Recipe:
Add Aztec Indian Healing Clay to a non-metal mixing bowl FIRST
Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon (optional)
Add in just enough Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar to make a loose paste
Add in about 1 tbsp of Agave Nectar (optional)
NOTE: I did not use exact measurements. Just combine all ingredients to create a loose (not too watery) paste!

I just bleached my hair 3 weeks ago and my curls are almost straight. Before bleaching, I was using a clay mask but I was weary because I thought it would dry my hair even more. Did you do a protein treatment after bleaching?
Did you notice a change in your color after the mask? I have a black color in mine now and was wondering if it will strip it from my hair. I've used the mask before when my hair wasn't black and was curious.

How often should you do this method?
I have used the clay and my hair is very soft afterwards. The clays I use are bentonite, Rhassoul and Kaylan. Love it.

What grade of hair do you have? My daughter has 4c and I'm wondering if this will make a difference.
rylariaizmik it’s not really a grade, it’s a hair type.... grade refers to quality. Hair typing refers to the curl pattern. Her description says she’s 4c, but it looks like there’s also some 4b mixed in.... then again it could possibly be because she bleached it with 40 vol developer. I’m 4b/4c as well, but I bleached mine several times within the last few months trying to fix a bad color and my texture/curl pattern is a lot looser now because it’s over processed smh that happens sometimes. But in the past when I bleached my hair correctly, it did not loosen the texture. When bleaching type 4 hair, there’s a thin line between just right blonde and over-processed, it can be so tricky sometimes 😩😩😩

I bleached and colored my hair , and my CURLS RAN AWAY ! i mean they really just disappeared, couldn't find anything to revive them .. so i big chop a #2nd time ... i want to color my hair again soo bad but this time around ill do the clay mask next day lol
So you are actually going to do it again? Keep going. You may lose your HAIR. Not just curls.
Fiona Gilpin smh same thing that happened to me... the first time I bleached my hair blonde, it DID NOT loosen my curls which was great. But this time when I tried to touch up my roots, I was being lazy and ended up with the wrong color so I bleached and toned several more times and ended up over-processing my hair.. now my ends are straight and my roots and so loose smh 🤦🏾♀️ from experience, I think the best way to avoid losing your curl pattern is to use 20 or 30 developer to lift and then tone... that was my method the first time, when my curls were preserved. When you get your roots touched up, your better off having someone else do it for you so that they can make sure they’re only lifting the roots and not touching the already bleached hair.
