I've heard real mixed things about the blue devil you used, the stuff we always used in my car/Danmos car was the stuff that's $70, blue bottle, yellow label, worth a shot if you haven't gotten too far into pulling the motor yet.
Danmo said the same thing. So I actually did the yellow labeled bottle as well off camera. So the footage at the end on the side of the road overheating again was after that bottle.
If your loosing coolant maybe head gasket?? Maybe the boat isn't letting the engine get enough air? If your desperate take the boat off any run it, see if it over heats then?
Bad thermostat? I know you put a new one in, but you can check them by putting them in a pot of water on the stove and seeing if they open! Me and my daughters and I do stuff like this all the time! We work on everything! Lol
@brandontothero7006 shit, i am as stumped as you are brother! There has to be a blockage somewhere i watched the video youve gone over just about everything! All i can think of if its overbored and the cyl walls are to thin its shedding to much heat to the cooling system
Brother these BMW cooling systems are finicky as hell my 06 325i was randomly overheating too exactly like this and she only had 90k original miles on it and i literally tried everything far as troubleshooting with no luck at all till i talked with a BMW tech that is and he told me over the phone without me even finishing describing what my issue was that i had air in my cooling system and told me the proper procedure to clear it out, sure as shytt he was 100% spot on and it took me a couple tries to get it all out but once i did i never had it overheat again not once and i beat the snottt out of that thing! Lol-ol-ol but yeah turns out the coolant overflow bottles are also plastic and equally as brittle so they tend to get micro fractures allowing air in but the coolant does not leak out 🤷♂️🤦♂️ german engineering at its finest Lol-ol-ol but yeah give that a look and it may fix your problems brother....
I am fairly certain it wasn't a bleeding issue. Coolant overflow tank was replaced at the beginning of this ordeal. I have also been using a vacuum assisted coolant fill system that should be bleeding the system accurately from the start, then a normal bleeding while running procedure.
The front of the boat is not letting air get to the radiator I’m sure if you get good air to the radiator will help you’re overheating problem after the head issues are solved

I removed the thermostat completely to test that and it still overheated.

Air flow has not been an issue for the first 9 months with the boat body. Unfortunately it was a mechanical issue.
