is a big issue. stop giving people ptsd from your video games.
Still desperate for clout to help your dying channel i see
Why did you run when i asked for an argument
bro wants to debate an 11year old 😂😂😂
yo what he is almost as tall as eddie at 11 what beast
😂😂 right
Only a few years and min-beast will tower over The Beast! Max has shot up!
1:24 like father like son when it comes to protein farts lol 😂🤣🤣
LOL
If you can't lift weight with the correct form, go lighter. That looked like spinal damage in the making.
This is actually REALLY impressive for your age Maximus. You go brother! 🙏🏼
this kid ain't getting bullied at school for sure
And working out burns off the energy so he isn't the bully. I was the same when young. I needed to burn off the energy or have problems with attention spans. I was never a bully, but it sure as hell made sure no bullies bothered me.
This guy wants to see gis kid in a wheelchair so bad 😂
yeah for real
You just mad an 11 year old can deadlift more then you
@@NewGrow-kb1bg no bro just look at the video and be honest. Can that form be healthy for a growing body pre puberty ?
@@itsmebd7422 you know what, initially i felt the hate towards the kid was because people are feeling insecure, but idk how he normally trains. but surely eddie knows that its not good to max out like that especially with bad form, theres literally not one video of eddie lifting with bad form even at his max attempts, so it does seem a bit strange that he seems to be advocating for his sons fairly bad form, honestly it would be more impressive to see him do working sets with 100kg for example than strain his back like that going for pr in what seems like every video, i get he's young but eddie should have the gym maturity to show his son better
@@Transformwithpuvi Eddie SHOULD know better.
That depressing moment when you realise an 11 year old is stronger than you 😢
New TV show, ‘Are You Stronger Than A 5th Grader?’
Try going to a world climbing competition and realise the 11 girls warm up on routes harder that you can't hope to climb...
Well sadly you can feel better in a few years when his back is thrown out and he can't lift anymore...
more like ruining him whit all that ego lifting, its way to heavy, should concentrate on better form insted
Honestly, whats the difference between a 1 repetition max deadlift and doing push-ups pull-ups to failure in terms of injury risk?
@@Sol-01a very very big difference
@@monkoko6441 Whats the difference?
I didn't ask for a parrot
@@Sol-01 risk of ligament and muscle tears are much higher you can imagine a max deadlift with a curved back elongating all the tissue and then lifting something realy heavy vs lifting or pushing your own bodyweight. How many serious injuryies have you heard of that came from bodyweight pushups squats or pullups? Im not saying lifting is bad not at all I lift weights myself but if you do it with bad form the risk of injury is so much higher then bodyweight exercises like pushups
Prayer's up for this kid's spine.
his is gunna be stronger than yours..
@@mass-cp6jf Not how that works unfortunately.
@mass-cp6jf Spines aren't strong or weak but they do get damaged. Nice try on being an internet smartarse though.
@@andrewnevermind4902 the muscles around the spine make it strong you door knob.
I hope he is still alive 😂 because the impact of what he did is severe
Let’s be honest maxes form is pretty bad on lots of excerises but because Eddie is world strongest man everyone just says he knows what he’s doing
