      @katman2192 I'm not so sure about that. I have an 11-year-old myself, and he started weightlifting last summer. Progress has been quite incredible, and, pound for pound, he's about the same strength as Maximus, including a 1,5xBW deadlift and 1xBW bench, even if we're not exercising those lifts that much.
      We have no particular strength in the family - but we do have a few endurance athletes with decent results in sports such as long distance running, cross country skiing and swimming.

    Ok, so... I did Bench, Squat, Deadlift about a month ago for PB I hit 65kg x2 Bench 85kg Squat, and 105kg Deadlift all PBs. I'm 49 years old and started lifting about a year ago. I turn 50 this September. I challenge you to a 'lift off' when you turn 12 and I am 50... you on? Go on, you know you want a little competition... oh, go on...

    • @billj4525
      @billj4525 11 месяцев назад +4

      50 is a huge advantage over 12 though, it's really not that old. You can still potentially move up pretty fast if you haven't lifted before, while this kid hasn't even gone through puberty. Your lifts low, but I imagine they'll go up a lot if you start eating more and pushing yourself hard. Glad that your lifting though, because it's a very healthy thing to do. Even if you're not worried about muscle and strength all that much, the health benefits to lifting are extreme, so good for you. I know you're joking, but it would be funny to see him have some kind of competition like you mentioned.

    Just got my oldest boy to start going to the gym with me the last couple months (he’s 14). It’s absolutely amazing to see the amount of confidence that kids gain when they start hitting new PB’s.

    🤯 the mind feck of how you bring the bench press toward the rack and safety is insane. I definitely do the same thing.

    Max always coming in with a fighting attitude. Never fails to give it his all. With Eddie's genetics and mentorship he is gonna become one of the best in the world if he so chooses to. Working out this intense and hard at this early age is gonna prime his CNS for the rest of his life. It is an enormous advantage if he decides to go competitive. Truly appreciate being able to follow this journey from the start. Cheers from Scandinavia ⚔🛡🪓⚒

    It's great to see how his squat form has improved over the past couple of months. That's really nice progress 👏
    Great bench and deads as well, keep up the good work💪
    P.S.
    I'm not sure why you'd think kids would spend weeks to recover form maximum efforts. My experience with my own kids is that they recover quickly as long as they sleep and eat properly.

    This kid is amazing with the rapid progress, my one suggestion what to be incorporating more lat accessory work to help him feel the lats and back when he's benching, would help with the other lifts as well.
